- David was not drafted out of Western Carolina in 1995 and spent time working in a landscaping business, as an electrician and hauling 75-pound bags in a coffee bean factory until joining the Albany Firebirds of the Arena Football League until he signed with The New York Giants.
- He is most remembered for his performance in a game with New England vs. the Indianapolis Colts on October 21, 2001, when he became only the sixth player in NFL history to rush, catch, and throw for a touchdown in a 38-17 win.
