- Named after ex-Rams QB Roman Gabriel.
- Primarily a backup, he helped the Patriots to win Super Bowl XXXVI, Super Bowl XXXVIII, and Super Bowl XXXIX. He played for the Rams when they were in Los Angeles and then St. Louis from 1991-1998. Then he played for the New York Jets from 1999-1900 before signing with New England in 2001 up to 2004.
