Tom Brady was the guest of honor for the latest Netflix special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady. Many comedians and Brady’s NFL friends were present, and they made fun of various aspects of Brady’s life and career. Kevin Hart hosted the event with high-profile celebrities such as Nikki Glaser, Jeff Ross, Sam Jay, Tony Hinchcliffe, Kim Kardashian, and many others in attendance.

One of the focal points of ridicule at the event was Brady’s previous marriage to Gisele Bündchen. Hart and Glaser made some inappropriate remarks about her rumored affair with her jiu-jitsu coach. It has now been reported that Bündchen is deeply disappointed that her personal life has been made fun of in the most inappropriate ways at the event.

The Nicolas Cage resurgence as of late has interestingly mostly found him in more abstract kinds of films as opposed to his more commercially appealing blockbusters of yesteryear. While many have pined for a National Treasure 3, Cage has been partaking in indie films like Pig, Mandy and Dream Scenario. However, he would also mix in a couple mass audience projects like The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent and Renfield. Deadline has now reported that Cage is set to star in The Carpenter’s Son, a horror tale that’s based on the rarely-told childhood of Jesus Christ.
The official synopsis for The Carpenter’s Son reads,
“The Carpenter’s Son tells the dark story of a family hiding out in Roman Egypt. The son, known only as ‘the Boy’, is driven to doubt by another mysterious child and rebels against his guardian, the Carpenter, revealing inherent powers and a fate beyond his comprehension.

Tom Brady was brutally roasted over his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her new relationship with her jiu jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente.
It all went down during The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which streamed on Netflix live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (May 5).
Keep reading to find out more…
There was a slew of celeb guests at the event, including Kevin Hart, who went in on the topic.
First, Kevin spoke about the rumor that Gisele wanted Tom to retire from the NFL, which he did, before un-retiring to play one final season. Kevin shared, “Gisele gave you an ultimatum. She said you have to retire or you’re done. But when you have a chance to go 8-9 you gotta do it.” The 8-9 reference is 8 wins to 9 losses in his final season, which is not a great record.

Tom Brady was a good, um, sport Sunday night, where he was roasted about all aspects of his life, from his former marriage to Gisele Bündchen to his role in deflategate.
Host Kevin Hart kicked off The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady by noting that the event would be focusing on the “greatest quarterback of all time.” “Wait, Joe Montana’s here?” he quipped. He went on to joke that the teleprompter should have included the qualifier “one of the” greatest quarterbacks ever in reference to Brady. “The greatest is Joe Montana,” he affirmed.
Hart also commented on the demographic makeup of the attendees inside the Kia Forum. “I’ve never seen Inglewood so white,” he quipped of the Los Angeles suburb where the venue is located. “It’s so fucking white in here. It looks like a Bruce Springsteen concert just let out. This used to be the home of the Lakers,...

Prosecutors Play Recording Of Donald Trump And Michael Cohen Discussing Hush Money Payments — Update
Update: Jurors today heard a recording in which Donald Trump and his then-lawyer and “fixer,” Michael Cohen, discuss payments to Karen McDougal, the former Playboy model who claimed to have had an affair with The Apprentice host.
The recording was made by Cohen in September of 2016 — and first reported on by CNN in 2018. In it, Trump and Cohen discussed buying the rights to McDougal’s story.
“I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David,” Cohen said, referring to David Pecker, then-ceo of American Media, the tabloid publisher that bought McDougal’s story for $150,000 with the intention of burying it.
When Cohen turned to the subject of “financing,” Trump asked, “What financing?”
“We’ll have to pay,” Cohen said. It wasn’t clear from the garbled audio at that point whether Trump agreed. Pecker, a prosecution witness last week, said...

There has been a constant battle of human vs AI in art as the technology now seems to be tempting to many artists. Sure, sometimes, AI does marvel bringing out the acute wonders our minds can imagine with prompts. But how can prompts be an art form? Fans now question Millennium Films’ President’ justification as he openly admitted using AI in the new Hellboy film.

Despite their seemingly disparate subject matters, “My Father's House” and “Lost Course”, two independent Chinese documentaries separated by over a decade, have one important thing in common. Their protagonists all easily fall into the category of naïve dreamers. Nigerian pastors in “My Father's House” and grassroots activists in “Lost Course” believe that, despite the Prc turning more authoritarian with each year, they might have an impact on religion or local politics.
“Lost Course”, overwhelming in its scale and longitudinal approach (the film was shot over the course of six years and then post-produced during the next three), has the feel of a sprawling 19th-century novel. The film captures turbulent local politics in the boisterous village of Wukang, and is framed by opening and closing scenes shot from a fishing boat aimlessly wading through a river. At one point, a character likens Wukang in his speech to a ship. Through these images,...

