Actress Sydney Sweeney has had an eventful year so far as she recently saw her production debut in the horror film Immaculate. While the actress starred in the lead role, she also produced the film through her Fifty Fifty Films production banner. The actress reportedly made sure that the film got made as she had first come across it years ago.
The film was released earlier this week to mixed reviews with many appreciating Sweeney’s intense performance. The film has reportedly earned $5 million in its opening weekend, making the highest opening for the distribution company Neon. The film was also made on a budget of $9 million.

The thought of winning a lottery jackpot on sites like Lottoland Lottery and Casino has crossed the minds of a lot of people. You see, part of what makes the lottery such a thrilling event is the uncertainty of the outcome and the inexplicable joy of being the lucky winner, which makes it a perfect plot for film producers.
Some of the movies about winning the lottery are based on true events, while others are based on mere fiction. However, what stands out in these movies is how producers exaggerate the events to make them more entertaining. This write-up reviews four lottery movies that’ll quench your thirst for thrilling cinematic experience.

The late 90s and early 2000s were the golden era of Cartoon Network, with wildly successful shows like Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, and Teen Titans airing at the time. But among these shows, there was one that stood out for being different and daring: Courage the Cowardly Dog. The show centered around Courage, a fearful pink pup with a name that felt like a cruel joke. Courage lived with his owners, Muriel and Eustace, in a farmhouse in Nowhere, Kansas. Each episode followed a villain-of-the-week format, where Courage had to face off against scary monsters, aliens, and other paranormal...

Los Angeles, Jan 21 (Ians) Legendary actor Anthony Hopkins said that he is writing a biography and claimed that writing a biography is a weird process.
“I’m writing a biography. It’s a weird process. I realised how blessed I’m blessed with one thing. Maybe it’s my actor’s brain. I do have quite a memory. I remember days of months in the years,” ‘People’ reported while quoting the actor.
While he spends time looking back on his own life, his wife of 20 years, Stella, 67, is doing the same.
As per ‘People’, she’s currently at work on a documentary about the two-time Oscar winner. Hopkins says Stella has “carte blanche to (cover) everything”, though he doesn’t know how far along her project is.

Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about the Virgin River Christmas special
Netflix’s Virgin River closed out its fifth season with a two-episode Christmas special set during the holidays, more than three months after the “Labor Day” Season 5 Part 1 finale. As suggested by the aptly titled Episode 512, “Father Christmas,” the special’s main storyline follows the bombshell cliffhanger in the Part 1 finale, that Mel’s biological father is likely a man from Virgin River.
With only a couple of clues to his identity in the man’s love letters to Mel and Joey’s mom Sarah to go off of, Mel and Jack launched a search that eventually led them to Everett Reid, who lives in a cabin outside of Virgin River. At first, he wanted nothing to do with Mel but by the end of the two-hour special, in a true holiday spirit, he came around and,...

A man convicted in the notorious 1969 kidnapping and murder of Muriel McKay, the wife of Rupert Murdoch deputy Alick McKay, has offered to reveal the location of the victim’s body in exchange for a lifting of a deportation order that bars him from entering the UK.
According to a Sky News report, Nizamodeen Hosein, now 75 and living in his native Trinidad, has offered to help McKay’s daughter Dianne, 82, locate her mother’s body, believed to be buried at the Hertfordshire farm formerly owned by Hosein and his brother Arthur Hosein. Both men were convicted of the crime in 1970 and sentenced to life in prison, where Arthur Hosein died in 2009.
Nizamodeen Hosein was deported to Trinidad after serving 20 years in prison. Muriel McKay’s body has never been located. After decades of silence, Hosein, according to Sky, now claims she collapsed and died of a heart attack while being held at the farm.

It's hard to believe that Good Omens has been on the air since 2019, yet only two seasons have aired.
The buzzy Prime Video comedy most recently aired in July 2023, and now, there are questions about a potential Good Omens Season 3.
Below, we've rounded up everything there is to know.
Good Omens Season 3 Renewal Status
Despite last airing several months ago, Prime Video has yet to confirm whether there will be more adventures for Aziraphale and Crowley.
In October 2023, Deadline hinted that a renewal would soon be made official.
The outlet said that options on the cast, led by Michael Sheen and David Tennant, had been picked up.
That typically means that a show is in active negotiations about a pickup.

