“This is what’s wrong with America: women constantly hurting other women.”
While absolutely on point, Yael’s (Monica Barbaro) comment to Rachel (Shiri Appleby) during Monday’s “UnREAL” finale might sound out of place to anyone who still remembers where we started in Season 2. Rachel and Quinn (Queen Constance Zimmer) began the year by snagging matching “money dick power” tattoos and promising to make “Everlasting” ever-relevant by featuring the first black suitor. The focus leaned heavily into race and how race was discussed on TV — as Rachel sacrificed everything to get there — but that worthy cause was all but forgotten by the finale.
Yes, when Darius (T.J. Britt) made the surprising choice to pick the previously disqualified contestant, Ruby (Denée Benton), the moment was meant to convey how Rachel had succeeded in orchestrating a genuine interaction without orchestration: actual reality in reality TV. But really, as the camera...

[Editor’s Note: The below article contains spoilers for the Season 2 finale of “UnREAL.” Read on at your own risk.]
“UnREAL” Season 2 came to an end with a crash — literally. Jeremy (Josh Kelly) attempted to prove his devotion to Rachel by orchestrating a lethal-looking car accident for her would-be accusers (Coleman and Yael). And though the TV report revealing as much said there were “no reports on the conditions of the occupants,” Constance Zimmer is “pretty sure” they’re dead.
The Emmy-nominated star — up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series this year — spoke with IndieWire about the Season 2 finale, sharing her perspective on the season and what she expects is coming in Season 3. Zimmer noted how she was “really upset” over Quinn and Rachel’s ongoing rivalry in Season 2, citing how the show is better when its women are together.
But there’s still an important lesson for viewers to learn from their infighting, just as Zimmer puts a huge importance on Quinn’s struggles in the final two episodes — specifically,...

Jeremy went too far.
On UnREAL Season 2 Episode 5 Jeremy finally cracked and lashed out at Rachel.
It was always a matter of time before something like that happened, but his time on the show really needs to be over, so I hope this sticks. I've struggled to agree with Rachel on just about any of her decisions on UnREAL Season 2, but she didn't go out her way to make Jeremy's life hell.
Sure, she done a whole lot of questionable things on UnREAL Season 1, but she didn't constantly try and make his life hell. Jeremy has been doing everything and anything to piss Rachel off, so he really needs to go now.
There's no going back from this. Coleman is going to ensure that Rachel gets revenge, but Rachel will probably want to draw a line under the whole ordeal. Say what you want about Rachel, but she proved this...

Constance Zimmer’s Quinn may know everything about Everlasting, but she’s about to learn a whole lot more about Forever in UnREAL Season 2. Ioan Gruffudd, who starred in the short-lived but beloved ABC series Forever, has joined Lifetime’s critically-acclaimed drama for its second season. According to Variety, which first broke the casting news, Gruffudd will recur during UnREAL Season 2, playing “a tech billionaire by the name of John Booth, who sets his sights on Quinn King (Zimmer).” Furthermore, Gruffudd’s character is described as “ruggedly handsome, optimistic and curious with the breezy demeanor of a man who owns the world. He’s quick minded, adventurous, has a

Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss is no stranger to playing baby mamas with drama (Season 1 Pete, you know what you did), but an upcoming episode of The Simpsons will find Peggy’s portrayer in an even more awkward situation than waking up, post-partum, to find Don Draper sitting next beside her hospital bed.
“I’ve been pregnant on a lot of stuff and have had babies before on TV and in movies, but this is the first one delivered by Homer,” the actress tells TVLine with a laugh. “It’s an important occasion.”

Ever since his lauded substitution of Jon Stewart as host of The Daily Show, John Oliver has been a much sought-after talent. Up until he got to sit in the big chair, Oliver was mostly known through his comedy routine and recurring on Community during its first two seasons (he’s returning to the NBC comedy for a multi-episode arc in its fifth season). Let’s face it: that doesn’t necessarily put him in the spotlight. But who doesn’t watch The Daily Show? I’ve been watching it since I was 15 and I imagine it has caught the attention of similar youths who can’t be bothered with real news. And it’s that demographic that loves Oliver, which is why he’s lent his voice to The Simpsons.
The two go hand-in-hand: Oliver has been big news over the summer and since, while The Simpsons has created...

There isn’t a Ford’s Theatre in Springfield, is there?
The Daily Show‘s John Oliver, still riding a wave of acclaim from his summer stint subbing for Jon Stewart, has recorded a role for The Simpsons, TVLine has learned exclusively.

He’ll voice the character of Wilkes John Booth (ha!), a previously unseen neighbor of the Simpsons who Marge has never met.
Given his ominous (and oddly-ordered) moniker, might Oliver’s Wilkes be involved in the forthcoming Season 25 fatality?
The episode is slated to air during May sweeps.