In March, Trump launched a Maga-based Bible that included lyrics to “God Bless the U.S.A.” by Lee Greenwood, the United States Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and other notable American documents. Trump’s Maga Bible was widely mocked by both sides online, including a segment on Saturday Night Live.
In his sermon at the Central Church of North Carolina, evangelical Pastor Loran Livingston shared his thoughts on Trump’s new product. A Livingston video was shared with TikTok and X, where it went viral for his heated words.
“No, no. It’s disgusting! It’s blasphemous! It’s a ploy! Are you kidding me? Some of you are so encouraged by that. Let me tell you something. The gospel is not an American gospel. It is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!”

Titans of the faith-based filmmaking industrial complex they helped to create, Kingdom Story Company founders Andrew and Jon Erwin built their brand on the Christian rock biopics “I Still Believe” and “I Can Only Imagine,” ultra-benign stories of faith, loss, and profit that rely on powerful songwriting to compensate for sermon-like storytelling, and frame their subject’s artistic success as both a testament to their faith and a megaphone for the word of Jesus Christ. Absent the rigor or artistry of secular comps like “Love & Mercy” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter” (but also absent the Wikipedia-driven ghoulishness of more recent examples like “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”), these movies are happy to function as feature-length commercials for the musicians they were made to honor, just as they’re happy to offer halos to the people who inspired them.

Kenneth Branagh has spent much of his career bringing to life the works of British writers William Shakespeare and Agatha Christie. Now he will not get a chance to play a different famed scribe. Branagh will voice star as Charles Dickens in The King of Kings, a faith-based feature inspired by the lives of both Dickens and Jesus Christ.
Uma Thurman will voice star as Catherine Dickens, the wife of the author, while Jojo Rabbit‘s Roman Griffin Davis will voice the couple’s youngest son, Walter.

The Good Doctor Season 7 Episode 7 spoilers point to an episode that could be great but is more likely to be ridiculous. Considering how close we are to the end of the series' run, this is not great news!
ABC hasn't released much info yet, but the spoiler video and description suggest that the episode will center around a man who thinks he is Jesus.
This is one tired TV trope I could do without. Television is full of pseudo-Jesuses who may or may not be the real thing and skeptical people who realize that they've come in contact with the Messiah Himself by the end of the hour.

Michael Jackson‘s “Man in the Mirror” is the rare pop song with a great message — a message Jesus Christ might have liked. In fact, the song seems like a paraphrase of one of the most famous passages from the gospels. Here’s a look at the spiritual dimensions of one of Jackson’s best ballads.
Michael Jackson’s ‘Man in the Mirror’ is like the Sermon on the Mount
Some of Jesus Christ’s most famous teachings are in his Sermon on the Mount. Some of these statements are certainly challenging! “Do not judge, or you too will be judged,” Jesus says in Matthew 7. “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?...

Back in 2000, director Ridley Scott took us back to 180 Ad for Gladiator, which told the story of Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius (played by Russell Crowe), who is favored by Emperor Marcus Aurelius to be his successor because his own son, Commodus, is unfit to rule. Commodus disagrees, so he murders his father, has Maximus arrested, and has Maximus’s wife and son killed. While Commodus establishes himself as the new emperor, Maximus escapes from captivity – only to be captured again, this time by slavers who sell him off to become a gladiator. Soon he’s fighting in front of Commodus in Rome’s Colosseum… and it all builds up to Commodus challenging Maximus to a duel. Gladiator was a major box office success and racked up multiple Academy Award wins, including Best Picture. So there was already talk of a sequel in 2001, but it ended up taking more than...

The iconic screenwriter of Taxi Driver, Paul Schrader, once said, “Every time I thought that I might die, I would get a new idea.” Now, although the 81-year-old auteur, Martin Scorsese is very far from the final event, the legendary director and Leonardo DiCaprio collaborator has quipped once or twice his fear of not having much time left to do all of the things he wants to do. Perhaps that very thought has led to Scorsese picking up his pace on two projects of astounding weight and value – Jesus Christ and Frank Sinatra.

Martin Scorsese is set to turn to his long-gestating Frank Sinatra biopic once he’s finished his Jesus Christ film, it seems. More here.
It took him a long time to make, release and promote Killers Of The Flower Moon, but Martin Scorsese is now planning to get back to a movie set. Two movie sets as it happens, with apparent plans to make his next pair of films back-to-back.
The man has more energy at 81 than I have at, er, my age. Proof? Well, we knew that he was planning to make a film about Jesus Christ, the fourth time he’ll have directed an overtly religious-themed feature. The plan with that is for it to be a much slimmer film than his last two features (The Irishman preceded Killers Of The Flower Moon of course).
But now we learn that he’s resurrected a long-time passion project (another one!

