A Teen Wolf reunion is coming soon to Superman & Lois: Ian Bohen is set to join the high-flying superhero for a multi-episode arc in Season 2, our sister site Deadline first reported.
Bohen (who co-starred in the wolf-y teen drama with Superman lead Tyler Hoechlin) will play Lt. Mitch Anderson, the “new sheriff in town” at the Department of Defense. He categorizes the world’s inhabitants in just two groups: those you serve and those who serve you. Anderson resents the fact that Superman exists outside of his philosophy, and will attempt to bring the Man of Steel under the Dod’s authority.

We got news of a Teen Wolf movie last week, and now we have confirmation that two of its stars will be reuniting before the movie even premieres.
Score, right?
According to Deadline, Ian Bohen has joined the cast of Superman & Lois Season 2, where he will star alongside Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Clark Kent.
The outlet teases that Bohen will take on the role of Lt. Mitch Anderson, the new person in charge of the Dod following Samuel Lane's exit.
"His worldview divides into two types – those you serve and those who serve you," according to the outlet.
"He doesn’t like that Superman exists outside that paradigm and tries to bring the Man of Steel under his authority officially."
This is especially exciting because Hoechlin played Derek Hale on Teen Wolf, and Bohen played his uncle, Peter Hale.

The recent Top 5 on our picks of the Most Extreme Films went down rather well with you, our Nerdly audience, so we thought we’d bring you another Top 5 – this time looking at the Top 5 Cursed Films… in no particular order may I add! Check out the list below and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Opera Mortem
Written and directed by English painter David Fleas, Opera Mortem was apparently filmed over almost 10 years, in super-8 mm and VHS no less, and screened only one time in the 1973 at the Nottingham’s Odeon Film Theatre. Described as weird, trippy, filled with graphic blood, sex, and black magical ritualistic symbols, Opera Mortem – and its 1973 screening – are “believed” to be cursed; with reports of fires in projection booths, people dying after seeing it, riots… you name it, Opera Mortem reportedly caused it. Undoubtedly due to all the satanic symoblism within it!

Superman & Lois Episode 14
Since the very first episode, Leslie Larr has been a menacing and mysterious presence on Superman & Lois. The shining example of Morgan Edge’s plan to take over human bodies with Kryptonian souls (and powers) has been portrayed as everything from a loyal corporate right hand to a Kryptonian powerhouse capable of doing Edge’s dirty work to (in the latest episode) someone who can go toe-to-toe with a hero like Steel in a dramatic late season fight scene.
But for Stacey Farber, who plays Larr, it all started off with a simple character description before an audition, one which she actually reads to me from an old email as we begin our interview.
“Leslie. Thirties. The right hand to one of the most influential people on the planet. She’s gone from a young, idealistic dreamer to a hardened,...

Morgan Edge is one crafty individual.
The supervillain's mission became ever clearer on Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 9, and the stage is set for a thrilling final part of Superman & Lois Season 1.
If you watch Superman & Lois online, you know Morgan has been a pivotal part of these opening episodes, building an army to do his bidding, but the last thing I expected was the episode-ending reveal that he is Kal-El's brother and has been on Earth for the same amount of time.
There is still much we don't know about Morgan and his plans, but Superman & Lois is poised to be the answer-filled outing we've all been waiting for.

As we wait an announcement pertaining to the existence of NetherRealm Studios’ Injustice 3, we at least know that Warner Bros. is set to adapt the games into a DC animated movie.
Ever since its release in 2013, the Injustice franchise has not only become a staple of NetherRealm’s roster, but the comic spinoffs have made it a beloved part of the DC multiverse. The plot revolves around a reality where the Joker was able to mess with Superman so badly that the Man of Steel gradually became a mass-murdering dictator, with the support of several members of the Justice League. Left without any other option, Batman brought in counterparts of the Justice League from the “mainstream” universe to help him fight a civil war against his former friend. It was a story that merged the Justice Lords two-parter from the Justice League cartoon with Marvel’s original Squadron Supreme comic series.

Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Batman and…Alfred? The world of superheroes is filled with iconic love affairs. However, one of the more under-the-radar, fan-favorite pairings that have existed in the comics and on TV but have yet to grace live-action is the relationship between Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. The duo is a fairly recent addition to the hallowed halls of comic book romance, but fans absolutely adore the pairing of the two sometimes-villains in the DC universe.

