Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Box Office Collection Day 1 Vs Shahid Kapoor’s 1st Opening Day – Stats (Picture Credit: IMDb & Youtube)
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has opened to mixed responses at the box office, and as per speculations, the film is expected to open in the range of 6 – 7 crore. Produced by Maddock Films, the rom-com has arrived to tap into the Valentine’s season with a cliched romance that might or might not be liked by the audiences.
However, the film is expected to milk the opportunity since it has been a long time since audiences have enjoyed a normal rom-com, probably the last one being Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani‘s SatyaPrem Ki Katha in 2023. So, Shahid & Kriti have the expectations soaring.
Interestingly, we turned back to the record book of box office numbers to see how the actor fared...

Sharing a few pictures from the sets of the film, Imran captioned: “No sob stories, and no excuses here. I freaking Loved Delhi Belly. Every single day that we worked on that film, I was sure of two things; first, that it was a once-in-a-lifetime movie, the kind that you feel lucky to be a part of. “
He then revealed how he did some “method acting”.
“And second, that there was no way the censor board would ever let us release this thing. I’m glad I was only wrong on the second count!

Saif Ali Khan who will next be seen in Kaalakaandi, had injured his thumb while shooting the wedding song of the film, ‘Kaala Doreya’. The song, which is part of a wedding scene in the film has a special performance by Akshay Oberoi and Amyra Dastur with Saif Ali Khan joining in with his funny moves.
At the end of the song, Saif was required to shoot a gun in the air. The team was using a real gun with dummy bullets. Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming thrilling dark comedy Kaalakaandi revolves around one night where the lives of different people come together. To make this seem even more real, Director Akshat Verma thought it would be best to shoot the film in real locations in and around the streets of Mumbai.
Saif Ali Khan said, “I think Mumbai is really cinematic, and Akshat has shown it wonderfully. Bandra particularly has a lot of character and personality. You feel it’s shot in a real place and you feel that instant connect to the place. Otherwise when you only shoot on set, and don’t really know where the film is. So here one can tell that it’s got a grounding and reality like Mumbai, which is amazing because you feel the connection with all the characters more so because you know where they live.”

Having done a phenomenal job on the screenplay of Delhi Belly, Akshat Verma is gearing up for the release of his upcoming directorial venture Kaalakaandi.
The film comprises of an extremely talented bunch of actors including Saif Ali Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Vijay Raaz, Deepak Dobriyal, Akshay Oberoi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in a special appearance.
Working with an ensemble cast could be challenging, but Akshat did it with ease. In fact he had a great time bonding with all of them. “The most interesting thing about working with an ensemble cast is that every day is unpredictable because all these actors have a different way of working, a different way of approaching their scenes and also a different pace to how they come at it.”
“It serves to keep me on my toes in terms of how to configure my direction style to what they would bring.

One year ago I wrote an Open Letter to the Men of India to describe what it was like growing up as a woman in India. The letter went viral within 24 hours. My phone rang non-stop, while it was trending on Fb and Twitter. TV stations camped outside my home in Bandra.
My family was upset that I had dragged them into this media frenzy. I was asked to leave my parents house (and then taken back).
BBC worldwide covered it. Every website and paper in India carried it, it was bigger than anything I had ever done – MTV, my films, nothing compared to this… The letter was bigger than me.
I was accused of orchestrating a publicity stunt. My character was attacked and my choice of films (i.e. Delhi Belly) were called into question.
People took sides on social media and in real life. I...

The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore premiered Monday, and despite taking over from Stephen Colbert's Colbert Report timeslot, Wilmore simply plays himself – or a more exhausted-by-it-all version thereof.
It's hard to blame him, really.
Originally titled The Minority Report, the satirical news show is more similar to Jon Stewart's Daily Show, but with a focus on issues important to people of color – a debut that's especially prescient in light of Ferguson and the Eric Garner case.
Now may be the perfect time for a show like Wilmore's, where people of color are given a mainstream venue to air their grievances.

Comedy Central late-night premiere discussion on protests was a stark contrast from Stephen Colbert’s buffoonery
Larry Wilmore’s replacement for “The Colbert Report” debuted on Martin Luther King Jr. Day after “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, and it marked a notable departure in tone. Whereas Colbert’s comedic alter ego was a blustering buffoon, Wilmore was all about “keeping it 100,” or keeping it real.
While there were jokes and humorous moments, for the most part his was a far more serious affair than either “Colbert” or Jon Stewart‘s “Daily Show.”

Let’s be clear: The only thing Real Time The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore has in common with The Colbert Report is its timeslot.
There’s no over-the-top character here, no mock interview — at least not in Monday’s debut episode — and absolutely no beating around the bush. “A brother finally gets a show on latenight TV, but of course, he has to work on Martin Luther King Day,” host Larry Wilmore quipped before introducing the night’s theme: the apparent ineffectiveness of racial protesting.

It all started early December when Shenaz Treasury wrote an open letter to Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Anil Ambani. Titled 'It's Not Our Shame, It's Theirs', she came up with a heartfelt account of living as a female in the country. Even as the letter went viral with millions of views and hundreds of thousands of comments coming in, there were also countless accusations of this being a publicity stunt for her film Main Aur Mr. Riight. As has turned out, Shenaz has taken the cause much further than the release (and quick disappearance) of the film. She has just launched an online blog where she is inviting letters, stories, pictures and suggestions on the topic. Says Shenaz, "At 12:30 Am on the night of December 10, after watching the news, I marched to computer and typed out an angry letter and posted it on Facebook.

Dear Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Anil Ambani,
I am writing to You specifically because you are the most powerful and influential Men in our country.
I am writing to you as a woman who grew up in a middle class family in Mumbai.
I am writing to You for Help!
My parents may not like me saying this. I apologize to them if they are reading but this is Not My Shame. It’s Thier Shame.
My first experience with the opposite sex, was when I was just 13 and groped by a man (never saw his face but will never forget his hand) while walking in the vegetable market with my mom. She had just given me the worst haircut and as an angry teenager I was upset at her and was lagging behind as she walked ahead.

Whilst red carpet events are always exciting for fashion enthusiasts, style and beauty awards come with their own higher level of intrigue. The pressure to make a splash on the carpet and be noted on fashion columns across the platform is slightly higher. Vogue Beauty Awards is one such event that we watch out for every year. 2013 had its share young ladies making heads turn on the red carpet, some in a good way and some in perhaps not the way they intended.

Sporting Sabyasachi on the night was Adhuna Akhtar. Considering ladies tend to opt for his obvious Indian attires it was great to see one of his pret pieces on the red carpet. Unfortunately its not one I’m too fond of. Kudos on the styling but sadly Adhuna just couldn’t make this design work no matter what the styling.
