- Is a Dutch kickboxer who has won K-1 WORLD GP tournament 3 times.
- After playing football for seven years, he began practicing martial arts in 1983, beginning with Taekwondo, inspired by his grandfather and an uncle. In 1984, he started kickboxing and "Judoka-Kickboxing" under with Mikki Benazzouz. After a year, Aerts fought his first match. He won his first world championship title when he was nineteen.
