Kristen Bell may have dozens of acting credits under her belt but that doesn’t mean she was initially fond of the idea of her children following in her footsteps.
The Veronica Mars alum recently spoke to People magazine at the opening night of Reefer Madness: The Musical at The Whitley in Los Angeles about her daughters — Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 8, with whom she shares with husband Dax Shepard — potentially working in the entertainment industry one day.
“You know it’s interesting, when I first thought about it, I thought, ‘Oh, I don’t want them to be actors. There’s too much rejection,'” Bell explained.
However, it was Shepard who encouraged her to keep an open mind. “Then my husband said, ‘Wait, do you like your life? Do you have fun? Are you overpaid? Do you get to be creative every day?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘Why would...

Iron Man 3 director Shane Black initially pursued an acting career before he became a renowned screenwriter and director in Hollywood, just like Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. Before he directed the fourth movie in The Predator series, little did fans know that he had an acting role in the first movie alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was during this time that he sold the script for the classic buddy cop movie Lethal Weapon.

It took little time for Black to get the hint from his acting and screenwriting gigs that he was not suited for the former career. Black doubled down on his screenwriting works and became one of the highest-paid screenwriters at the time.

Wes Craven's 1977 film "The Hills Have Eyes," like Tobe Hooper's "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" before it, features a vanload of city folks who find themselves waylaid in a forgotten corner of the American wasteland. In Craven's film, the wasteland is not rural Texas, but the irradiated deserts of Nevada. The protagonists (Dee Wallace is among them) are beset by the brood of the sadistic Papa Jupiter (James Whitworth), including Mars (Lance Gordon), Mercury (Arthur King), and Pluto (Michael Berryman). Years ago, Jupiter moved into the hills with his wife (Cordy Clark) and raised their children to attack and cannibalize passers-through in order to survive. "The Hills Have Eyes" is raw and brutal, but possessed of a winking sense of humor that horror fans will appreciate.
The original film only cost about $700,000 to make (although the actual budget isn't very well recorded), yet it went on to make over $25 million,...

Featuring: Bruce Li, Bruce Le, Bruce Liang, Dragon Lee, Angela Mao, David Chiang, Phillip Ko, Sammo Hung | Directed by David Gregory
It is an understatement to say that Bruce Lee left a massive impact through his short filmography. After being denied a lead role by the Shaw Brothers studio, Lee signed onto an upstart company called Golden Harvest whose subsequent films made him into an international star. As his tragic death came on the cusp of kung-fu movies being introduced to the global market, a question lingered about who would replace Lee.
Director David Gregory has crafted a comprehensive exploration of what followed Lee’s passing; a sub-genre named Bruceploitation which focused on casting Bruce Lee lookalikes to star in imitation martial arts films. The resulting cash-in features were made to exploit the deceased star’s international popularity during a time when intellectual property laws were less strict, with even...

At the last Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift made history by taking home a fourth Album of the Year trophy. In doing so, she became the recording artist with the most wins in the category ever, breaking her tie with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon. Such an impressive feat is unlikely to be repeated anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other records that could be broken in the general field in the foreseeable future.

Drake Bell was as much of an icon to 2000s kids as John Lennon was to the children of the 1960s. During an interview, the Drake & Josh star explained why he had a tattoo inspired by one of John’s most famous quotations. The quotation appeared in one of the former Beatle’s most enduring songs.

The Five Elders have entered the main battle currently ongoing on the Egghead Island in One Piece. As they entered the fight, all of them started showing a glimpse of their powers and it was truly terrifying. Their tremendous powers have not only shocked the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies but also the Navy.
The Five Elders
The main twist in the story is that they not only possess rare and powerful Devil Fruit abilities but also have a bunch of other strengths that have never been seen before in the world of One Piece. And now it has become Luffy’s responsibility to not only defeat the Five Elders, but also make an escape from Egghead Island.
However, it will surely not be easy. In addition to all this, the spoilers for the upcoming chapter 1111 have indicated that Luffy might not be enough to fight all the Five Elders by himself.

MGM Resorts, a renowned hospitality and entertainment company, has categorically denied recent claims that suggest pop singer Bruno Mars owes it $50 million in gambling debt.
“We’re proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the world’s most thrilling and dynamic performers. From his shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM to the new Pinky Ring lounge at Bellagio, Bruno’s brand of entertainment attracts visitors from around the globe,” the company said in a statement. “MGM and Bruno’s partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM.”
The controversy arose last week when an anonymous source told NewsNation that Mars, 38, owed millions to the MGM hospitality empire. The insider claimed that MGM essentially had ownership over the artist.

