This week’s Big Bang Theory finds Sheldon in Penny’s bed, but not for the reason some overly creative ‘Shenny’ fanfic writers have dreamt up over the last decade.

As if it weren't already obvious, my favorite holiday is Halloween. I have so many fond memories of spending weeks - sometimes months - planning the perfect costume, hitting up thrift shops for clothing, handcrafting accessories, and planning the perfect route to get through town and hit every house in the two hours allotted for trick or treating. Even now, I still rush home from work so I can dress up and take my kids out without a care of what anyone thinks of me (my profile picture represents one of my better costumes). Sure, Christmas and Thanksgiving are great, but neither has a section at the department store filled with zombies, monsters and skulls (one usually has to make their own zombie Santas).
While Halloween is a holiday for pretty much everyone, we nerds revel in it. So when Penny invites the boys...

The Comic-Con 2012 schedule has now been released in full, and barring any major updates, is set. The blessing and curse of being an attendee is deciding which panels/autograph sessions/special events to attend, when they conflict. And they always do.
For you to see for yourself, below are what we are calling the “headliner” panels; those panels that are taking place in Hall H, Ballroom 20, Room 6Bdf, and the just-next-door Hilton Indigo Ballroom, the four major venues for panels. There are descriptions of each panel as well as the show(s) and/or movie(s) they are there to discuss.
See how many conflicts you might have, or how you might arrange time and space to somehow attend these plus spend every day in the vendors’ Exhibit Hall and chasing zombies in the nearby The Walking Dead Escape. By the way, if you figure that out, Please let us know.

The Big Bang Theory exec producer Chuck Lorre is fond of saying that the show isn’t Lost — there’s no grand plan in place building to a revelatory event at the end of the season. Be that as it may, the fifth season of Big Bang has been leading directly to tonight’s finale: the wedding of Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch), and Howard’s on-again, off-again, on-again mission to the International Space Station. Both of those events converge tonight, and the question is: Will the wedding happen? Will Howard go through with the mission?...

The Big Bang Theory boys are growing up! Howard's getting married, while both Leonard and Sheldon are in meaningful relationships. Poor Raj? He still has the cute little dog, I hope.
After all this time, on "The Launch Acceleration" it comes out that Howard is scared to go to space. I didn't see that one coming, did you? Don't get me wrong, I don't blame him. I get scared jumping off a high-dive, so shooting into the cosmos is definitely worthy of a little fear.
Howard: Yes! Thank you! Oh! Oh ... I'm not gonna die in space! I'm gonna die the way God intended in my late 50s with a heart full of pastrami. | permalink
The misdirection on the phone was well-played. I'm not sure we've seen Howard get as excited about anything as he did from the cancellation. After initially not wanting her Howie to go, Bernadette was overly...

Move over Matthew McConaughey, there's a new late-night bongo player in town and his name is Sheldon Cooper!
While "The Werewolf Transformation" wasn't the most hysterically funny episode of the season, it did explore some fun areas of our favorite geeks.
I knew when Sheldon attempted to blow one day’s extra hair growth out of his eyes, and more so when he attempted to get a comatose barber to cut his hair, that he was going to have the same reaction to missing his haircut schedule that he has when any of his normal routines are messed up: going absolutely bat-crap crazy.
Good to know I wasn't wrong either. But never let it be said that it’s not fun watching Sheldon slip into his own personal insanity. From the butt-dwelling purple leprechaun comment from Penny to Howard's confession about eating a butterfly, this week's outing featured some very memorable Big Bang Theory quotes.
