Miller will play a 15-year-old swimming prodigy who self-destructs after his long absent father is released from jail.
Bronte Pictures’ Blake Northfield and Nathan Walker will produce the drama which is intended to go into production in Queensland in late 2019.
The movie is a deeply personal project for the La-based filmmaker, who grew up as a competitive swimmer and is drawing on memories from those times.

Anchor Bay Entertainment just released a new teaser for writer/director Paul Solet’s Grace; check it out below the cut. The movie is playing the Sundance Film Festival in four screenings, starting tonight at midnight.
Based on Solet’s acclaimed short of the same title, the movie stars Cabin Fever’s Jordan Ladd as an expectant mother who learns that her baby has died inside her, but decides to carry it to term anyway—only for it to be born alive, but decidedly unnatural. Hatchet’s Adam Green produced along with Ingo Vollkammer, Cory Neal and Kevin DeWalt. A new website has also opened for the film (although it’s just a homepage at the moment, with new content coming soon); you can see it here. Keep your eyes on our site and Fangoria magazine for further Grace coverage!

Leomax Entertainment has acquired North American rights to the Norwegian psychological horror film Cold Prey from Sweden's AB Svensk Filmindustri.
The film, directed by Roar Uthaug, will have a limited theatrical release followed by home video distribution in the U.S. and Canada by Anchor Bay Entertainment through Leomax's genre label, Indigomotion.
Prey, which had its U.S. premiere at this year's Slamdance Film Festival, revolves around a group of college friends on a snowboarding expedition who are forced to take shelter in an abandoned ski lodge during a storm. It was written by Thomas Moldestad and produced by Magne Lyngner and Martin Sundland.
Prey marks the first acquisition for Leomax, headed by Ingo Vollkammer and his partner Scott Einbinder. Leomax, launched in February with backing from Zurich-based parent company Leomax AG, has a multipicture co-financing and distribution arrangement with Starz Home Entertainment for the production and acquisition of films.
The deal was negotiated by Einbinder on behalf of Leomax and Ann-Kristin Westerberg for AB Svensk.
