Switchfoot continues rolling out the deluxe edition of The Beautiful Letdown (Our Version) with a cover of the album’s title-track by the Jonas Brothers. Switchfoot released a re-recorded take on their hit 2003 album earlier this year.
The Jonas Brothers’ take on “The Beautiful Letdown” is very faithful, with Nick and Joe delivering the song in their distinctly angelic vocals. They’re a perfect fit for this track, likely because of their long fandom of Switchfoot and this particular album.

As a December baby, Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. I'm that person who will gladly put up my tree early and start playing festive music before Thanksgiving. While I love all the traditions that come with the holiday, my favorite Christmas album is a bit untraditional. When everyone else is blasting Mariah Carey or Michael Bublé, you can find me scream-singing along to Relient K's 2007 album, Let It Snow, Baby . . . Let It Reindeer.
The Christian rock group first rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like "Be My Escape" and "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been," but if you ask me, their holiday album is one of their best records of all time. It stays true to the band's signature sound by weaving upbeat tempo tracks and heartbreakingly beautiful melodies throughout. Sure, a rock Christmas album isn't exactly conventional, but that's what makes it so memorable.

With Jay-z’s 1 million Samsung downloads declared ineligible for the Billboard 200, expect J Cole’s “Born Sinner” to possibly ascend to the top of the chart next week. A full report isn’t available, due to the July 4th holiday, but Billboard predicts that the album, which debuted at No. 2 last week (and stayed there this week), will move to No. 1 in a slow sales week. “Born Sinner” will likely sell around 60,000 copies to handily beat any of this week’s newcomers, including new albums from Joe, Hillsong and Relient K, as well as topple this week's chart topper: Wale's "The...

On Monday, a group of lucky New York high school kids got their own personal Kris Allen concert in what may go down as the loudest, most rocking school assembly of 2011.
The 2009 "American Idol" champ has teamed up with the Music Empowers Foundation for a unique tour with the Berklee City Music All-Star Ensemble, a group of talented teenagers who have benefited from the Berklee College of Music's program for passionate high school musicians.
"They don't seem like high school kids," Allen said, praising his underage tourmates. "Obviously they're really great and musically talented and I can tell that they spend a lot of time on it. I did not spend as much time as...

Franklin, Tennessee — On December 30, MTV News traveled to Paramore's hometown of Franklin, Tennessee, to conduct the band's first — and only — interview about the departure of founding members Josh and Zac Farro.
It was a far-reaching, in-depth chat, covering topics like faith, friendship and the very future of the band itself. The discussion was frank, open and even a little eye opening, and no topic — including frontwoman Hayley Williams' relationship with Josh Farro and the status of Paramore's deal with Atlantic Records — was off limits. And as proof of that, we're presenting the entire interview to you now, complete with a full transcript. Take a seat, because it's a doozy.

A viral hit song "Bed Intruder", which features heavily auto-tuned Antoine Dodson discussing an attack on his sister Kelly, has reached million views on YouTube and inspired Hayley Williams to hit the studio. The Paramore frontwoman made a "pop punk cover" of the track along with two pals New Found Glory's Jordan Pundik and Relient K's Ethan Luck.
The three recorded it in Nashville at Ethan's house. He wrote on his blog, "With all this hype of Antoine Dodson around the Internet, a couple friends of mine and I thought it would be fun to do our own version of 'Bed Intruder.' Everything was recorded at my home studio while New Found Glory had a day off from tour here in Nashville. Hayley came over this evening to add the finishing touches."

Thanks a rather impassioned speech about an attempted rape in his neighborhood, Huntsville, Alabama resident Antoine Dodson has become an unwitting YouTube sensation over the past month. Footage of Dodson's tirade, which appeared on a local newscast, has racked up millions of views, inspired a slew of remixes (one of which even cracked the Billboard Hot 100) and earned him a rather fervent fanbase ... which, apparently, includes Paramore's Hayley Williams.
On Wednesday night, a "punk-rock cover" of Dodson's speech — featuring Williams on vocals, with assists from New Found Glory's Jordan Pundik and Relient K's Ethan Luck — was uploaded to YouTube.
The song opens with Williams quoting Dodson's notorious "rapist in Lincoln Park" line; she also tackles a verse later in the song.

Though their ballad "The Only Exception" continues to be a top 40 staple, Paramore have already unveiled the video for the next single from their Brand New Eyes album, the snarling "Careful."
And, given how alive the song is, it's fitting that the accompanying video features nothing but live footage of the making of Eyes and subsequent tour. Directed by Brandon Chesbro (who also did the video for "Exception"), the "Careful" clip is packed with scenes shot throughout the Bne cycle, including recording sessions in Rob Cavallo's California studio, their world tour and their just-wrapped spring jaunt with Relient K and Fun. So we get to see the band rocking stages big and small (and massive), along with a healthy amount of backstage high jinks thrown in for good measure.

After Hayley Williams and co. were plagued by illnesses last fall, they're hitting the road again.
By James Montgomery

The last time Paramore hit the road to support their Brand New Eyes album, it was a less-than-smooth trip.
On the first night, frontwoman Hayley Williams lost her voice, forcing the audience to provide her vocals for the remainder of the show. Then, the band postponed a handful of dates while Williams recovered from laryngitis. And when they finally returned to the road, Paramore battled a seemingly endless string of illnesses, leading Williams to tweet that she was "seriously considering buying a gas mask."
Hopefully, things will go a little better this time around. Because on Thursday, the band announced their second batch of dates for a lean, mean spring jaunt, scheduled to kick off on April 26 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The band will crisscross the continental U.

Adam Young started making music in his parents' basement only because he found it hard to sleep at night. He then named his musical project as Owl City. From a guy who has trouble with sleeping, he has become one of the hot newbies in music as he scored his first No. 1 single with "Fireflies".
The track which features Relient K's vocalist Matt Thiessen has jumped from number 7 to the top spot of Billboard Hot 100, selling more than 878,000 downloads to date. Being released in June, it actually debuted only at number 97 on the U.S. singles chart.
Not stopping only by cracking Hot 100, Owl City also makes a name on Billboard Hot 200. His major-label debut album "Ocean Eyes" which was released under Universal Republic peaked at number 8 on the Albums chart by selling over 180,000 copies worldwide. Moreover, it has reigned Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
