One of the short films in the showcase will be All We Have Is Time, a sci-fi drama written and directed by Masters student Fraser Pemberton.
He describes it as a project that meditates on the concept of time.
”In Melbourne we’ve all experienced the days blending together and feeling like we’re caught in a time loop,” he tells If.
In a normal year Pemberton would have put this project long behind him, with production held back for seven months. He and his fellow students were writing films while unsure as to when they could begin and...

‘The Chase’.
The Seven Network has commissioned Beat the Chasers, a spin-off of game show The Chase that will see contestants taking on four Chasers at once – The Supernerd, Goliath, The Tiger Mum and The Shark – for a prize pool of over $500,000.
To be produced by ITV Studios Australia and hosted by Andrew O’Keefe, the show is based on a UK format created by Potato, part of and distributed by ITV Studios.
Seven Network programming director Angus Ross said: “The Chase has proven unbeatable at 5.00pm, so we can’t wait to supersize it with Beat The Chasers. The prize money is bigger than ever before in each round, and it builds to a thrilling, high-stakes finale.”
“We’re excited to see some of the country’s best brains test themselves against a formidable line-up of Chasers, with all the fun, tension and play-along we love – but dialed up to eleven.

Santiago Segura’s “Father There Is Only One 2” has punched €2.14 million ($2.5 million) across its first five days in Spain over July 29-Aug. 2, according to Comscore, maintaining its bid to become Europe’s first Covid-19 era blockbuster.
With some cinema theater takings still to come in, the box office trawl is at least 21% up on opening figures for the family comedy franchise’s first installment, which went on to become Spain’s biggest movie release of 2019, earning a final €14.2 million ($16.1 million) from an Aug. 1 bow.
This year’s opening box office has been made on one more day at the box office, with the sequel bowing on a Wednesday, and the first installment on a Thursday. But “Father 2” grossed $2.5 million from 23% fewer screens in Spain, according to Comscore — some movie theaters remain closed because of Covid-19 — and largely over a weekend that caught many Spaniards going on or returning from vacation.

Larry Emdur has been connected to a revamped version of The Price is Right. The breakfast television presenter, who currently hosts The Morning Show alongside Kylie Gillies, is believed to be in talks to front the old game show when it returns after the original host Ian Turpie passed away last week. According to The Daily Telegraph, The Price is Right is scheduled to air on weekday evenings on the Seven Network later this year. Andrew O'Keefe has revealed that he feels "restless" in his job as host of Deal or No Deal. The star, who has three children with wife Eleanor, said that he likes spending time at home so would have to quit one of his current roles if he ever wanted to take on a new television project. O'Keefe has presented Deal or No Deal for eight years, and has also hosted Weekend Sunrise alongside Samantha Armytage since 2006. He told National Features: "I've got a young family, so I have been quite happy to do what I know how to do and not stretch myself too far. I can't do any more than I am doing for fear of cannibalising one or other of the projects through over-exposure. "I'm getting to the point where a certain restlessness is setting in, [but] in order (more)...
