Coincidentally, 1999 was also the last time four Latino performers took the stage at the Grammy Awards. Nearly 20 years later, four Latino artists will again perform at this year’s historic ceremony. Chart-topper Cardi B is set to sing Bruno Mars’ remix of his 90’s-inspired track “Finesse,” while Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee plan to...

The film won Outstanding Picture of the Year with Viola Davis winning Outstanding Actress and Octavia Spencer taking home the Outstanding Supporting Actress award. Taylor lost to "Jumping the Broom's" Salim Akil for Best Director because apparently, it's a better picture than "The Help!"

Late actor made drum manufacturer an offer they could refuse – a prototype conga drum designed to his specifications
He was an Oscar-winning actor, a sometime activist, an amateur novelist and a noted eccentric. Now it seems another credential can be posthumously added to the lengthy CV of Marlon Brando: that of scientific innovator.
A prototype conga drum, designed to Brando's specifications, has been unearthed in a storage unit in West Hollywood. The actor patented his invention for tensioning drum heads in 2002, after working on the project for several years with Poncho Sanchez, a Latin jazz percussionist. "It's a pretty far-out invention," Sanchez told NPR.org. The website reports that Brando's system replaces the series of bolts around the head of the drum with a single tuning lever.
The drum-tuning system was merely one of several inventions Brando dreamed up in later life. "He had these shoes that you wear in the pool,...