"Killers of the Flower Moon" may have ended with a bittersweet final coda from Martin Scorsese, but the acclaimed octogenarian director clearly still has plenty of future projects on his plate. Variety just broke the news that Scorsese apparently has a Frank Sinatra biopic in the works, and while the filmmaker's reps declined to comment, the outlet claims he has none other than frequent leading man Leonardo DiCaprio in mind to play the lead. The filmmaker's take on the famous crooner's life also reportedly will include a major part for Jennifer Lawrence, who sources say will play Sinatra's second wife, Ava Gardner.
According to the trade outlet, the Sinatra picture isn't exactly a done deal: Variety notes that Sinatra's daughter Tina, who controls the late singer's estate, hasn't given her blessing for the movie yet. Leonardo DiCaprio is attached to play Frank Sinatra in a new biopic from Martin Scorsese.
Variety broke news of the project on Wednesday, while also noting that Jennifer Lawrence is in line to play Sinatra’s second wife, actress Ava Gardner. Michael Jackson‘s brother, Jermaine Jackson of The Jackson 5, made a bold statement about the King of Pop. Jermaine felt his brother’s life would have been saved if he had made one decision. Interestingly, it is a decision Jermaine made himself.

Warning: The following contains major spoilers for Immaculate and The First Omen.
Horror has always served as a frightening mirror to reality. In his 1981 treatise on the genre Danse Macabre, author Stephen King writes, “we make up horrors to help us cope with the real ones”; it seems scary movies have been helping us do that since the earliest days of storytelling. Modern examples include The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) now considered a reaction to the 1973 oil crisis, Dawn of the Dead (1978) which stands as a horrific condemnation of consumerism, and the explosion of the torture porn subgenre in the wake of 9/11. As the United States enters a new phase of fear, two films have converged in an exploration of horrific pregnancy caused by religious abuse. As reproduction becomes more dangerous, Michael Mohan’s Immaculate and Arkasha Stevenson’s The First Omen both follow nuns impregnated against their will and...

Jon Stewart mocked Donald Trump on The Daily Show as the former Potus campaigns and makes a run for the White House amid the hush money criminal trial.
“Our former president and illustrious historian, Donald J. Trump, spoke near one of America’s most hallowed battlefields,” Stewart said on the Comedy Central show. “And if you thought Lincoln consecrated Gettysburg with his soaring rhetoric… Well, buckle up.”
Stewart cut to a Trump rally where the former president incoherently talked about the Battle of Gettysburg, saying, “What an unbelievable, I mean, it was so much and so interesting and so vicious and horrible, and it’s so beautiful in so many different ways. It represented such a big portion of the success of this country. Gettysburg, wow.”
The show’s host joked that Trump’s statement was “plagiarized, almost directly, from my seventh-grade book report.”

There are plenty of reasons Trump wants to reclaim the White House in 2024, but high on the list is the belief that as president, he will be able to sabotage the myriad criminal and civil investigations hanging over his head.
In barely a year, Trump has been indicted in four criminal cases, lost multiple civil lawsuits, and been ordered to pay hundreds of millions in damages to various parties.

After Dennis Quaid accepted CinemaCon’s cinema icon award during the closing night Big Screen Achievement Awards, host Kevin Frazier surprised the veteran actor with a birthday cake as the crowd inside the Colosseum sang “Happy Birthday.”
Quaid turned 70 on Tuesday, and it was a fitting celebration for the star, who was feeling particularly reflective about where he’s at in his life and career at this chapter. “I’m on my sixth decade in this wonderful business,” Quaid said in accepting the honor, which arrives as he has The Long Game in theaters this weekend and the release of Reagan on the horizon. “To tell you the truth, I really do feel like I have more fun. I enjoy it now more than when I was young and hungry — not trying to get anywhere. I do it because I love it and that makes me kind of the luckiest guy on Earth,...

Like so many daughters throughout history, especially the ones that still live at home, Malu Rocha (Yara de Novaes) exists in a state of constant rebellion against her mother. A volatile, weed-loving, Rio-born actress who dreams of turning the family house into a community theater for the kids who live in the local favela, Malu relishes every opportunity to cause a scene in her own living room, even — or especially — if that opportunity comes at the expense of good taste.
When she comes home one day to find her mom, Lili (Juliana Carneiro da Cunha), sharing a cup of tea with a mild-mannered priest, Malu begins lecturing the guest about how Jesus Christ was a communist who “started a religion full of pedophiles.” Lili tries to excuse this behavior by insisting that her daughter is a drug addict, but that isn’t enough to stop the priest from making a hasty exit stage right.

