Jane Applegate is an experienced producer of independent films, narrative and documentary. In 2014, she produced "To Keep the Light," a historical drama shot on an island off the coast of Jonesport, Maine. The film was written and directed by Erica Fae. Fae, who plays Abbie Moore, co-starred with Antti Reini, one of Scandinavia's leading actors.
She line produced "Kettle of Fish," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, starring Mathew Modine and "Brief Reunion," a murder mystery which won the audience choice award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
Applegate has written and produced one-hour documentaries for NBC and Discovery, including serving as supervising producer on five Discovery Health specials. "The Anatomy of Sex," is still one of the network's most-viewed specials.
She's an active member of the Producer's Guild of America, serving on the documentary film committee and New York Women in Film and Television.
She's producing a pilot for a global travel and beauty show.
