Best known for the 2021 stage play and subsequent 2023 film "Battle Cry".
Starting a professional performing career at the age of 17 at the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield in the musical Mermaid.
In 2013 Steve toured the UK and Australia with To Sleep, before a UK tour of The Life We Lived followed in 2016. Also in 2016 Steve played the role of John Proctor in Arthur Millers The Crucible at The Arts Centre in Swindon, as well as the narrator in Sondheims Into the Woods.
In 2017 played the role of Landlord in Jim Cartwright Two for Schoolhouse Productions before joining Stripped Raw for their touring production of This is Living.
In 2019 Steve joined the cast of (Ab)solution at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for Jackrill Productions before Completing the year playing Abanazer for Phoenix Productions pantomime Aladdin.
In 2020, Steve co wrote and developed Battle Cry, a real life story about a man's battle with severe PTSD following a life in the army. The piece premiered in July 2021 to great acclaim before setting off on a UK tour, including London, Edinburgh, Cornwall and Durham.
Battle Cry earned Steve the Best Performance award at Birminghams leading arts festival BirminghamFest as well as numerous award nominations including a Standing Ovation Nomination from London Pub Theatres .
