Svetlana Komogorova - Komata was born on February 16, 1968 in Velingrad, Bulgaria. She graduated English Language School in Plovdiv and Russian Studies at Sofia University. She has translated a huge amount of fantastic and non - fantastic literature and movies.
She is the main translator of "Sofia International Film Fest". She writes poems, she is author-artist of the songs. She is one of the cult figures in Bulgarian fandom. Among friends (and elsewhere) she is known by the nickname "Komata" - version of her last name of unknown origin. She loves rabbits, she sings (well) and play guitar (horribly), and she participates in song's competitions and festivals. She has involved in directing of improvised films. She has published books of poetry: 1999 - "The very best", 2003 - "Asparagus fern".