The series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s book, Good Omens, became a big hit when the show hit Prime Video. This summer saw the release of Good Omens 2, the follow-up to the successful first run. Michael Sheen has become the face of the character of Aziraphale, but Gaiman has recently revealed in a Tumblr post that he originally had another actor in mind as the angel. A fan asked him if anyone else came close to playing the roles of the duo. In a response, it was unveiled that Sheen was actually intended for Crowley, and Gaiman wanted Hugh Grant to embody Aziraphale.
ComingSoon.net reports that Gaiman explained, “I remember spending a lot of time pondering who Aziraphale could be back when Crowley was going to be Michael, and I think Hugh Grant was a leading contender in my head, but then somewhere in the middle of writing episode...

An idyllic setting, charming cast, and sweet love story are often the ingredients needed for a good comfort watch. The desire to escape everyday pressures since the pandemic has seen viewers like myself going back to old favorites such as Gilmore Girls or finding something newer like Virgin River, currently streaming its fifth season on Netflix.
With each season reaching Netflix’s top ten, Virgin River has capitalized on fan’s love of Robyn Carr’s 21-book-long series of the same name and our increasing impulse to find new shows that don’t require too much of our attention. Virgin River is precisely that as it lacks terror-inducing Jaws music and instead provides Hallmark-esque vibes with the added dash of danger from the illegal drug trade surrounding the town.

Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about Episodes 509 (Angel’s Peak) and 510 (Labor Day) of Netflix’s series Virgin River.
Part 1 of Virgin River‘s fifth season came to a close with eventful last two episodes. In typical Virgin River fashion, there were bombshell revelations — Lizzie is pregnant, baddie Calvin is the father of Charmaine’s twins, and the big one is the cliffhanger that set up the upcoming Christmas-themed two-episode Part 2 — Mel’s biological father is likely a man from Virgin River, identity unknown (for now).
That last shocker does stretch the limits of believability, even for a soapy romantic drama, as Mel originally landed in Virgin River, a place she said she had never heard of, after answering an ad.
In other developments, Jack takes Mel on a hike to Angel’s Peak to have a heart-to-heart after she had pulled away following her miscarriage. They get lost and rained on,...

Never underestimate the power of sisterhood.
One of the highlights of Virgin River Season 5 Episode 8 and the season in general is that there is such a strong and beautiful display of female friendship, and it's spread across the board.
We see it often with the Sewing Circle, which was also featured lovingly with helping and supporting Mel, but more specifically, we got a circle specifically for Mel with Brie and Ava.
From the moment they introduced Ava, it felt like the series was reaching to give Mel a girlfriend different from everyone else at Virgin River who can just be hers.
And Mel and Brie couldn't be closer to each other, which is lovely because they've put in the work to build a relationship between them that's outside of Jack.
Mel Monroe has always been this character who gives and serves the people around her but is often so consumed...

The drama never stops on Virgin River. The Netflix series is juicier than ever in the just-released season 5, with surprising character exits, big breakups, and shocking pregnancy reveals. Everyone – from Preacher to Brie to Muriel to Doc – has a lot going on in these 10 episodes. But it’s our girl Mel Monroe that we’re most concerned with.
When we last saw her in season 4, Virgin River’s resident nurse and midwife was pregnant and looking forward to having a baby with Jack. It was a happy turn of events for Mel, who’d previously experienced a devastating stillbirth. So, how did her pregnancy journey play out in Virgin River Season 5?

Spoiler Alert: The story includes details about Episodes 505 and 506 of Netflix’s Virgin River.
Virgin River‘s seasons are typically built around three tentpoles, the season premiere, the finale and a big event episode in the middle that propels the storytelling with plenty of aftermath to deal with in the remaining episodes. Big town events in the mid-run episodes have included the Moonlight Mingle dance in Season 1, the Lumberjack Games in Season 3 and the Renaissance Fair in Season 4. In Season 5, which marked the first for the hit Netflix series with new showrunner Patrick Sean Smith at the helm, a wildfire threatening the town of Virgin River. Because of the scope, it took two episodes — 5 and 6 — to deal with the natural disaster and its immediate aftermath.
During the episodes, still reeling from being ousted as the town’s mayor, Hope (Annette O’Toole) rises to the challenge and leads the evacuation efforts.

