- Erika, who is of Puerto-Rican and Mexican descent, is originally from Hartford, Connecticut and started her on-air career as co-host on Latination. However, continued her studies in science while working as a TV Host and completed a Bachelors of Science in Meteorology.
Erika is an accomplished TV Host, Environmental Speaker, Broadcast Meteorologist, Storm Chaser, and was named Sustainability Officer and Meteorologist for the city of El Segundo in Summer 2018. She holds patents and trademarks that lead the way in successful environmental initiatives.
While working as a Broadcast Meteorologist, Erika began storm chasing across Tornado and Dixie Alleys. She eventually changed her graduate major from an M.S. in Operational Meteorology to an M.B.A. in Energy and Sustainability, and began her studies under the guidance of Dr. Jay Beeks, Dr. Ron Biron, and Dr. Mike Mooiman. Years of working during severe weather events inclined her to acquire business and leadership skills to help her better understand the true price of natural disasters, and our behavior towards the planet that is influencing our weather today.
Erika earned her degrees from Northfield Mount Hermon Preparatory School, Mississippi State University, and Franklin Pierce University, and has now begun the application process for a coveted position in the UCLA IoES Environmental Engineering Doctoral program under the guidance of Dr. Alan Barreca. She hopes to commit more of her life to restoring our beautiful planet's health.

She's styled numerous celebrities and models including, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Fat Joe, and Chiaki Kuriyama and has contributed to many national and international advertising campaigns. Her ability to merge her upbeat personality, sharp wit and keen fashion sense eventually led her from behind the scenes to in front of the camera - where she fell in love with hosting.
