The BBC announces filming has begun on the sixth season of the Call the Midwife TV series, and the 2016 Call the Midwife Christmas special. Call the Midwife airs on BBC One in UK and PBS in the Us. The eight-episode sixth season will be filmed on location at the Chatham dockyard, in London’s East End, and in the studio in Chertsey, Surrey. The Christmas Special is to be shot on location near Cape Town, South Africa.

The first picture of Charlotte Ritchie in Call the Midwife has been released by the BBC.
Fresh Meat star Ritchie joins the cast of the smash hit period drama, replacing Jessica Raine, who exited at the end of the last series.
Ritchie will play rookie nurse Barbara Gilbert in the show and by the look of the first picture, she's struggling to get to grips with life at Nonnatus House.

South West Screen have just sent over these brand new set pictures from their latest movie, Eight Minutes Idle which is currently shooting in Bristol, UK. This is the second film to be made by iFeatures, Sws’s micro-budget filmmaking scheme.
