Ashlee Olivia Jones was born and raised in L.A., grew up singing, dancing and acting. Her 1st favorite famous people were Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston. After developing her creative skills at conservatories for kids in the arts at places like All About Kids (AAK), Amazing Grace Conservatory (AGC), St. Bernard High School (the Mr. Griffin/Mrs. Robinson days) and auditioning for TV and Film as a kid, Ashlee went on to Chicago to earn her Degree in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University as a young adult. After making her way back to L.A. where she always saw herself continuing her career, she mounted her own 1-woman show numerous of times in L.A., short runs, Ashlee Olivia Presents: Eartha and Mama Eartha, including 4 nights in the Hollywood Fringe Fest to enthusiastic crowds. Ashlee's favorite productions to have worked on in Los Angeles to date are The Magnificent Dunbar Hotel written by Levy Lee Simon, directed by Ben Guillory which went on to be featured in the National Black Theatre Festival, as well as, Anna Lucasta, also directed by Ben Guillory where she played the same title-lead role 1 of her most favorite icons once played in the film version, Eartha Kitt. Ashlee's most riveting on-stage role to date was 'Adriana' in the West Coast premiere of Scraps by the critically acclaimed, award winning playwright, Geraldine Inoa which has been recently published by Dramatists Play Service and available at Skylight books in Silverlake.
