Scott Kirkwood(II)
- Actor
- Producer
Scott Kirkwood was always fascinated by obscure and lost or missing media from an early age. He attended Portland State University and helped found a radio station there, where he hosted his own radio show and served as Programming Coordinator before graduating and moving on to the tech industry and other projects.
In 1996 he started his first music-related website, followed by another website devoted to the then-unreleased deleted scenes of the Star Wars films in 1998. In 2003, he founded a new website devoted to the obscure and unloved The Star Wars Holiday Special, which then became the central location for all information about the infamous 1978 TV special. This led to panel appearances at conventions around the world, including Lucasfilm's own Star Wars Celebration.
He began working with director/producers Steve Kozak and Jeremy Coon in 2017 on a new documentary project about The Star Wars Holiday Special, collaborating with the team over the next few years and through the COVID-19 pandemic to produce A Disturbance In The Force: How The Star Wars Holiday Special Happened, which premiered in 2023 at SXSW in Austin.
Scott continues to seek new and interesting projects in the film and media industry, looking forward to future plans ahead.
