Michele "MiMi" Cynthia, distinguished as The Grief Warrior®, embodies resilience and profound empathy. Her dedication to guiding individuals through the tumults of life is deeply ingrained in her personal narrative of triumph over adversity. Her screenplay, "A Son's Gift," an adapted screenplay from her first book, "Journey of Unconditional Love," and a reflective piece on her journey through hardship and towards healing, secured 22 honors in 2020-2021, including "Best Feature Screenplay," "Best Song," and "Best Screenwriter." Since then, as an author, she has written the renowned 7 Stages of Grief called "EMBRACE," a 360-page workbook journal, course, and curriculum.
Initiating her career at the tender age of 18 as a hair and makeup artist during Fashion Week in Bryant Park, MiMi, now 58, has utilized her inherent creative talent as a means for empowerment and inspiration. Her confrontations with personal adversity propelled her into advocacy, particularly in areas of mental health, suicide prevention, bullying, and domestic abuse. Her extensive engagements, including her role as an onset Thera Coach (aka Intimacy Coordinator) and private grief and trauma counselor, are underpinned by a PhD in Metaphysics and Philosophy, establishing her as a profound energy healer.
Engaging with the arts as a therapeutic approach to her PTSD, MiMi believes in the power of creativity to confront and overcome life's hurdles. Her experiences of loss, trauma, bullying, and domestic abuse, have transformed her into an ardent advocate for mental health, extending a voice of solace and hope to many.
