Gamers at the London McM Expo have smashed the Guinness World Record for the Largest Handheld Game Console Party, show organisers have announced.
More than 580 people gathered at Excel on Saturday May 29 with their Nintendo DS handheld consoles to break the previous record of 381 people held by Australia.
Damian Field, Guinness World Records' Official Adjudicator, said: "It is a tremendous achievement for the McM Expo to reach a number of 586, smashing the existing world record of 381. It's rare for a UK mass participation to reach over 500."
The London McM Expo is now the proud holder of two world records, having previously clinched the title of The Largest Gathering of People in Costumes From a Video Game.
Last weekend's London McM Expo was the most successful in the show's history with more than 41,000 visitors attending over the two days.
Special guests this year included Caprica's Ron D Moore and Esai Morales...