Certainly, OutDaughtered fans are excited to see the big buzz in the Busby world. While Adam and Danielle Busby’s daughter Blayke Busby rang in her teenage years last week, now the quints are celebrating a spectacular ninth birthday!
Adam And Danielle Busby’s World Is Spinning
Admittedly, the Busbys are struggling with finding enough time to take care of all the logistics of raising six girls. However, somehow this family works their magic and makes each new event amazing. Undoubtedly, the OutDaughtered Busby family has been spinning with all the celebrations over the past few weeks. For instance, they took their everyday busy life and added Easter, Blayke’s birthday, and now the quintuplets’ birthday bash on top. All in all, Easter came with beautiful pictures and sweet family moments. Furthermore, the family enjoyed their annual crawfish boil and rejoiced over the empty tomb of their Savior, Jesus Christ.

This article contains spoilers for the Curb Your Enthusiasm series finale.
As many fans predicted, the Curb Your Enthusiasm series finale concluded just like the much-maligned Seinfeld finale, with Larry David sent to jail for (petty) crimes against humanity. Granted, it wasn’t exactly like David-penned Seinfeld finale as, on Curb, Jerry Seinfeld’s chance encounter with a Joe Pesci lookalike leads to a jury nullification and mistrial, setting our cranky hero free once again.
Before that last minute Deus Ex Jerry, however, Curb Your Enthusiasm gets to indulge in the best part of the Seinfeld ending of yore by having many, many guest stars and other faces from the show’s past make appearances. From the prosecutor to the judge to all the witnesses that attest to Larry’s poor character, the Curb finale has many guest star roles to fill. Here’s how it fills them.

Canneseries entry “Operation Sabre” goes back in time to Serbia’s very own Kennedy moment: the day when its first democratically elected Pm, Zoran Đinđić, was murdered.
“Everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when they heard about the assassination. This moment didn’t just change our politics. It changed our lives,” says producer Snezana van Houwelingen.
“He was in power for more than two years and during that time, many people actually moved back from abroad. It was our last moment of hope. Now, we are just going in circles and there is no progress. We have to do something for the next generation, the one that doesn’t even remember him anymore.”
Đinđić, who served as Pm from 2001, was killed in 2003 – one year after the beginning of the trial against former president Slobodan Milošević.
“He played such an important role in this country’s crucial moments.

Fifteen years after “Inglourious Basterds,” Daniel Brühl is back on the Croisette, this time on the pink carpet at Canneseries, for the world premiere of “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld,” a prestige Disney+ miniseries which offered him one of his biggest acting challenges to date. To play Lagerfeld, Brühl not only perfected his French and learned to speak and walk with small heels like the late fashion icon, he also pulled from his own life experience as a perpetual foreigner, being both German and Spanish. Produced by Gaumont (“Lupin”), the six-part series chronicles the rise of Karl Lagerfeld through the world of 1970s Parisian high fashion. The lushly lensed series opens in 1972, as 38-year-old Karl Lagerfeld aspires to become the most famous French fashion designer, at a time when Yves Saint Laurent reigned supreme. Powered by a pop aesthetic, the series sheds light on the tumultuous love affair between Lagerfeld and Jacques de Bascher.

The Beatles were often seen as some of classic rock’s greatest rebels — but what were they rebelling against? Different fans will give different answers, but one of the other rock stars from the 1960s has his own feelings on the matter. He said that Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen had the same mindset as the Fab Four.
Donovan said The Beatles and other rock stars felt ‘a mass generational angst’
Donovan is a psychedelic folk singer who is known for hits such as “Mellow Yellow,” “There Is a Mountain,” and “Hurdy Gurdy Man.” He also crossed paths with The Beatles many times. Donovan famously influenced much of the music of The White Album.
During a 2018 interview with Goldmine, Donovan discussed the social issues that cast a shadow over the 1960s counterculture. “The rivers were being poisoned as was the air,” he said. “Two world wars and a depression were produced.

This article contains major spoilers for "The First Omen."Hello folks! Welcome back to Nunsploitation 2024: Battle of the Babies.
When last we left the saga of Damien Thorn, it was 1981, and Damien was played by the devilishly handsome Sam Neill in "The Final Conflict." In that film, the Antichrist nearly fulfilled his evil purpose in halting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, but was foiled by his one-time lover, journalist Kate Reynolds (Lisa Harrow), who through the grace of God and her own strength was able to fatally stab Damien with the magical dagger of Megiddo, the weapon that poor Robert Thorn (Gregory Peck) failed to use against his adopted son Damien (Harvey Spencer Stephens) when he was a child in 1976.
If a 33-year-old Damien in 1981 seems implausible given that the first film sees Damien as merely five years of age and the 1978 sequel, "Damien: Omen II" follows the...

