- Were an English Mod group for the late 1970s as The Who were for the 1960s.
- Studio albums are: This Is the Modern World (1977), All Mod Cons (1978), Setting Sons (1979), Sound Affects (1980) and The Gift (1982).
- Formed in 1972 at Sheerwater Secondary School in Woking, Surrey, England and their final performance as The Jam being at Brighton Conference Centre, England on the 11th of December 1982. The break-up was solely a Paul Weller decision, at the height of their success.

- The Jam were managed by Paul Weller's father John Weller.
