- In May 2003 Kerrang! Magazine declared Faith No Mores album Angel Dust from 1992 as The Most Influential Album of All Time.
- Members have included Billy Gould, Mike Bordin, Roddy Bottum, Courtney Love, Chuck Mosley, Jim Martin, Mike Patton, Trey Spruance, Dean Menta and Jon Hudson.
- Faith No More has been a big influence for many heavy metal musicians in the 21st century and has paved the way for the so called nu metal scene that emerged in the late 90s.
Bands like Incubus, System of a Down, Slipknot, Deftones and Korn have all hailed Faith No Mores variation of different music styles that dared to go beyond the radio friendly sound and challenge old conventions of heavier rock music. - Faith No More was formed in San Francisco, California in the autumn of 1983. Prior to that, they performed under the name "Faith. No Man.", from late 1982 to the summer of 1983, and even before that as "Sharp Young Men" from late 1981 to late 1982.