(This article contains some spoilers for “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” but only for the two scenes with Martian Manhunter)
For regular folks who sit down and watch “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” — as in, not die-hard fans of DC Comics — there’s one brand-new character in the Snyder Cut that will no doubt cause some confusion: That weird shapeshifting green guy who disguised himself as Martha Kent for a scene with Lois Lane, and then had a weird chat with Batman at the end. His name is J’onn J’onzz, but he’s better known as the Martian Manhunter.
While almost all of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” was built from footage that Snyder shot when the film was originally in production in 2016 and 2017, there were two major additions: Another vision of an apocalyptic future for Batman, and Harry Lennix as Martian Manhunter. These bits were shot specifically for this HBO Max release.

An unprecedented time. An unprecedented opportunity. An army of persuasive fans.
And one very colorful, newly-shot scene.
After four years, director Zack Snyder returns to the Dceu to complete his vision.
It’s a new era. Superman (Henry Cavill) is dead and a new villain channeling a very old evil has arrived. Honoring Superman’s sacrifice, Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) must not only work together, but also unite an unlikely group of heroes – Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) — to fight Steppenwolf, an eight-foot-tall warrior from the nightmare world of Apokolips who wants to conquer not only the Earth’s population but the planet’s entire existence.

A dead Batman, Superman takes over the Justice League and Wonder Woman battles Darkseid … Zack Snyder has revealed his vision for a five-movie plan. Pity it’ll probably never happen
The idea that Zack Snyder is a visionary still doesn’t sit quite right, even following his surprisingly excellent Justice League re-cut. After all, this is the director of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a movie that always seemed as if it had been named by the marketing department and only then sent to the scriptwriter. Was Snyder’s Batman always intended from the start to be a brutish, gun-toting meanie? Or was he forced to reimagine him that way because somebody at DC was determined to see Kal-El and the Dark Knight battle it out on the big screen? It is hard to imagine Michael Keaton or Christian Bale’s good-hearted superheroes suddenly deciding to destroy the last son of Krypton.

Being a parent is tough, but extending the rope and showing your kids you have faith in them goes a long way.
A trip to the past on Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 5 showed Clark a path forward in his attempt to help Jonathan through his funk.
Despite both kids having issues with the move to Smallville, Jonathan struck me as the teen who would settle into the swing of things the easiest.
Jonathan has felt out of place ever since he learned Jordan had superhero abilities. Then, Jordan becoming the star football player made him feel even more alienated.
Eliza dumping him was yet another setback and in this case it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
While Clark could have played the strict parent and grounded Jonathan for days on end, it was nice how he thought about the way Martha treated him when he was a teenager.

The most gabbed-about pop culture event of, well, at least this past weekend was Zack Snyder’s “Justice League,” made available in its full, nearly-four-hour vision on HBO Max on March 18. It’s now restored from the supposed hack job done upon the project by Joss Whedon once he stepped in for the original 2017 release. And while releasing the Snyder Cut was key to HBO Max’s path to the 150 million subscribers it needs to be a leading force in streaming, that doesn’t mean we’re going to be seeing more “Justice League” movies anytime soon.
Snyder recently revealed that Warner Bros. hasn’t expressed any inclination toward making more movies with him, and to that point, it does seem the studio is taking its DC Extended Universe in a different direction: “Justice League” cast members like Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill aren’t reappearing in upcoming reboots of “The Batman” and “Superman,...

(Below you will find spoilers for the Joker’s new scene in “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”)
While nearly all of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” is made up of footage he shot for the film when Zack Snyder was working on it the first time, there are two exceptions: The stuff involving the Martian Manhunter, and a new apocalyptic Knightmare vision of the future that features none other than Jared Leto’s Joker.
In the trailer for “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” Leto’s Joker made waves for uttering a phrase — “we live in a society” — that originated with memes about the Joker. The fact that the trailer ended on that bit meant it quickly became the main topic of conversation about the Snyder cut that day.
“We live in a society,” the Joker said, with a long pause before finishing the sentence, “where honor is a distant memory.”

