From its inception in the early part of the genre's history, the fascination and love for the werewolf have persisted quite heavily, making it one of the biggest genre icons and most popular movie monsters concocted over the years. This has led to it being utilized as everything from a rampaging, mindless monster to a dark, philosophical soul capable of layers of metaphorical care underneath the lupine facade. Having attempted something similar with witches several years ago in “Stree,” director Amar Kaushik decides to utilize the legendary creature for a hard-hitting ecological message in his return to the genre with “Bhediya.”

Amar Kaushik’s Bhediya could just be a surprise hit. With this creature film, Amar has kept an impressive balance between horror, thriller, and humour all in one go. Not to forget, this could well be one of Varun Dhawan’s best performance. Bhediya could also set an example of concentrating more on engaging narrative and not falling prey to highlighting the hero as in case of most Hindi films.
Plot: The story begins with Bhaskar (Varun Dhawan) getting a road development contract to build a highway through the dense jungles of Ziro in Arunachal. He takes his cousin Guddu (Abhishek Banerjee), preparing for Ias exams, for company. The duo is later joined by their friend Jomin (Paalin Kabak), a localite. A wolf in need is a friend indeed! Bhediya’s latest track sees Varun Dhawan and his trusted wolfpack set out on a special road trip with a cosy vintage car for company. ‘Baaki Sab Theek’ is a quirky melody that features Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee and Paalin Kabak driving through the serene roads of Arunachal as they hum the groovy tune. The song perfectly captures the camaraderie and bond between the three friends. The age old Maruti 800 used by them also sparks a bout of nostalgia.
The most unique part about the track is its funky lingo that is on fleek with the whole ‘road trip with buddies’ vibe.
Talking about the song, composers Sachin-Jigar say, “Baaki Sab Theek is a young and fresh tune with a cool and casual mood.Song speaks of so many cool things u might do to kill time On long road trip ! Next...
