After nine eventful series, ITV's Dancing on Ice finally hangs up its skates this Sunday (March 9).
Since its launch on January 14, 2006, the show has given us some truly memorable comedic moments - with Todd Carty's stumble off the rink in series four certainly springing to mind.
As ITV prepares to broadcast the last televised Bolero performance from Olympian duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and crown its final pair of winners, we present ten facts about Dancing on Ice in celebration of all things icy and sparkly.
1. Since 2006, Torvill and Dean have taught an incredible 111 different celebrities, comprising a total of 700 choreographed routines and a staggering 260 days on the ice. This all amounts to a grand total of 3,432 hours spent coaching. Somebody give them another medal!
2. Alongside all this training and coaching, the Olympic champions have also performed 90 different routines themselves for the show over the nine years.

"Oh, wouldn't it be lovely to replicate my perfect score? Whether I will or not, I don't know. I've been away in Bristol for quite a while so I haven't seen anyone compete or skate, so I don't know what level I'm at.

Kerry Katona is impressing no one on Dancing On Ice and two people who seem irritated by her performance so far are former winners of the ITV show, Hayley Tamaddon and Gaynor Faye.
Both women skated with Kerry’s partner Daniel Whiston during their series’ and speaking on This Morning, the loyal actresses hinted that the mum of four isn’t giving the show her all.
Hayley, who skated with Dan on last year’s 2010 series told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford:
I think she started off with more confidence than she’s got now and I think at the minute she’s unhappy. I don’t think she wants to be there now, which is a shame.
Gaynor, who was crowned champion with Whiston back in 2006 added:
She just needs to trust him more. I know she adores him but he’s such a fabulous partner and she needs to enjoy it more.

In today’s Sun newspaper, the acid tongued judge added:
She’s been doing this since October and that was her best? I think she may have reached the limit of her ability. She’s still petrified of the ice while everyone else has got over that. It’s torture watching her.

Kerry Katona tonight admitted that she deserved to be in the skate off last week after her disastrous routine and confessed that she isn’t enjoying the show anymore. The reality TV star also told her partner Daniel Whiston that she was considering walking out of rehearsals and never coming back…..we wish she would!
On the live show this evening Kerry and Dan were dressed head to toe in pink and the mum of four looked much classier than we are used to. However she still can’t skate. She’s not too bad if she is going straight or holding on to her man, but on her own she is nervous and attempts each step with trepidation. We’re hoping Kerry and Dave will be in the skate off tonight.

Jeff Brazier on ITV's Dancing On Ice
Jeff Brazier has admitted that he has a real man love for Dancing on Ice professional Daniel Whiston.
The TV presenter, who is paired with Canadian champion Isabelle Gauthier on the ITV show, has admitted that he is slightly envious of Kerry Katona because she got the ‘best partner’ in Dan.
Jeff told The Daily Star:
“Kerry has got the best partner. Dan is amazing and so supportive with her. I sometimes wish he was my partner. I’d quite happily lift Dan around
“We could be the first same-sex couple on Dancing On Ice.”
On the new ‘Ultimate Skills Test’ twist which starts this week, Jeff revealed that he is loving learning the new skills and steps but admitted that wobbly skater Kerry may struggle with the independent nature of the new elements.
“It’s a great twist this week,” says Jeff.

Former Dancing On Ice winner Hayley Tamaddon has insisted that there is no romance between her old pal Daniel Whiston and his current ice skating partner Kerry Katona.
Kerry recently confessed that Dan had “restored her faith in men” and was pictured giving the professional skater a kiss on the lips. However Tamaddon – who went to school with Dan when she was younger -says that there is nothing more than friendship between the pair.

Dan’s the type of guy you’d love to marry.
“Dan gets on with everyone. He’s the best partner for Kerry because he’s really patient and gives her a lot of support.”
“I’ve got to know Kerry and I genuinely don’t think she’s after Dan.

When she first started rehearsals, Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill gave Kerry Katona a c-, saying that she didn’t have many basic skating skills.
However things improved when she was teamed with the gorgeous Daniel Whiston, the show’s most popular professional skater. Kerry’s biggest problem could be her nerves during the competition and she admitted at the dress rehearsals this week:
‘I don’t know if i can take the pressure!’
Tonight the pair skated to ‘make You fell My Love’ by Adele. It was an emotional routine and one that played to Kerry’s strenths. She spent a lot of it holding onto Dan and didn’t skate much on a solo basis, however she did look quite graceful and seemed to maintain her composure throughout.

Dancing On Ice returns to our screens on the 9th of January, but the new series will have a slight twist at the beginning.
This year, the skaters will face a number of twists and turns – and not just in their routines. Only 12 places will be available on Dancing on Ice 2011 but we start with 16 star skaters. This means two skaters will leave in each of the first and second shows, before the competition has even got going – and it will be the public who decides who gets to stay! The new look format means the skaters have everything to gain from the moment they set foot on the ice and must give their very best in performance otherwise they may find themselves going home early.
There will also be 11 new pro-skaters joining the sixth series with show favourites; Matt Evers, Daniel Whiston, Frankie Poultney, Maria Filippov and Brianne Delcourt.