But would he ever go on The Bachelor? Irwin recently had an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle, and the subject of him appearing on the reality television dating competition came up.
Robert Irwin Dances Around The Topic
The 20-year-old Australian personality, alongside Julia Morris, his I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here Australia co-host, danced around the idea of him joining The Bachelor, during their interview.
Irwin initially laughed when the question was asked, but Morris notes that if he was The Bachelor, then she’d go on as a bachelorette contestant, and noted it would be like a “weird old creepy nightmare.” Irwin replied, “Yeah … right”, while laughing, and he added, “That sounds perfect.”

Bruno Mars recently entered the ninth year of his residency at Park MGM in Las Vegas, which he extended with 12 shows taking place throughout 2024.
But if you believe a report from News Nation, part of the reason Mars’ residency has lasted for so long is because he’s accrued a sizable gambling debt at the casino. “He owes millions to the MGM [from gambling],” an unnamed source told News Nation. “[MGM] basically own him.”

The source estimated that Mars owes as much as $50 millions to MGM. He reportedly takes in $90 million annually as part of his deal with the casino, but after taxes he’s just barely covering the money owed.

Mick Mars scored a victory in his ongoing legal battle with Mötley Crüe Tuesday when a Los Angeles judge agreed that the rock veterans had unjustly “refused” to cough up the dirt on its wide-ranging business dealings as it simultaneously sought to oust its founding guitarist early last year.

"Raiders of the Lost Ark" starts with Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones venturing into a booby-trapped tomb, defying death at every turn and escaping with the golden idol. Throughout the 1981 adventure epic, Indy finds himself in similarly precarious situations, managing to narrowly escape with his life in each instance. Frankly, filming "Raiders" itself sounds about as perilous.
There's a reason director Steven Spielberg was amazed Ford and his stunt team survived the shoot. He and his crew took several risks when it came to filming the action that could have easily resulted in tragedy, like making Ford run in front of a real 300-pound boulder for his dramatic tomb escape. The star even got his right leg trapped under a plane during the flying-wing fight scene. But Spielberg did have his limits. Ford was prohibited from doing the stunts that were more likely to lead to actual death. Those were reserved for the stunt team,...

There’s a reason the word honors is in the title. To help celebrate the lifetime contributions of artists in music, dance, theater, opera, movies and TV, the Kennedy Center Honors routinely pay tribute to its recipients by rewarding them with memorable performances.
Scores of artists have been feted since the Honors got their start in 1978, but there are certain tributes that remain sketched in our hearts forever. In anticipation of the 46th annual event honoring Billy Crystal, Renée Fleming, Barry Gibb, Queen Latifah, and Dionne Warwick on Dec. 27, we look back at some of the show’s most unforgettable performances — starting with Lenny Bernstein’s opening speech from the very first Kennedy Center Honors, of course.

The social media post in Hebrew also said the company stands “with the residents of Israel, Idf fighters and the security forces in these difficult times.”

In southern Israel, hundreds of music festival attendees fled for their lives after members of the militant group opened fire, according to the Jerusalem Post.
“We were alerted by a ‘red siren’ [rocket warning],” one attendee told the Israel media outlet Walla. “Chaos ensued, especially with vehicles trying to exit. Then the gunshots started, and we began to run. We’re still hiding and awaiting rescue.”
One video on X posted by the user @jengelmayer shows attendees frantically trying to escape the festival.

The singer was set to return to the venue Saturday night before Hamas staged a surprise assault on Israel, which killed at least 40 people and injured nearly 800, Israel’s emergency service said (via CNN).

August has featured an American giallo in Eyes of Laura Mars, a Spanish ghost story in The Others, and a Jewish horror comedy in Shiva Baby. Now it’s time to head back to literal summer camp with director Michael A. Simpson‘s very silly horror comedy: Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers (1988).
In this sequel to the notorious original, Angela (Pamela Springsteen) is all grown up and working as a camp counselor. She’s transitioned and is seemingly very comfortable with herself, but she can’t shake Aunt Martha’s pesky pious moral code. This sends her into a murderous rage whenever the other counselors – and even some of the campers – break her rules.
What follows is all manner of silly/horrible deaths, albeit with less of the great practical effects of the Og film. Still, it’s fun to watch Angela take out an entire camp...

As the legal feud between Mötley Crüe and Mick Mars continues, the guitarist has opened up about the full extent of the disconnect between himself and his former bandmates.
Mars has been outspoken regarding his unceremonious exit from the band, blaming Nikki Sixx and company for forcing him out and cutting his profit share in the process. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mars said that his bandmates didn’t so much as speak to him throughout 2022 — including the entirety of the band’s stadium tour with Def Leppard — leading up to his retirement from touring back in October.
“Nobody spoke to me in 2022,” Mars said. “A lot of the time felt like I was just playing by myself. You know how you can be in a crowd of people and still feel alone? That’s how I felt that whole tour. I felt used, sad, and inferior. When we...