Former President Donald Trump is facing backlash on social media for spending Easter Sunday attacking his rivals in 71 posts on Truth Social.
On March 31, Trump criticized his political enemies and shared press coverage about him on Truth Social.
His Truth Social feed on Sunday included derogatory material regarding Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wisconsin), who is scheduled to retire from the House in April.
In another post, he shared an article criticizing President Joe Biden‘s economic policies and also shared polls suggesting that he will win the 2024 presidential election.
In another, he attacked the two main figures involved in his civil fraud trial.
“Judge [Arthur] Engoron and [New York Attorney General] Letitia James should be forced to explain why he ruled that Mar-a-Lago was worth $18,000,000 when, in fact, it is worth from 50 to 100 times that amount,” the former president wrote in a post. “How did the Attorney General of the State of New York force this...

In the early 2000s, Disney had a knack for making sequels to their beloved animated classics, which were often a notable step down from the original, in both the writing and animation department. But we can look past these subpar sequels, as they were meant for DVD/Video release, thus it didn’t leave a lasting impact on the legacy of the classics.
However, Disney’s trend of remaking acclaimed classics is a whole new low, as not only are they often a step down in quality, but also close the gates for the new generation to experience the originals. Moreover, several things that made the animated releases special often don’t translate well into live-action, with The Lion King being the most infamous example. And fans are once again riled up against Disney’s upcoming Mufasa flick.

Mofac Animation Inc., South Korea’s most decorated visual effects studio, proudly announces its first-ever full-length animated movie: The King of Kings, an animated family film inspired by a little-known short story by Charles Dickens depicting the life and times of Jesus Christ.

The ever-growing, A-list cast will be announced at a future date. Mofac Animation is currently seeking potential distributors.
In the film, Charles Dickens finds trouble balancing his writing and performing with the parenting of his children – particularly his youngest son, Walter. “Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism’s Unholy War on Democracy” is the scariest film I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a documentary that explores the rise of Christian Nationalism, and much of what it shows you, about the mutation of the Christian Right into a movement that’s openly abandoned any loyalty to democracy, has been covered in the mass media in recent years. But the film’s directors, Stephen Ujlaki and Chris Jones, go deep into the roots of this movement, and what’s new and disquieting is how the current presidential race changes everything. Viewed against the looming possibility of Donald Trump’s re-election (a scenario that most liberals I know believe is unlikely; I think they may be seriously deluded), the rise of Christian Nationalism takes on a whole new meaning.

This weekend’s Saturday Night Live opened the show with a sketch of Donald Trump (played by James Austin Johnson) selling Bibles.
The joke is based on Trump’s “God Bless The USA” Bible endorsement, which he posted about on Truth Social last week. He also endorsed this Bible in the biography on his Instagram page.
The $60 Bibles include the U.S. Constitution, the Pledge of Allegiance and the words of the Miranda Rights.
Johnson’s Trump proclaimed, “That’s right, it’s Easter. The time of year when I compare myself to Jesus Christ. That’s just the thing I do now, and people seem to be okay with it. We've seen standalone movies for both Godzilla and Kong throughout this MonsterVerse, we've experienced their ground-shaking crossover battle for bragging rights a few years back in "Godzilla vs. Kong," and we're now ready to sink our teeth into their epic team-up event in "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" ... but that doesn't mean we're done pitting these larger-than-life Titans against each other purely for our amusement just yet. Half the fun of these spectacles comes from going full-bore and wholly committing to either #TeamGodzilla or #TeamKong, regardless if the entire point of these last two movies has been all about these monsters setting aside their differences and joining forces for the greater good.

The White House has called out former President Donald Trump for sharing a video featuring a grim image of President Joe Biden.
Trump posted the video while he was returning from the wake of slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller who was killed this week. The video shows the back of a pickup truck with an image of Biden with his hands and feet tied. The truck also includes several pro-Trump images, including a sticker that says “Trump 2024” and a custom license plate of “TRUMP4US.” Other cars with pro-Trump imagery were also seen driving down the highway.
The Biden campaign condemned Trump for suggesting harm and violence against the current president. A spokesperson for Biden’s campaign, Michael Tyler, said, “Trump is regularly inciting political violence, and it’s time people take him seriously—just ask the Capitol Police officers who were attacked for protecting our democracy on Jan.
