Musicians are mourning Malcolm Young after the guitarist and co-founder of the iconic rock band AC/DC died on Saturday at the age of 64
“Today it is with deep heartfelt sadness that AC/DC has to announce the passing of Malcolm Young,” AC/DC wrote in a statement shared on social media. “Malcolm, along with Angus, was the founder and creator of AC/DC. With enormous dedication and commitment he was the driving force behind the band. As a guitarist, songwriter and visionary he was a perfectionist and a unique man. He always stuck to his guns and did and said exactly what he wanted.

Wonder Woman is one of the true wonders of comic book fandom. She first made her appearance during the Second World War and more than 75 years later she’s still going strong. Throughout the decades she has been transformed numerous times, yet through it all she has for the most part maintained her basic form and personality, one driven by a thirst for justice and in defense of the defenseless. Born of Amazonian royalty, she is Princess Diana of Themyscira, a sub-continent located somewhere in the blue mists of time, also known as Paradise Island. Her mother, Queen Hippolyta, is the ruler of this all-female happy domain, a position that Diana herself will presumably fill one day. That is, until a man shows up. Steve Trevor, a U.S. Army pilot, literally drops out of the sky,...

It’s been almost a year to the day since we lost David Bowie, but the rock icon and beloved creative force is still foremost in the minds of those who knew and loved him best. As Billboard reports, on Sunday evening, some of those people — including fans, friends and even former bandmates — gathered together to celebrate what would have been Bowie’s seventieth birthday for a three-hour charity concert at London’s Brixton Academy. It was an appropriately rocking and raucous event.
The show was hosted by actor (and close Bowie pal) Gary Oldman, who took the stage not only to emcee the event, but to rock out to a few of Bowie’s classics, including “Sorrow” and “The Man Who Sold the World.”

Hanging out over coffee with Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliott at the legendary rock 'n' roll hotel Sunset Marquis was already a great start to our morning -- what made it even better was Elliott himself. Laid-back, charming and happy to riff on any subject we lobbed at him, he talked candidly about rocking out after fifty, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Def Leppard's upcoming tour with Kiss, and plenty more. Given how much we loved talking to his band mate Phil Collen, how can we decide which member of the band was a better guest? We can't and yeah, no reason to do it. They're both awesome -- and Elliott had so much to say, we couldn't bring ourselves to cut him off for some arbitrary time limit. Thus, you get part one and part two of our chat with him (part two will be next week). You're welcome.

Def Leppard have started recording "forgeries" of their own back catalogue. The band told Billboard that they had recreated their old songs following a royalty dispute with Universal Music Group over digital downloads. "When you're at loggerheads with an ex-record label who... is not prepared to pay you a fair amount of money and we have the right to say, 'Well, you're not doing it', that's the way it's going to be," frontman Joe Elliot said. "That's the way we've left it. We'll just replace our back catalogue with brand new, exact same versions of what we did." He added: "We had to study those songs, I mean down to the umpteenth degree of detail, and make complete forgeries of them. "Time-wise it probably took as long to do as the originals, but because of the technology it actually got (more)...

A lot of the hype surrounding the new “Rock of Ages” movie has been focused on Tom Cruise playing the role of Stacee Jaxx, but it doesn't look like "Fox & Friends" host Steve Doocy has been paying much attention. Doocy was talking about the film Friday with '80s band Def Leppard when he accidentally referred to Tom Cruise as Tom Hanks.
"How cool is it that though, that today, the biggest movie in the world will be 'Rock of Ages' starring Tom Hanks?" Doocy asked the band, as the audience chuckled and Joe Elliot corrected his gaffe.
"Fox & Friends" has not been having an awesome week. Thursday, host Brian Kilmeade made a sexist comment about women playing golf and tennis, causing his co-host Gretchen Carlson to walk off the set in disgust.

Last night on "Idol:" The really nice, marginally talented white dude won over the more talented but somewhat distant unwed mother with dreads. It's Ok, though. The nice white dude has a nice smile, and he sings with a nervous quiver. Isn't that adorable? For those of you thinking that the unwed mother is better off because she won't have to work with the "Idol" recording label: Forget that. "Idol" owns the soul of the entire top ten. For life, or until the world forgets about them.
Also, lots of people who many of you listened to growing up came out to sing with this season's "Idol" contestants in an effort to make you feel really fucking old. The common thread: You probably won't see any of them again until next year's "Idol" finale. Except for Joe Cocker. He'll probably be dead. But for a guy about to die, he can still belt it.
