Vice TV has teamed with Jimmy Kimmel’s Kimmelot and ITV America on Super Maximum Retro Show, a series based on the viral Super70sSports Twitter feed. Hosted by comedian Chris Distefano, Super Maximum Retro Show will premiere on Vice TV on Tuesday, March 7 at 10 Pm.
Super Maximum Retro Show comes from Ricky Cobb, who is behind the Twitter account, and will feature “the best, worst and most outrageous” videos, photos, ads and games from the 70s, 80s and 90s, In each episode the show’s guest panelists will comment, joke and make fun some of the most absurd things to come out of those decades in the pre-Internet era. Comedy Central is developing three new scripted projects — How to be a Couple, an interracial couple comedy from former Broad City writer Naomi Ekperigin, who also stars, and Andy Beckermam; The Chameleon created by and starring The Comedy Jam‘s Matteo Lane, and an untitled comedy from Samantha Irby, based on her successful book of essays, Meaty, along with Inside Amy Schumer head writer Jessi Klein and former Broad City co-creator/star Abbi Jacobson. The projects were announced today as part of Comedy Central’s presentation at TCA.

Bravo is expanding its development slate with eight new reality projects. The announcement comes on the heels of the greenlight of 11 new and 20 returning series as the network gears up for seven nights of original programming beginning this fall.
The new projects include Will You Marry Us, from Ravi Patel and Pilgrim media based on Patel’s Emmy-winning documentary Meet the Patels, and Flying High, from Jenny Daly’s T Group Productions. Also on the slate is Raising the Bar: Hong Kong a docuseries that follows American nightlife power players in Asia.

Bravo has got a brand new bag full of shows to fill up its now seven-night programming schedule this fall, including yet another “Real Housewives” series — but this one comes with a retro twist.
The NBCU cable network has ordered eight new series, it was announced Monday by Rachel Smith, senior vice president development, Bravo Media.
The slate includes “Real Housewives of the 1960s,” an “imaginative docu-series, a cast of modern women will be sent back to the 1960s to experience the ultimate era of the American Housewife,” and “Gold With Envy,” a reality show that follows the personal life of the host of ‘The Breakfast Club” radio show, DJ Envy.

Bravo is beefing up its development slate by adding eight new series, the cable network announced Monday.
The news comes on the heels of Bravo announcing orders for 11 new shows and 20 returning shows as they plan to expand to seven nights a week of original programming beginning in Fall 2018.
“Bravo offers a wide scope of programming that gives viewers many options to escape their normal reality mixing humor and fun with layered storytelling resulting in addictive series that offer unique worlds and characters,” said Rachel Smith, senior vice president of development for Bravo Media. “With this new slate of development, we’re testing unexpected environments and loud formats that aim to attract a wide audience while staying true to what makes Bravo so distinct.”

Girl Code, a spin-off of MTV2′s Guy Code has been picked up for a second season by MTV. The series features female comics giving viewers tips about womanhood, covering everything from frenemies, girl fights and cutting bathroom lines, to dancing drinking and dating. Two new episodes are set to air Tuesday at 9:30 Pm and 10:30 Pm. Girl Code ranks as the No. 1 original cable series in its time slot with P12-34, and is the No. 1 program across all TV in its time slot with W12-34. Additionally, it’s currently the most social MTV reality series on air, and ranks in the Top 10 for all TV shows each week. Actor/comedian and writer Jb Smoove has partnered with his longtime manager Rick Dorfman, veteran comedy agent and manager Conan Smith and independent producer and financier Adam Benowitz to form Converge Media Group, a full-service management, production and branded entertainment company. The four are partners at the company with offices in New York City and a studio facility in Irvington, NY which features a fully equipped 10,000 sq ft production studio and professional recording studio. Besides Smoove, who co-stars on CBS’ new comedy series The Millers, Converge’s clients also include Rachel Dratch, Lynne Koplitz, Pete Dominic, Chris Distefano, Carly Aquillino, John Moses, Ryan Ling and Pj Morrison. In addition to traditional management services, the company will focus on content for emerging medias. It is already producing a new series for Msg network called Four Courses With Jb Smoove, which premieres tomorrow, and is launching an online branded entertainment piece with The Economist.
