Billie Suliat Baker was born to Nigerian parents Adisa Mukyle Bashua
and Yetunde Margaret Solanke in Lagos Nigeria. At age 13, she moved
to the United Kingdom. After attending Barking and Dagenham College
where she acquired a BTech in Performing Arts, She went on to graduate
from Central School of Speech and Drama in 1998 with a B.A Honors
degree in Acting. Some of her credits include UK hospital drama Hoby
City, BFTA and IFTA award nominated TV series Murphy's Law, and The
Royal National Theatre's production of 'A Street Car Named Desire'
starring Glenn Close and directed by Sir Trevor Nunn. Billie is also an
active Committee member of the annual Women's International Film and
Arts Festival 'WIFF'.
