Kobe Bryant was a basketball legend and known far and wide. But yes, sometimes his attitude is something else. That unbothered vibe of his? It can be a killer. One memorable incident involving a basketball player occurred during a game.
Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant is seen during the first half of an NBA basketball game against the Philadelphia 76ers in Philadelphia, US, 2015 (credit: Matt Slocum/Associated Press)
Picture this: Bryant, cool as ice, ignored comedian Chris Rock’s jokes during a game. It’s one of those moments that sticks with you, right? It shows just how sharp the 41-year-old’s focus can be, even off the court.
Kobe Bryant’s One Of The Freezing Moments In History
Kobe Bryant’s legacy stretched far beyond the basketball court with unforgettable moments, including one where he ignored comedian Chris Rock. Throughout his career, Bryant embodied competitiveness, driven solely by winning.

Given that she’s already pretty open about her life through her songs lyrics, Taylor Swift didn’t have much trouble inviting Vogue into her home for a round of 73 questions earlier this spring.
The “Love Story” songstress gave the magazine a tour of her gorgeous abode as she rattled off honest answers to a whole host of different queries.
Some of Taylor’s highlights include:
-The first song she learned to play on the guitar? “Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer.”
-Something that recently moved her emotionally? “The movie ‘The Martian.’”
-The first thing she does when she gets an idea for a song? “I record a voice memo of myself singing it or I write it down in my notes.”
-Shortest song to write- “Blank Space.”
-Longest song to write- “All Too Well.”
-Drive-thru meal- “Cheeseburger, fries, chocolate shake.”
-Favorite food (if calories didn’t count)- “Chicken tenders.

It’s no secret that top athletes are paid well – very well. The world’s sporting heroes benefit from astronomical contracts, lucrative endorsement deals, and eye-watering winnings, but who scooped the biggest collective pay packet in 2015?
Thanks to Forbes, we’ve compiled the highest paid athletes of the year just gone. If there’s one particularly interesting feature of this list, it’s the sheer variety of characters on show. From 6’8″ basketballing bulldozers to diminutive soccer stars, ageing veterans to hot young talents, and squeaky-clean professionals to outspoken controversy-courters, it’s clear that financial success in sports caters to all types.
However, if there’s one glaringly obvious trend from this list, it’s the lack of women. Not a single female athlete charted in the top 25, although tennis superstar Maria Sharapova did rank 26th. This could be set to change in the coming year, as...

Born on 8th October, 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Bruno Mars is one of the biggest and best-selling male vocalists of modern times. The multi-talented singer songwriter is known for his vocal, paino, drum and guitar work and his lively showmanship, inspired by masters like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and a high energy similar to James Brown.
At the age of 29, he has currently been nominated for 13 Grammy’s, winning two and in 2011 he made the prestigious Time 100 list by Time Magazine. Not only a talent singer/songwriter, Mars also turned his attention to launching the Selvarey Rum brand, which includes white and cocoa rums.
Mars would hit the big time early in his life with his first album Doo Wops and Hooligans in 2010, where the lead single ‘Just The Way You Are’ would reach number 1 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He would continue his success with songs like...

Some would say 1999's She's All That, starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook (back when they were very much all that), already had a sort-of remake with 2001's Not Another Teen Movie. But not according to Hollywood! The Wrap reports that a remake of the Pygmalion-inspired rom-com is in the works, with Kenny Leon directing and Spike Lee's wife producing — which hopefully means we'll see some black actors in lead roles rather than swagless token friends and campus DJs (remember Usher?!). None of this matters, of course, unless the remake can somehow top the original's theme song, Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me." What a gem.Update: BuzzFeed's Emily Orley says The Weinstein Co. and Mirimax have not reached a deal for a She's All That reboot. We can breathe again .. for now.

Taylor Swift, a woman of many moods and exactly one lipstick, just threw down the third video from her blockbuster album "1989." "Style" is a slow throb, a pleasant recollection of quaint memories with a cute boy who resembles James Dean. This is a big deal because Taylor Swift loves James Dean and knows all of his posters. The video is a B- effort full of familiar Swift sentimentalism. Let's take a walk through a gallery of "Style" and see what kinds of artistic insights we come up with. Just as I suspected, Taylor Swift's innermost feelings -- when revealed -- look like Britney Spears' "Sometimes" video. All this girl wants to do is run around with a pink ball and wear white midriff sweaters on the pier. Duh. Moodz. It's kind of weird that we have a superstar who takes most of her visual cues from that Sixpence None the Richer song.