Commentary‘Good Omens’ Season 2 delivers not only on its promise of a whimsical adventure but also on the desire for deeper queer storylines and representation.Good Omens returns with a delightful Season 2 that continues to explore the heartwarming bond between angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant). The chemistry between the lead actors is as strong as ever and remains the driving force of the show. Season 2 picks up with the sudden appearance of Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) at Aziraphale’s doorstep, leading to an adventure that Heaven and Hell cannot ignore. Good Omens is based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s hit 1990 novel, Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch. While plans for a sequel had been discussed between the prolific writers, Pratchett’s passing in 2015 left fans uncertain about its realisation. However, Gaiman’s determination prevailed and this time, he collaborated...

Long ago in a time before the pandemic (2019) Amazon released a show based on Neil Gaiman’s book Good Omens. Intended to be a limited series, the show was a hit so they opted for even more. However, talking to stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen, multiple seasons were always in the cards. Despite Gaiman’s material taking up the first season, the writers plotted along much further. So while I had very limited time to be able to talk with the two gentlemen, they were a wealth of knowledge. Make sure you check out my conversation with Michael Sheen and David Tennant above. Finales carry expectations, and Good Omens Season 2 Episode 6 does that thing where it closes out some plotlines and leaves others twisting in the wind like so many tangled kite strings.
The solution to Gabriel's amnesia turns out to be a story of growing beyond the role he was created for. His relationship with Beelzebub humanizes them both for better and worse.
Meanwhile, Crowley and Aziraphale also reach a tipping point in their relationship. And we're left twisting.
As far as mysteries go, there weren't a lot of signposts that Gabriel's condition was the result of a forbidden love.
As far as forbidden loves go, the Supreme Archangel and the Lord of the Flies are about as May-December as you can get.

Events move alarmingly quickly on Good Omens Season 2 Episode 5 from odd to impossible to perilously bonkers.
For a show that has taken us to Scotland and Uz, with meandering detours through prehistory and Biblical times, introducing graverobbers, Nazis, and Job, it escalates a neighborhood theme party to an infernal siege with barely a moment to acknowledge the critical change.
Meanwhile, the miracle that hides Gabriel from those looking for him works so well that his surrender is rendered useless.
As an angel, Aziraphale has a number of superpowers, but his party-planning skills are nothing short of miraculous.
His willingness to part with his books -- the items he cherishes most in the world-- in the name of bringing Maggie and Nina together is like Crowley giving up his plants or Bentley.
Like the weather scheme Crowley uses to set Nina and Maggie up to kiss, Aziraphale's Jane Austen ball is...

Warning: contains major spoilers for the Good Omens season 2 finale.
It took over two years for Prime Video to announce that Good Omens was coming back, and four years for it to actually return.
The first six episodes of the fantasy-comedy about angel-demon soulmates Aziraphale and Crowley aired in May 2019. Fans loved it, and naturally wanted more. Then, due to a combination of the global Covid pandemic, plus the extremely busy schedules of creator Neil Gaiman (who also had TV adaptations of The Sandman and Anansi Boys cooking) and his stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen, Good Omens season two was eventually confirmed in June 2021.
Now, in July 2023, it’s finally here, and it had better not take another four years to finish this story. Not after that ending. With major finale spoilers ahead, let’s dive in.

Any chance David Tennant gets to pull out his natural (possibly exaggerated) Scottish accent, as he does on Good Omens Season 2 Episode 3, fun times are to be had.
Aziraphale's 1827 lesson in the ineffable "virtues of poverty" is a moment of real personal growth for the sanctimonious angel.
I'd like to think this isn't the last we'll see of Elsbeth. It would be interesting to see if those ninety guineas are enough to level the playing field for her.
But first, there's Officer Constable Muriel.
Inexperienced with humanity, even among angels, it's a classic comedic fish-out-of-water scenario when she's assigned to confirm and document the miracle Aziraphale claimed to have used to make Nina and Maggies fall in love.
Her Pollyanna-esque optimism and complete ineptitude are quite adorable, especially in light of the higher-up angels' routinely callous and pompous behavior.
With her positive attitude and lean-in curiosity about the world, it...

