Fast and Furious has a very dedicated following. Fans have been following the world of Dominic Toretto since 2001 and have become increasingly obsessed with each movie that comes out. Throughout its ten films, they have been collecting A-list stars like Infinity Stones, adding actors like Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, John Cena, and Jason Momoa.

Deemed one of the greatest actors in Hollywood, Denzel Washington exudes a classic movie star aura. Renowned for his enduring charm and the seamless blend of irony and sincerity in his iconic roles, Washington embodies the timeless essence of a Hollywood legend. He is also known for avoiding the franchise films, with the notable exception of The Equalizer trilogy.
A still from The Equalizer trilogy | Sony Pictures
He has also been commended for the same by being named the second-highest-grossing actor to not star in a franchise, following the Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio. However, Washington did not seem to mind the ranking, as he responded with a touch of wit.
Denzel Washington Has no Issues Losing to Leonardo DiCaprio
In a conversation with ScreenRant, Denzel Washington expressed his disinterest in sequels and potential franchise films, as he highlighted his approach of focusing on each film individually rather than considering potential sequels.

Alan Ritchson is a force of nature in Prime Video's "Reacher," where he delivers a compelling, book-accurate performance of the titular drifter with a penchant for solving crimes. Ritchson balances Reacher's brute strength with the perfect amount of vulnerability, painting him as a man fiercely dedicated to the cause, willing to evolve as a person when the situation demands so. While Reacher is perhaps one of his best roles so far, Ritchson's career is marked with performances that need to be highlighted, given how often they tend to be overlooked.
Before Ritchson started playing buff dudes who could beat up anyone in the room, he embodied a diverse range of characters on both the big and small screens. Ritchson started his career with a recurring guest role in the DC Comics series "Smallville," where he played Arthur Curry/Aquaman — a role he reprised when he voiced the character in the animated film,...

It's always hard to say goodbye to a show you've grown to love. It's even harder to imagine a television superteam landscape without the unpredictable, over-the-top, completely unapologetic hijinks of the Doom Patrol.
After three and a half seasons of flatulent donkeys, time travel, interdimensional shenanigans, sex ghosts, puppets, and freakin' were-butts, our misfit superbeings are wrapping up their adventures and facing off against their greatest challenge yet -- old age. Oh, and someone called Immortus.
Doom Patrol Season 4 returns on Max on October 12 with a double-decker wallop of a premiere. I'd recommend you prepare yourself, but there's really no way to prepare for what's coming.
When last we left our intrepid team, Rita, Jane, and Larry had lost their longevity. Rouge and Rita had returned to the Ant Farm and learned that Wally Sage was the puppetmaster behind the rise of Immortus.

Science fiction fans remember the last four months of 2002 as a blessed but bedeviled time. "Firefly" became a 14-episode phenomenon, dead in the water before the season ended, but eternal in the hearts of its viewers. Their passion managed the impossible, reviving the show for a big-screen send-off in "Serenity" and several canonical comic book miniseries. To this day, crafters knit their own loving reconstructions of Jayne's remarkably orange hat. A Malcolm Reynolds -- or five -- can be found at any Sf convention, or recreated in video games by players aiming to misbehave.

I am not a gearhead, so I have always looked at the Fast and the Furious franchise from a distance. But their popularity makes them hard to avoid. Fast X, the tenth installment in the series, arrives on disc and streaming this week from Universal Home Entertainment and no doubt entertains those who have been there from the beginning.
As with any franchise with multiple chapters, there’s the core set of characters and then all the supporting players who drop in and out of these chapters as needed. And, to keep things interesting, new players are added, usually the antagonist and maybe a new ally or frenemy.
Here, we have the sociopathic Dante (Jason Momoa) seeking vengeance on Dom (Vin Diesel) for the death of his father (Joaquim de Almeida) a decade earlier, as depicted in Fast Five. With seemingly limitless cash and men at his disposal, he has...

