Irene Higginbotham(1918-1988)

Composer and pianist, educated at the New York Business School (she
worked as a stenographer) and a music student of Kemper Harold and
Frederic Hall. She was a concert pianist at fifteen and joined ASCAP in
1944. Her chief musical collaborators included Dan Fisher, and her
popular-song compositions included "Good Morning, Heartache", "That Did
It Marie", "Are You Livin' Old Man?", "No Good Man", "It's Mad Mad
Mad", "A Knock on the Door", "This Will Make You Laugh", "No Sale",
"Blue Violets", "Hello Suzanne", and "Harlem Stomp".