Spoiler Warning: It's quite the family affair on Good Omens Season 2 Episode 2 as we get another glimpse into Aziraphale and Crowley's past adventures together.
Not only does David Tennant's own son, Ty, portray Job's son Ennon, but Job himself is played by Tennant's father-in-law (and Ty's grandfather), Peter Davison. It's a biblical family outing! Fun times, if you have the pull.
Meanwhile, seeing Gabriel in his previous officious, supercilious role reminds us that Aziraphale and Crowley are saving him purely out of altruism and not because he was ever kind or understanding to them or humanity.
His assertion that his knowledge of human childbirth is extensive because he witnessed God creating Eve from Adam's rib is both absurd and surprisingly useful to our heroes.
Unlike the wig he's sporting in 2500 B.C., which is just absurd.
Nearly five thousand years later, Aziraphale is only slightly better at...

Our favorite angel and demon duo are back in “Good Omens” Season 2: All six episodes hit Prime Video streaming on July 28. This time around, the odd couple is tasked with helping hide Gabriel (Jon Hamm) from both sides of the celestial divide until he can regain his memory.
Here are the returning and new characters and what other projects you may have seen the cast in before.
(Prime Video)
David Tennant as Crowley
Tennant, best known as the 10th Doctor on “Doctor Who,” plays fallen angel Crowley, whose relationship with Aziraphale pre-dates the creation of humans. The stylish demon often finds himself afoul of both heaven and hell. The Scottish actor also starred in “Broadchurch” and Marvel’s “Jessica Jones.”

Michael Sheen as Aziraphale

To an eternal being, four years probably doesn’t seem like such a long time. But to us mere mortals, the wait between Good Omens Seasons 1 and 2 felt interminable. Thank the heavens, then, that today Prime Video brings us the next chapter in the exploits of the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley.
The premiere episode, “The Arrival,” opens with a flashback to Crowley and Aziraphale’s first meeting “before the beginning,” as a title card tells us, when both were angels gazing upon the brand-new cosmos. “Look at you, you’re gorgeous,” David Tennant’s Crowley coos, and Michael Sheen...

If you’ve been counting down the days for the second season of Good Omens so fervently that the mere thought of its arrival makes you exclaim “I am having a moment here!” then you might need to have a sit down: Good Omen Season Two Is Finally Here.

Season one saw them try to prevent the end of the world after the antichrist is born, and as for season two? Well, Crowley and Aziraphale are only just getting used to being exiled from their respective heavenly/hellish bosses when Aziraphale’s former boss, Archangel Gabriel turns up dazed, confused and totally nude. Good Omens season two is a story of friendship and love and, to quote Terry Pratchett’s Moving Pictures, “Passione in a Worlde Gone Madde!” Gorgeous-looking, perfectly cast, and full of joy, it’s like a warm hug and a mug of hot chocolate… with a little macabre horror and sketch show comedy bobbing beneath the surface.
Good Omens season one was based on a standalone novel written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, which meant that it was a complete story. That’s why most of its characters and plotlines – Adam and pals, Agnes Nutter, Anathema and the Four Motorcycle Riders of the Apocalypse – don’t appear in season two.
But more than any of those, Good Omens season one was the story of the friendship between the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale. They’re the true protagonists of the book, and indisputably the stars of the TV show,...

Prime Video will be treating Good Omens fans to behind-the-scenes videos in support of the series’ second season, with plans to drop more than a dozen before the show returns for the new season. The first featurette is packed with tidbits about season two and features Michael Sheen, David Tennant, and director/co-showrunner Douglas MacKinnon.
“The kind of world that Neil (Gaiman) and Terry Pratchett created here, it seems to be expanding out into the world in all kinds of unexpected and truly joyful ways,” offered Sheen. MacKinnon added, “If season one was a comedy about the end of the world, season two is a comedy about the beginning of everything else.”
The behind-the-scenes video was shot during production (well before the strike) and also includes cast members Miranda Richardson, Doon Mackichan, Liz Carr, Shelley Conn, Quelin Sepulveda, Gloria Obianyo, Maggie Service, and Nina Sosanya.

