- (2004/05) TV commercial for John Lewis Partnership, soundtrack : 'Loose Nuke Threat' by J*S*T*A*R*S (Steve Cobby and Sim Lister) has also been used by the John Lewis Partnership for their spring advertising campaign (including TV and cinema) 2004 and repeated in 2005 - 'Spring is Here' (Creative agency: Burkitt DDB).
- (2012) TV commercial for Fiat, soundtrack : Steve Cobby is the electronica duo J*S*T*A*R*S with Sim Lister - their track 'Loose Nuke Threat' features in the 2012 Fiat Panda TV advertising campaign. Eagle-i Music set up the Fiat / J*S*T*A*R*S synchronisation.
- (2009) TV commercial for Nokia, soundtrack : the Fila Brazillia track 'Motown Coppers' from their album Jump Leads was chosen by Nokia to promote their N97 phone.
- (June 2013) Cobby and his collaborator David 'Pork' Brennand issued their third album release as The Cutler, 'Everything Is Touching Everything Else' (Steel Tiger Records ST015, 10 June 2013) - with vocals by Isobel Helen, Archie Heslewood, Andrew Taylor and Little Glitches. Remixes from Richard Dorfmeister (Kruder & Dorfmeister), Gavin Hardkiss (aka Hawke), Tranquility Bass, Mark Rae (Grand Central Music / Rae & Christian), Pete Lazonby, Mark Brydon (Moloko), Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins) and Darren Emerson (Underworld (band)) supplement the release, as the album collection 'Everyone Is Remixing Everything Else' Steel Tiger Records ST017, 30 September 2013).
- (2013) Steve Cobby provided the soundtrack for the Hull 'UK City of Culture 2017' bid film - 'This City Belongs To Everyone', produced by Nova Studios - on 20 November 2013 Kingston-Upon-Hull, East Yorkshire was announced as the winning City, and as the UK City of Culture 2017.
- (2013) In early December - as one of the duo Chieftain - Cobby releases the EP Till Everyman Is Free (ST018). Chieftain is Adam Regan and Steve Cobby - this release follows-up the success of their 2012 EP, 'The War Bonnet' and their 2013 steamy-summer-deep-heat-deep-house-disco-stunner 'Out Of My Life'. Adam Regan is a DJ (Different Drummer, Leftfoot), club owner (Hare & Hounds, Bull's Head), and producer (Chieftain). His clubs are a haven for fans of leftfield, soulful music. Both Cobby and Regan are noted for their sets each summer at the glorious Garden Festival in Croatia.
- (2013) In mid-December Steve Cobby releases his third Solid Doctor album - A New Gladstone Bag (ST019). "...instrumental experimentalism par excellence.
