- Erin Xáalnook Tripp is a Tlingit actor, voiceover artist, and audiobook narrator based in Southeast Alaska. The arts run in her family: Her sister Erika is a beader, her sister Stephanie is an illustrator, and her brother Andrew works full time as a metal and wood carver. Her family also owns and operates a Northwest Coast art store that Erin grew up working in alongside her siblings called The Mt Juneau Trading Post.
Erin is passionate about working on projects that uplift Indigenous storytellers across all mediums. She began her work on stage, bringing Native plays to life from Alaska to South Dakota. She's performed in such plays as 'Devilfish' by Vera Starbard, 'Whale Song' by Cathy Tagnak Rexford, and 'the road weeps, the well runs dry' by Marcus Gardley. She's also narrated audiobooks like 'Berry Song' by Michaela Goade, 'Blood Sisters' by Vanessa Lillie, and 'Indian Burial Ground' by Nick Medina.
In 2023, Erin was awarded the First People's Fund Artist in Business Leadership fellowship and was selected as a mentee for the Penguin Random House Audio mentorship program.