The Prime Video series "Good Omens," based on the novel "Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, is a delightfully irreverent romp through the apocalypse. The demon Crowley (David Tennant) and angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) are the unlikeliest of friends, but they still manage to stop the apocalypse together despite their many differences. Sure, there was a mix-up with the infant antichrist that led to a much sillier apocalypse than expected, but everything turned out okay in the end, and now the angel-demon duo are coming back for another, all-new adventure.
Season 1 of "Good Omens" felt like a one-and-done deal, with a complete story that ends rather resolutely, and there's no sequel novel to draw from. However, the success of the series and fan love for Aziraphale and Crowley was enough to inspire co-creator Gaiman to write an entirely new...

Andrew Garfield is heading for the stars. In addition to Garfield, Daisy Edgar-Jones joins the cast as Cosmos filmmaker Ann Druyan. The project is going to the Cannes market this month, courtesy of FilmNation Entertainment.
The Voyagers story takes place in 1977 at NASA, where Sagan’s team is preparing to launch humanity’s first interstellar probes. The launch includes a message from the team responsible for the monumental devices, dubbed The Golden Record. The story begins as a race to complete the mission on time, then transitions into an unforeseen love story between Sagan and Druyan. Toni Collette says she’s had no second thoughts about turning away intimacy coordinators when they’ve been offered to her on sets, but not taking a deal to be the face of Qantas is one of her biggest regrets.
The actress, who stars in the new series The Power, spoke about the two disparate topics during an interview with U.K. outlet The Times, during which she also touched on a series of other personal and professional subjects, including acting from a young age, her divorce and cancel culture. The latter topic included mention of her love of Ricky Gervais and the feeling that while people shouldn’t be harassing, the concept can be stifling.
“God, when [cancel culture] was first mentioned to me, a while back now, I didn’t quite understand what people meant,” she said. “I mean, we don’t want people who are offensive swinging their stuff around with freedom.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Goldbergs Season 10 Episode 14 “Two-Timing Goldbergs.”] A familiar face made a special return in the latest episode of The Goldbergs as Aj Michalka‘s Lainey Lewis paid her friend Erica (Hayley Orrantia) a visit. We’re all aware of the hokey old “the doctor is a woman!” riddle, but what if that doctor were Dr. Frankenstein? Distaff riffs on Mary Shelley’s Og horror novel do exist — schlocky 1971 Italian exploitation flick “Lady Frankenstein,” for one. But given that it’s a story of life-creation, it’s slightly surprising that it’s taken till now for it to be repurposed, however loosely, into a Midnight-Madness-style motherhood fable. Better late than never: Laura Moss’ superbly performed, enjoyably queasy “Birth/Rebirth” proves just how well the classic tale of scientific hubris and the desire to conquer death maps onto a gory maternity morality play, reanimating the truism that there’s little more (un)deadly than a mother’s love.
In a prologue, hospital midwife Celie (Judy Reyes) is assisting at an emergency C-section for a pregnancy gone suddenly, heinously wrong. The baby lives. The mother dies.

This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful that Happy Endings alum Casey Wilson is bringing @HappyHarmony99 back to Home Economics tonight for the Hayworths’ turkey-day celebration. Revealed in the comedy’s Halloween episode to be both an oddly enthusiastic fan of novelist Tom (Topher Grace) and the siblings’ half-sister, Wilson hints that the return of this “sociopath with a heart of gold” makes for a not-so-harmonious holiday. Especially since it’s the first time she meets her bio dad, Marshall, and the wife he cheated on, Muriel (Nora Dunn). At first, the Hayworth siblings are concerned that Harmony won’t fit in at the dinner table. But then, “they come to realize that [she’s] a bit like each of them,” Wilson says. In addition, Marshall and Muriel appear to be infatuated with her! Might we see Harmony again? “I hope so,” Wilson says. “She could be back for Christmas!” Here, ...

In 2019, "Good Omens" proved to us that there's such a thing as an angel and demon pair made in heaven as long -- as they're played by Michael Sheen and David Tennant, respectively. The Prime Video/BBC TV show was written as a limited series since the 1990 source material, written by producer and showrunner Neil Gaiman ("The Sandman") and the late Terry Pratchett, was a stand-alone book.
The besties have saved the world from the Apocalypse and thwarted the Antichrist. But Gaiman decided there could be more adventures for the angel Aziraphale (Sheen) and demon Crowley (Tennant) after all.
