On Monday morning, the cohosts of The View weighed in on the recently-released video of Sean Combs aka Diddy attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie in 2016, as well as his on-camera apology for his behavior after the footage surfaced on CNN. Following remarks by other cohosts, Alyssa Farah Griffin revealed her personal connection to the case: “I hope the book’s thrown at him. The apology was lacking… He didn’t even name Cassie. There was no message to young men. There was no saying he was going to donate his millions to a domestic violence shelter. And part of this conversation I’ve seen since this video emerged is this question of, ‘Why didn’t she leave?’ I want to speak to that,” Griffin said. “I once was a victim of domestic abuse in a prior relationship,” the former Trump White House staffer explained. “It happened once. I was one of...

It seems today that all you see is cartoon shows with little continuity.
Nevertheless, Seth MacFarlane’s Family Guy, as obscene and silly as it may be, decides to switch up its “canon” every so often. Whether it’s due to the passing of a cast member, attempts at a ratings stunt, or (unintentional) acts of progressiveness for its characters’ development, the Griffin family’s world within Quahog for the past 25 years of airing has only expanded.
Here are some of the most significant canon changes in Family Guy history.
Revival With Yolo Energy
Due to low ratings, Family Guy faced the cancellation gun early into its lifespan. But in its death, the great bird-is-the-word got around via DVD sales and rerun airings on Adult Swim. Thus, in its rebirth on Fox in 2005, the show became cruder, bloodier, and edgier than ever, both in its art style and spirit. The...

Home invasion has been a part of horror movies practically from the beginning. The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920), Nosferatu (1922), Dracula, and Frankenstein (1931) all included moments of attackers entering homes uninvited and terrorizing unsuspecting victims.
Home invasion as a sub-genre unto itself came a bit later, as the suburbs sprung up and a false sense of security rose in the United States along with fears of “the other” that have always been a key aspect of horror movies.
These ten movies may not all be the best of this sub-genre, but they all bring something different to the table and pushed it, in large and small ways, in new directions.
The Desperate Hours (1955)
It is practically impossible to pinpoint the exact moment that started any new genre or movement within film but a good candidate for the foundation of the home invasion movie is William Wyler’s The Desperate Hours. The...

Rumors that Andy Cohen is set to leave Bravo amid serious misconduct allegations are untrue. While Cohen’s job at Bravo appears safe for now, the accusations against him are stacking up. We’ve collected the most recent allegations against the Bravo executive.
What are the allegations against Andy Cohen?
While Bravo insists Andy Cohen is not getting ready to exit the network, fans are still torn over the allegations against him. Things kicked off in February 2024 when Brandi Glanville came forward to accuse Andy Cohen of sexual harassment. According to Variety, Glanville’s lawyers have requested an apology from Cohen. In a letter obtained by the publication, Glanville said Cohen sexually harassed her during a phone call in which he told her he intended to have sex with an unnamed Bravo employee but that he would be thinking of her. “Family Guy” creator and executive producer Seth MacFarlane shared insight at PaleyFest on whether or not the Griffin family will ever make it to the big screen in a full-length feature film. The show’s cast also brought the house down Friday with a live table read of upcoming episode “The Edible Arrangement” and nine performances of musical classics from the series as the show celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Without giving too much of the goodness away, the episode the cast did a table read for — written by Travis Bowe — is titled “The Edible Arrangement.” It’s centered on Lois and Stewie bonding after consuming a few of Brian’s weed-infused gummies. The episode features the first time Lois has ever heard Stewie talk, which provides Stewie with the perfect opportunity to tell her all about his old plot to murder her.

"Familly Guy" is more than a show at this point. 25 years into its long run on television, it's a straight-up, locked-in part of the larger pop culture fabric. It's similar to "The Simpsons" in that way. But as the show is in the midst of its 22nd season, with a 23rd on the way, are we getting close to wrapping it up with the Griffin family? Creator Seth MacFarlane certainly doesn't seem to think there is any good reason to end it any time soon.

MacFarlane, who voices a number of characters on the show including Peter, Stewie, and Quagmire, among others, was asked whether he believes the show could run for another 25 years. Kathy Griffin might have appeared on Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but she has nothing nice to say about her experiences or Larry David, the creator of those shows. “Larry David dumped me,” the comedian told The Enquirer, noting it happened after her controversial 2017 social media post where she posed for a photo holding a replica of former president Donald Trump‘s severed head. “Not in a fun charming way,” she continued. “He’s really not a pleasant person. He plays a version of himself on that show that he thinks he is.” Griffin appeared in the first episode of Curb, “The Pants Tent,” which aired on October 15, 2000. In the episode, Larry uses Griffin as an excuse to explain to Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) his tension with Jeff (Jeff Garlin), though it’s later uncovered as a lie when Griffin meets them all at a restaurant. Despite her brief history with the show,...

A woman named Katrina Griffin, who was visiting Disney’s California Adventure in April of 2022 with her family, is suing the Walt Disney Company due to injuries sustained on her trip.
The lawsuit states that on April 3rd, 2022, Griffin bent over to tie her daughter’s shoes. When a cast member dressed as the popular Mickey Mouse character Goofy ran into her and they both fell onto the hard cement with him on top of her. She claims that she felt all of his body weight on her.

Update, with video: The View‘s Hot Topics took on a whole new meaning today when the co-hosts weighed in on the recent controversy over the claim of a TikTok user who insists that Saturday Night Live “has never hired a hot woman” as a cast member.
Introducing the discussion with an eye roll and a dismissive wave of her hand, Whoopi Goldberg otherwise refused to engage in the debate, tossing the discussion to co-host and stand-up comedian Joy Behar.
“First of all, it’s a comedy show not a beauty pageant,” Behar said. “It’s not for men to ogle women who are trying to get a laugh.”
Watch the segment below.
Behar then said that being overtly sexy can interfere with joke-telling. “No one’s going to laugh at what you say if they’re too busy looking at your boobs,” she said.