This article contains spoilers for Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
There’s a whole lot going on at the end of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. For fans of Zack Snyder who were always on board with his unique vision for the DC Universe, the movie is a four hour feast, a celebration, and a vindication…but it ends with a tease for a Justice League 2 that promises to be even more intense and weighty than the director’s existing Dceu trilogy that began with Man of Steel.
The Justice League epilogue is perhaps the most buzzy and infamous part of the Snyder Cut. It’s the only portion of the movie that was shot completely fresh during the reshoots that took place in late 2020. It notoriously features the return of Jared Leto as the Joker, his first turn in the role since his appearance in 2016’s Suicide Squad movie.

The release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a moment that belongs to the fans who petitioned for years to not just see a more definitive version of 2017’s Justice League but director Zack Snyder‘s complete vision for a Justice League film.
While the discourse over the quality of that vision will wage on, our own critic suggests that Snyder doesn’t quite achieve his goals for a Justice League film much less the idea of a live-action Justice League film so good that it somehow becomes hard to imagine that idea ever being done better. Perhaps some of those shortcomings can be attributed to the unique nature of his cut’s development and release, but there’s still a feeling that Snyder is chasing something he may not have the chance to catch.

Let it be said that to the very end, Zack Snyder did it his way. In an era where superhero entertainment, and all other branded media, is shaped by what conference rooms think fans want, Snyder somehow pushed through a transgressive view of DC icons like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman that was brooding, unsettling… and memorable. Fans certainly haven’t forgotten Snyder’s self-described “deconstructionist” Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or that it was meant to carry onward into Justice League.
It’s that diehard loyalty among true believers which did the seeming impossible: It made a media conglomerate walk back its decision to lighten and truncate a director’s vision. Almost four years after Joss Whedon dramatically changed the tone and tenor of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the Snyder Cut has debuted on HBO Max. And whatever...

Zack Snyder superhero movies are the black licorice of cinema: Those who like the taste can’t understand why everyone doesn’t, and those who don’t like the taste grimace at the thought. And now the streaming wars and online clamor have brought us “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” It’s four hours of black licorice.

Parsing the cultural event of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” otherwise known as the Snyder Cut, may require a PhD in the legitimization of fan culture over the past 25 years. Yet even consideration of its quality requires a fair degree of context.
On one level, the four hours and six parts (plus one interminable 30-minute epilogue) in this bizarre refashioning of old material is . Yet the overall arc of this “Justice League” coheres throughout, providing occasional dashes of intrigue and inspired visual conceits, and sometimes it’s even fun. Re-centering the drama around ostracized actor Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and drawing out some of the ostentatious fight sequences to their breaking point, “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” displays genuine effort to make this impossible gamble click.
All of that stands in mighty contrast to the crap-tastic version finished by Joss Whedon in 2017, when Snyder left the project due to his teen daughter...

When fans gathered beneath the “#ReleaseTheSnyderCut” billboard at San Diego Comic-Con a few years ago, a finished version of Zack Snyder’s Justice League didn’t exist. Sure, there was a rough edit the director kept for his own collection, saving it from Warner Bros. after being effectively replaced by Joss Whedon during reshoots in 2017. But with unfinished effects, no music, and apparently little polish, this version turned out to be a glorified assembly cut which contained everything, plus the kitchen sink. Yet that fact mattered little to fans who demanded more—more movie, more Snyder, and ultimately more content.
Well, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, as it’s now called, is here. And if more content is what you really want, you’re about to be submerged up to your eyeballs in it. With a running time of just over four hours, the Snyder Cut is four minutes longer...

This Superman & Lois review contains spoilers.
Superman and Lois Episode 3
“Morrissey’s a xenophobic has-been.”
This one line, delivered with deadpan perfection by Alex Garfin’s Jordan Kent pretty much sums up why Superman & Lois episode 3 is so good. Wait, really? Yes, stay with me for a minute…
I loved the first two episodes of Superman & Lois. There’s no question about that. But there was a very slight nagging feeling in the back of my mind, that maybe this show was going to be a little too serious for its own good. That maybe in the process of making Jonathan and Jordan Kent as believable as possible, and as “relatable” to young audiences as they needed to be, that the show would end up trying just a little too hard, get a little more wrapped up in its “family drama, but with Superman” high concept than it strictly needed to,...
