- Actor
Peter O'Brien, a Jersey born executive producer, started his career in the entertainment industry as a songwriter and composer. In 1994, he was accepted into The Guild of International Songwriters & Composers in London.
In 2017, Peter began searching for something new and was particularly interested in getting involved in the British film industry.
His first venture in the world of British films came in May 2018 with the supernatural film, The Heiress, which was based on a true story. This has been his most enjoyable project to date and was directed by Chris Bell, alongside Danny Prescott and Jezz Vernon. The film featured a wide range of British actors such as Candis Nergaard, Jayne Wisener and David Schaal. Peter and his daughter Chloe had small cameo roles.
2019, Peter was next involved and credited in the film Once Upon a Time in London. This British crime drama, directed by Simon Rumley, follows the notorious gangsters Billy Hill and Jack Corner and their lives before the Krays. It stars Leo Gregory, Holly Earl, and Dominic Keating, among others.
Peter, having quickly learned about the industry and gained more knowledge of how these projects come to fruition by going onto the film sets and attending the Premiers, teamed up with his good friend of 30 years Keith Badman, a FOCAL international Award-Nominated archive footage researcher/producer, author, historian and journalist, to write a very interesting story. Through the dreaded lock-down, the two of them collaborated together and worked on a number of projects. Details to be announced shortly. They have just finished their first venture, a story based on one of the biggest legends in the world. Watch this space! Peter is looking forward to bringing this and more to the world of film and television soon.