A recent IGN article has sparked controversy on Twitter. In the article, IGN discusses how animators utilized recent technological advancements to introduce Hailey Cooper, a deaf character, into Insomniac’s Spider-Man series. Cooper is an original character developed for the games and serves as the love interest of Miles Morales.
Much of the ire has been hurled at Sweet Baby Inc., the Narrative Consultancy company blamed for injecting “wokeness” into several video game titles like God of War Ragnarok, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and of course Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Praise and critique
Although the IGN article paints the character in a flattering light, and the developers are proud of their work, gamers seem to have taken a different perspective on the matter.

Bravo King Andy Cohen has some explaining to do! In February Real Housewives of New York star Leah McSweeney filed a lawsuit against the Watch What Happens Live star and accused him of snorting cocaine with the cast and manipulating the housewives in to getting drunk while the cameras are rolling to make more exciting reality TV.
Andy Cohen’s rep denied the claims, but other celebs are getting involved now, including Kathy Griffin.
Andy Cohen has appeared unbothered since Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit went public. But, there has always been unofficial accusations against the Bravo producers and Real Housewives fans know that there is just as much drama behind the scenes as there is when the cameras are rolling.

The View co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin did public penance today for their recent “rabbit hole” speculation about Kate Middleton, saying they regret indulging in silly conspiracy theories that were rampant prior to the princess’ announcement Friday that she has cancer.
And all three said they regret not taking the advice of View moderator Whoopi Goldberg to, as Navarro said today, “mind my own damn business.”
The three co-hosts spent considerable airtime last week playfully discussing the mystery of Middleton’s whereabouts, as well as the meanings and motives behind the recent photoshopped Royal Family photo.
Only Goldberg refused to indulge in the speculation, repeatedly advising her co-hosts to stop the theorizing, insisting that even Royals deserve privacy.
Today, Griffin said she “forgot something fundamental,” that people can be “dealing with personal struggles we don’t know about. I send my love to her and my strength to her.

Kathy Griffin‘s estranged husband Randy Bick is responding after she filed for divorce.
The 63-year-old comedian filed to separate from the marketing executive on December 28, 2023. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the pair’s divorce.
After Kathy hired a private investigator to find Randy and serve him the divorce papers, he has finally broken his silence.
Keep reading to find out more…
In a statement obtained by Et, Randy‘s attorney Heather Graham said: “Mr. Bick has been represented by counsel since early January and his attorney has been in contact with Ms. Griffin’s attorney about the matter since that time. Therefore, any claims that Ms. Griffin needed to ‘hire a private investigator’ to find Mr. Bick are disingenuous and are not supported by the facts. If Ms. Griffin needed to contact Mr. Bick, she should have simply had her lawyer call Mr. Bick’s lawyer.

Kathy Griffin is trying to find her estranged husband, Randy Bick, so she can serve him divorce papers and officially annul their four-year marriage. According to court documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the comedian has hired the services of a private investigator to track down Bick and serve him the legal papers. This comes after Griffin has been unable to find her husband “despite her efforts to do so.” Bick left the former family residence at Griffin’s request and has not been in contact with her or told him where he is residing. However, despite hiring a P.I. to find Bick, a status conference brief filed in in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, March 19, claims that “this too has been unsuccessful.” The document goes on to say that Griffin will make further attempts to locate Bick and “will now take steps to enter his default.” The...

However, according to a new report, his whereabouts are still unknown after leaving their shared home.

Family Feud contestants are under a lot of pressure when they face off at the podium, but Kendall McCoy’s self-assurance was unmatched.
Kendall faced off against his competitor, Jacob Griffin, as host Steve Harvey read them their survey question.
Steve was looking for the top four answers on the board and asked Kendall and Jacob to name “an occupation that a boy wouldn’t want his girlfriend’s father to have.”
Jacob was the first to hit his buzzer, and when Steve called on him for his answer, he responded, “Lawyer.”
Unfortunately for Jacob, his answer didn’t make it to the top four, so Kendall was given a chance to steal the board with a correct answer.
Kendall leaned over the podium and calmly spoke into his mic: “Police officer.”

Donna Summer’s family is feeling the opposite of love for Kanye West. In a new lawsuit filed Tuesday, Summer’s husband Bruce Sudano alleges West and collaborator Ty Dolla $ign engaged in “blatant theft” when they sampled Summer’s iconic 1977 hit “I Feel Love” on their recently released Vultures 1 song “Good (Don’t Die).”
The copyright infringement complaint says West and Ty Dolla $ign, whose legal name is Tyrone Griffin, “shamelessly” stole the instantly recognizable hook from Summer’s disco classic after they asked for permission to use it and were “explicitly denied.

Despite being on network television, Seth MacFarlane's irreverent animated sitcom "Family Guy" can get away with a lot of edgy humor. With over 20 seasons under its belt, the show's reputation precedes it, and audiences are well-aware that the series is actively trying to push buttons through provocative satire and parody. However, during the show's original three-season run, before it got canceled and eventually resurrected thanks to a second wind from DVD sales, "Family Guy" didn't have the same power. That's why Fox initially refused to air one particular episode.
"When You Wish Upon a Weinstein" now sits firmly as part of the third season of "Family Guy," but it became an infamous installment after Fox axed the episode before it even aired. The episode in question finds dimwitted patriarch Peter Griffin (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) scammed by a man selling volcano insurance, something wholly unnecessary in Quahog, Rhode Island.
