I’ve been in a grumpy mood all weekend. I don’t know why exactly… and I made it worse today because, being in a grumpy mood yesterday, I didn’t work on my paper for school – the topic being An Ethical Analysis of a Current Domestic or Global Issue, and normally I love to talk ethics and issues with a capital “I,” but I just was so grumpy, I couldn’t get my interest going – which of course I should have, but I blew it off.
Which meant that I had to do it all today, which led to me missing the Giants game against the Seahawks. Which they lost 36 – 25. And yesterday was Yom Kippur, but I was grumpy, so I blew off going to temple, too, which made me feel terribly guilty, but I grumpily chose to feel guilty rather than do the right thing and go to temple with my parents.

Book: Action Comics #2
Written By: Grant Morrison,
Art By: Rags Morales & Brent Anderson
Publisher: DC Comics
Price: $3.99
Pages: 40
Release Date: Out Now In Stores & Via Digital Download (Comixology)
The #2′s of DC’s New 52 have arrived and what better to star off the month with than Action Comics. The issue picks up shortly after last issues climax, Superman has been captured and is being examined/tortured by Lex Luthor. Lex’s characteristics are spot on and can be summarised at its best from his refusal to acknowledge Superman as a person, deciding to call him “It” rather than “him”. It establishes his cold and calculated persona while setting up the dynamic between him and his new enemy without reverting to a cackling mad scientist.
One moment I enjoyed greatly was the army’s vigorous attempt to damage Superman’s cape and his later need to reclaim his property.

A Year from now will see Spider-Man swinging back into the spotlight and, after endless talk and speculation about this relaunch, we have our first look in the form of an official teaser trailer.
Though not much is revealed regarding the overall story, the tone and style of The Amazing Spider-Man appear to be evident.
The tone is much more brooding than was seen in Sam Raimi's films and the style seems more gritty and sober. While I believe we have The Dark Knight to blame for the current direction of many new adaptations, I welcome a fresh take that ventures away from the typical wisecracking Peter Parker.
Shown in the footage (embedded below) are many of the primary cast - Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen and Rhys Ifans to name a few - as we see Peter's jump from childhood to teenager and the...

I’m really sad about the low ratings Lone Star got for its premiere episode, because I loved the pilot and can’t wait to see more of this show. You should all tune in next week on September 27 for the next new episode of this show, because it has great characters and a really intriguing storyline. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you give it a chance. Fox has released promo photos for the September 27 episode, along with a synopsis, which you can view below.
Suspicions Grow On An All-new “Lone Star” On Monday, September 27, On Fox
In order to ease Clint’s suspicions regarding the new windfarm deal, Bob recruits the man who taught him everything about being a con man to help him with the scheme: his father. Meanwhile, Lindsay begins to realize that she may not know Bob as well as she thought,...

Based on Kurt Busiek's graphic novel series
Working Title Films have snapped up rights to Kurt Busiek's multiple award winning graphic novel series "Astro City."
"Astro City," created by Busiek with artists Brent Anderson and Alex Ross, tells the story of life among the superheroes. While Samaritan, Winged Victory, the Hanged Man and Jack-in-the-Box patrol the skies, protect a city and uphold justice, the 'normal' people have to cope with a life surrounded by danger and wonder, their lives interacting with those of the heroes above.
Winner of twenty Eisner and Harvey Awards since its debut in 1995, the series has long been considered one of the standouts of the comics field, praised for its compelling, nuanced perspective on the superhero genre, illuminating the humanity and inner lives of both the superheroes and the people they protect.

Exclusive: Working Title Films partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner have made a deal to turn Kurt Busiek's graphic novel series Astro City into a live action feature. The deal gives the prolific comic book writer Busiek his first chance to write the script. Launched in 1995, the series has a Sin City anthology vibe, set in a world crammed with superheros and super-villains. Stories are told from the vantage point of those heroes and villains, as well as the humans who get caught between them. Heroes range from Samaritan, The Hanged Man, The Apollo Eleven--a group of astronauts mutated during a moon landing--to Winged Beauty, a feisty feminist who always saves women first. The series has won multiple Eisner and Harvey Awards for Busiek, who created the series with artists Brent Anderson and Alex Ross. Aside from his own comic creations, Busiek has written for Marvel Comics staples like Iron Man,...

The Story: "Strikeforce: Morituri" by Peter B. Gillis (W) and Brent Anderson (A) — Marvel Comics
What It's About: A savage alien race has invaded Earth, and the planet stands on the brink of being conquered. Desperate to save humanity, Earth's scientists create a process for granting superhuman powers to test subjects — but the abilities come with a hefty sacrifice. Anyone who receives the "Morituri Process" (from the Latin phrase "Morituri te salutamus," meaning "We who are about to die salute you!") dies within a year's time.
Heroes are born and die in a matter of moments as humanity sacrifices its best and brightest to stop the aliens' invasion.
Why It Works: As is the case with many of today's most popular television series, the creators of "Strikeforce: Morituri" never shied away from reminding fans of their characters' mortality and the very real danger to each and every one of them...