The French New Wave, that cinematic movement from the 1960s that essentially defined iconoclasm for film, has undoubtedly had its impact on nearly everything, from film to music to style. And given its indelible impact on cultural history, it’s one of the easiest artistic movements to pull from, as demonstrated from three key music videos inspired by, ripped off from, and celebrating the auteurs from Godard to Truffaut.
“Dancing with Myself” – Nouvelle Vague
There’s a bit of irony and wordplay going on here. First, the band’s name is Nouvelle Vague, nodding to both the French New Wave and the New Wave in music during the 1980s. Then there’s the name of the album that the French cover band chose to use: Bande à Part, from the Jean-Luc Godard film of the same name. Then there’s the actual music video. Rather than go about “creating” a music video for their single,...

The 90s revival can’t be ignored any longer. The nostalgia is in full bloom right now: walk down the high street and you’ll see 90s-inspired crop tops and stonewashed denim in every shop window, while current cool kids Iggy Azalea and Charli Xcx (neither of whom were old enough to see the film at the time) have paid slavish tribute to Clueless in the video for their current single Fancy. We’ve already pillaged the ‘80s for all they were worth and now, apparently, it’s time to start excavating the 90s. No matter how old that makes us feel.

Cue the cheesy music, slow motion entrance, and instant popularity- it’s the classic movie makeover! Yeah, yeah, we know the most important lesson in life is that what’s on the inside matters, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, etc. etc. but we can’t get to the moral of the story without a makeover montage that really teaches us the lesson to come. Right?
There are countless teen movies and rom-coms where we see beasts turn to babes and zeros to heroes, and as corny as they may be, they’re still entertaining as hell. While most times, we see the protagonist undergo this change to get the guy/girl or for popularity (on Wednesdays, we wear pink), some are for those outgrowing a phase of life, such as shy student turned royal princess or a hooker turned… not a hooker.

This Sunday night, the Denver Broncos take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl Xlviii (that’s 48 in case you don’t know Roman Numerals).
It’s a matchup of a Broncos team that scored more points in a single NFL season in the history of the game. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are the best defensive team in the league.
Can Peyton Manning lead the Broncos to the Super Bowl as he goes for his second Super Bowl trophy or can the Richard Sherman-led Seahawks defense come out on top?
It’s an even matchup between two teams that finished first in their conferences in the regular season and were favored to be in this game all year long.
Let’s look at some of the things to watch.

The year was 1999, and it felt like anything could happen: Following a string of successful teen films in 1998, the teen era was officially back. To help kick things off in the final year before the Millennium was She’s All That, a sleeper hit that featured an ensemble cast, including Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook. The film told the story of a girl with a ponytail, Laney (Cook), who became the subject of a bet that Zack’s (Prinze Jr.) scheme to turn any girl into prom queen. The success of She’s All That introduced fans to a pre-Fast & The Furious Paul Walker, made Prinze the most desirable young man in Hollywood, and thanks to the iconic scene of Cook walking down the stairs in a little red dress, everyone was singing Sixpence None The Richer‘s “Kiss Me.”

As many iTunes lovers and Youtube fanatics understand, music (old and new) has become a huge factor on hit television shows and both the show and artists featured benefit from the collaboration. Ever YouTube a certain scene from your favorite show for hours on end? Did it have a catchy song that you immediately downloaded? Yes, the odds are that you have.
Television show soundtracks are an obsession over here and the music played make that specific scene that much more memorable. Take Dawson's Creek, for example. Its theme song (and our favorite show song to date) put singer Paula Cole on the map. It also also continues to remind fans everywhere of Pacey, Joey and Dawson when the song comes on the radio. You know, the good ole' days when the kids just walked on the beach, not arguing just yet about a love triangle or who's going to...

"Nemesis" held such promise to be a provocative Perception episode that really delved into the psyche of Daniel Pierce while revealing to Kate Moretti news of his un-medicated schizophrenia.
That sounds like juicy drama, right?
But while Perception promos (they really can be misleading, can't they?) seemed to point towards Moretti confronting Pierce about his struggles, the real focus of the episode centered around a murdered judge.
Which could have proven interesting enough given that the prime suspect had schizophrenia. Granted, it was far worse than we've seen Pierce experience, what with complete delusions and an utter break with reality, but isn't that the point? To show what Pierce could become?
It was nice seeing Jonathan Tucker back on TV and he really captured that loss of sanity wrapped inside the mind of a protector. I may still wish he was on The Black Donellys and even enjoyed his stint on Parenthood,...

The season finale of Happy Endings featured a quintessential Happy Endings joke in Max's all-male Madonna cover band Mandonna — poppy, slightly but not totally ironic, connected but not quite essential to the main plot of the episode. A treat if ever there were one! But according to executive producers David Caspe and Jonathan Groff, Mandonna almost didn't happen. "Getting Madonna and her publishers and representatives to agree to let us use 'Like a Prayer' was a long process," Groff tells EW. "So we had to simultaneously prepare for Max being in another cover band. Max was gonna have been in a Sixpence None the Richer cover band and perform 'Kiss Me,'" he says. Not all the fun would have been lost, though, Caspe says. "The name was gonna be Sex Pants None the Richer."...
