Nearly 15 years removed from the last installment, horror fans are in the longest dry spell without a new Friday the 13th movie since the franchise debuted in 1980 — but there’s no shortage of merchandise to fill the Jason-sized void in your life.
Over a dozen companies and artists have released Friday the 13th-inspired apparel, prints, and collectibles in honor of Jason’s big day…
Fright-Rags
Fright Rags has reprinted four Friday the 13th designs on T-shirts for $30 and zip-up hoodies for $55: Part II, III, and V by Justin Osbourn and Part VI by Christopher Lovell.
They’ve also restocked enamel pins with eight of the franchise’s victims: Burt, Shelly, Mark, Kate, Julius, Jack, Hitchhiker, and Demon. Designed by Matt Ryan Tobin, they’re $13 each.

With seemingly endless sunshine and spirited dancing around the maypole, you can imagine getting quite thirsty participating in the Hårga celebration from Ari Aster's Midsommar (even just watching it can make you parched). The fine folks at Scarlet Lane Brewing Company have the solution to quench our thirst and settle our nerves from some of the festival's more disturbing rituals, as we're excited to exclusively reveal that the brewing company will release a new Midsommar-inspired beer this February.
Titled A Midsommar Ale and based on the Swedish Sima, the new beer will fittingly launch on February 14th at Scarlet Lane Brewing Company's Midsommar-themed anti-Valentine's Day dinner.
Featuring eerie artwork by Chris Garofalo of Quiltface Studios, the label art will be released as a print following the beer's launch. And beer lovers, take note, because in addition to their Midsommar-based ale, Scarlet Lane will also release a beer inspired by...

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! While you’re off enjoying some much-needed downtime with friends and family, we’ve gone ahead and put together a recap of this week’s horror and sci-fi home entertainment releases that are coming our way on May 30th.

As far as new genre films go, The Blackcoat’s Daughter (one of my personal favorites of 2017) and Rupture are making their way to Blu-ray and DVD, with the Shock-o-Rama box set also coming out on DVD.

If Frosty the Snowman is a little too holly and jolly for your tastes, then you might want to consider adding Vinegar Syndrome's Blu-ray / DVD release of Jack Frost (1997) to your stocking this holiday season.
From Amazon: "On his way to be executed, the vehicle containing notorious serial killer Jack Frost collides with a hazardous chemical truck, turning Jack into a snow covered mutant and unleashing him on the unsuspecting town of Snomonton, 'The Snowman Capitol of the Midwest'. Jack immediately takes advantage of his newfound freedom and blizzardy abilities to seek revenge on the bungling Sheriff, played by Christopher Allport (To Live And Die In L.A.), that accidentally ended his cross-country killing spree. On his way to the Sheriff, Jack terrorizes the snow-man themed town and murders its residents in a variety of winterized ways. Can the residents of Snomonton fight back against the psychopath snowman from Hell...

The storytelling of Stephen King has inspired all of us in one way or another, and his classic tales have conjured unforgettable images in just about every artistic medium. Case in point: a new exhibit entitled “King for a Day,” coming this week to L.A.'s Hero Complex Gallery, will feature some gorgeous King-themed works by artists and designers around the world who have drawn creative inspiration from the author's writing. The exhibit includes multiple submissions from from the so-called “Poster Posse,” including Robert Bruno, Nick Comparone, Patrick Connan, Harlan Elam, Florey, Chris Garofalo, Peter Gutierrez, Tom Miatke, David Moscati, Kaz Oomori, Adam Rabalais, Paul Shipper and Chris Skinner. "It's Your Cat Now" (Artist: Chris Garafolo) Pop Culture blog Blurppy.com recently published an in-depth study of several entries from the exhibit, including works in progress and commentary by the artists involved. Few films tickle our fancy more around these parts than C.H.U.D. There's never a wrong time to watch it, reference it, or wonder what the hell was up with its sequel. The flick just doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
Apparently artist Chris Garofalo thinks so as well because he has issued a stunningly awesome new poster for the flick which is now on sale at his website.
This 4-color screen print measures 18" x 24" inches and costs a mere 30 bucks. We fully expect the Foywonder to paper his entire home with these bad boys, and we don't blame him one bit!
Check out the eye candy below, and if it resonates with you as much as it does with us, order yours now!

Keanu Reeves' 47 Ronin looks like it's going to be a very cool fantasy-martial-arts-action film. In anticipation of the film's release, Blurppy is back with an awesome new collection of fan-made poster art for it. The posters come from several different artists, including Linda Hordijk, , Chris Skinner, Salvador Anguiano, John Hughes, Berkay Daglar, Doaly, Samuel Ho, Matt Needle, Rich Davies, Paul Ainsworth, Matt Ferguson, Mat Weller, Juan Hugo Martinez, Joe Vetoe, Khoa Ho, Chris Garofalo, and Paul Shipper.
From ancient Japan’s most enduring tale, the epic 3D fantasy-adventure “47 Ronin” is born. Keanu Reeves leads the cast as Kai, an outcast who joins Oishi (Hiroyuki Sanada), the leader of the 47 Ronin. Together they seek vengeance upon the treacherous overlord who killed their master and banished their kind. To restore honor to their homeland, the warriors embark upon a quest that challenges them with a series of trials that would destroy ordinary warriors.

I really hope Paramount Pictures' World War Z movie ends up being good. I liked the trailer, but as you've seen, it's going to be nothing like the book by Max Brooks. Regardless, here's a fantastic series of World War Z fan-made poster art created for blurppy by artists Tracie Ching, Midnight Marauder, Marko Manev, Chris Garofalo, Marie Bergeron, Adam Rabalais, David Moscati, and Matt Ferguson. All of them are way better than the teaser poster that the studio released.
The story for the film revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.
The movie was directed by Marc Forster, and it stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, and Matthew Fox. Look over the posters, and tell us what you favorite design is!

The folks at Blurppy.com weren’t so thrilled with the first World War Z poster art, so they asked artists Tracie Ching, Midnight Marauder, Marko Manev, Chris Garofalo, Marie Bergeron, Adam Rabalais, David Moscati and Matt Ferguson to come up with their own takes on the film.
Working with very limited information about the movie, they designed some creative and beautiful concept art. You may notice some references to iconic war and revolution posters. See a few favorite posters below and more images at Blurppy.com.
