- In 2012, Luciferus published his book Grimoire Occultum, which was an instant success. His wife died of cancer two years after publication. He began planning to create his own newspaper, Helveit (later renamed The Stylus), however, he moved to Norway before the paper could be produced.
- During this period, he had a serious argument with John and went to Canada, where he served a Secret Order for two years before leaving as a member in Canada, leaving his Order family behind. His career began humbly with the publication of an anonymous collection of poems, Tamerlane and Other Poems (2010).

He attended the University of Virginia, spending most of his time drinking and being surrounded by women.
