Jillian Swanson got her first movie role in the ultra low-budget
slasher movie "Killer Campout" at the tender age of 17 years old in her
home state of Rhode Island. Over the next few years she made a name for
herself in the local New England area doing several low budget horror
shorts and feature projects as well as modeling jobs. She still took
the time to seek out deeper more dramatic projects by doing student
films and some experimental short films, and mainstream work like TV
and spec commercials.
However, it was her horror work that caught the eye of cult director
Ulli Lommel who cast her in the controversial horror feature "Killer
Pickton" for Lion's Gate Films the summer of her 21st birthday. From
there she moved to LA and did 3 more back to back features for Ulli
Lommel and Lion's Gate.
Now living on the west coast, Jillian wants to expand into more
dramatic and deeper roles.
She is a licensed hair and make-up artist, and has worked double duty
on some of her early films as both an actress and in the make-up and
hair departments.
Though you could not tell from her resume, she is not a huge fan of
horror films. She prefers instead deeper dramas, dark thrillers and
"depressing movies"