In early May, we travelled to Nashville to spend a couple of days with Mick Mars and hear about his bitter departure from Mötley Crüe. Mars stepped away from the touring unit in late 2022 after 41 years in the group he co-founded. He’d been suffering from the debilitating bone disease ankylosing spondylitis for decades, and life on the road simply became too painful to endure. In his telling, they used this as an excuse to violate legal agreements and deny him his share of band proceeds. The matter is currently...

Mick Mars is fed up over his legal battle with Mötley Crüe, but the founding member of the band is willing to do whatever it takes to sustain his legacy.
Since the lead guitarist retired from touring with the heavy metal group last October due to his worsening health, he believes his former bandmates — Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, and Tommy Lee — have been trying to axe his legacy.
In April 2023, Mars, 72, filed a lawsuit against his ex-bandmates for attempting to remove him from the group last year, an exit he claims was involuntary.

Bruno Mars is undeniably smooth. The R&b crooner is smooth-dressing, smooth-talking, with smooth rhythms in his back pocket he’s known to pour over again and again until he gets them just so. But on his never-ending quest to mix the perfect throwback jam, Mars took a detour to pour over something special this summer — an exclusive rum bar on the Kohala Coast in Hawaii.

Former Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars, who recently turned 72, believes he’s “probably just going to live another seven or eight years.” That’s just one of the topics the veteran rocker opened up about in a wide-ranging new interview with Rolling Stone, also touching on his legal battle with the Crüe, his upcoming solo album, and more.
Mars recently sold his publishing rights, securing his financial freedom for the rest of his life. In revealing that news, he also put a cap on his lifespan. “I sold my publishing,” he said. “The deal was just finalized. Now I can relax and don’t have to worry about anything, since, like I said, I’m probably just going to live another seven or eight years.”

Mick Mars Has Spent a great deal of time thinking about his own death, which will happen, he estimates, in about eight years, tops. There won’t be a funeral or memorial service of any kind. Bruno Mars is at ease behind a bar - his bar. He's armed with a bottle of premixed shooters, his SelvaRey Rum the star ingredient, while stationed across from an array of fans and press, many who are recording the enviable encounter. Mars makes small talk as he hands out lowball glasses of the shots to the excited first patrons of his SelvaRey Rum pop-up bar at the luxury Fairmont Orchid resort on the Big Island, Hawaii. "Is this your first time in Hawaii?" he posits to one attendee, before making a quip that his on-theme Hawaiian shirt was picked up at the airport.
The shooters go down easy and smooth - thanks, of course, to the award-winning SelvaRey, which launched in 2014 but Mars bought into later. SelvaRey currently has four offerings: white rum, chocolate rum, a coconut rum, and their Owner's Reserve, crafted...

Bone Tomahawk (2015)
Director S. Craig Zahler made his feature debut with this excellent blend of the horror and Western genres, which pits a group of men – played by Kurt Russell, Richard Jenkins, Matthew Fox, and Patrick Wilson – against a group of cave-dwelling cannibals who have taken the wife of Wilson’s character captive. With a running time of 132 minutes, Bone Tomahawk takes its time showing the men’s journey to the tribe’s cave… but when the violence breaks out, it’s worth the wait. If you can stomach the gore.

The CW can never hold Kitty! How’s that for a deep cut? Don’t worry, Powerpuff Girl fans. I’ve got your back. Some unfortunate news is coming out of Townsville today. The CW is no longer developing several live-action series, including The Powerpuff Girls, the Archie series Jake Chang, the Arrowverse show Justice U, and a female-led Zorro. The same fate goes for all series left over from former CW president Mark Pedowitz’s tenure.
“We’ve already given those back to the studios,” Brad Schwartz, The CW’s President of Entertainment, explained to TVLine after an Upfront presentation, adding, “so they’re free to develop those and sell them anywhere.”

Ken Marino credits his pal Adam Scott for making the unlikely and unexpected “Party Down” revival a reality. “Adam helped guide this and make this happen in a real way,” he tells Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast. “I think everybody in that cast recognized how special it was, and to just kind of go back and to get to do some more, to be with these people again, creatively, it’s a real gift.”
The first two seasons of “Party Down” aired on Starz in 2009 and 2010; the revival takes place a decade after the show’s last episode and features the returns of Marino as Ron, the slightly clueless catering manager who now owns the business — well, running it out of his van — and Scott as Henry, the sardonic failed actor who’s now a teacher and working on the side with Party Down to help pay for his alimony.