Starting today, you can already find Fast X available on digital. One of the movie’s newest addition to the ensemble is Reacher star Alan Ritchson. The rising star not only leads the popular series for Prime Video, but Ritchson has also signed a three-picture deal with the studio. One of the upcoming films under this deal is a holiday heist comedy from director Adam Shankman titled The Man with the Bag. Shankman is known for comedies such as Hairspray and Bringing Down the House.
The synopsis for The Man with the Bag, according to Deadline, outlines that the film “picks up following the theft of Santa’s magic bag, as he turns to his naughty list to find Vance (Ritchson), a former thief who will help him get it back. Along with his daughter, Santa and a group of misfit elves, Vance will have to pull off the greatest...

Contains spoilers for "Fast X"
The ethos of the "Fast and Furious" franchise is best summed up with one word: family. In the beginning, it was all about fast cars and evading the law. But around the fifth movie or so, the concept of family became the motivating force of the narrative, outweighing any previous allegiance to money or thrills (though the thrills never left).
"Fast X" is one of the most family-centric of all the "Fast" movies, even if it does separate the clan for much of its runtime. Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) abuelita, played by the legendary Rita Moreno, shows up at the start of the film to remind Dom that family matters more than anything. And then there's Dom's son, Little Brian (Leo Abelo Perry), for whom Dom wants to provide a better life free of all the hardships he's experienced.

Many movies are only as good as their villain. So it goes with the "Fast and Furious" franchise that has somehow managed to produce 11 films (and counting) despite lukewarm success in the bad guy category. Our heroes, led by Vin Diesel's fearless Dominic Toretto, have gone toe-to-toe with a staggering collection of veteran actors with mixed results, often achieving victory relatively quickly in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Thankfully, a handful of notable evil-doers in the "Fast Saga" stand out amongst the fleet and punch above the script on the way to bad-guy glory. With the new "Fast X" driving over box office records, we thought it'd be prudent to run through the entire series and separate the villains who kicked it into fifth gear from those stuck on neutral. So, we present all the villains in the "Fast and Furious" franchise (including Jason Momoa) ranked from worst...

The villain of Louis Leterrier's new film "Fast X" is a foppish chaos agent named Dante, played with aplomb by handsome superstar Jason Momoa. Dante is the son of Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), the drug kingpin villain from "Fast Five," and he is on a quest to avenge his father's death. Dante, however, is an energetic Joker-like kook who is more interested in harassing and torturing Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) than merely killing him. His plans don't stand up to scrutiny -- how could Dante have known that the heroes would arrive at certain, exact places right when he wanted them to, for instance? -- but the clunky, fun idiocy is part of the film's overall charm.
There is one thing Dante does in "Fast X," however, that should have given him even greater advantages over Dom and his family. Near the beginning of the film's third act,...

This article contains major Fast X Spoilers.
For a franchise where no one seems to ever stay dead, things sure look deadly serious at the end of Fast X. Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his young son sit beneath a Portuguese dam with mere seconds to think before its massive waters and debris crash on their heads; the B-team of Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Ludacris), Han (Sung Kang), and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) appear to have almost certainly perished in a car wreck; and even the return of Gal Gadot’s Gisele does little to soften the sting of Uncle Jakob’s (John Cena) noble sacrifice.
In its final moments, Fast X appears to reach for the sudden shock of seeing your favorite superheroes turn to dust in Avengers: Infinity War. Whether it actually pulls that off with excitement (as opposed to bafflement) is open for debate, but either way...

For over two decades now, the Fast Saga_, trashing the ancient city of Rome with a giant flaming bomb.
But, the thing with going a quarter-mile at a time is, sometimes you realise you’ve gone a quarter-mile in the wrong direction – and a quick fix is needed to keep everything just about on-course. Through the Fast & Furious franchise, characters have been brought back from the dead, timelines have shifted around, destinies have been rewritten, and never-spoken-of siblings have come to light, all in the service of – as Vin Diesel once so wisely put it – the movies. So, in honour of Fast X hitting the big screen – with yet more characters who are blood relations of familiar faces, people you thought were long dead, and revisiting of scenes from previous films – strap in for a Nos-boosted tour through the Saga’s most spectacular (and spectacularly stupid) rewrites.

So, I stated in a review from a couple of weeks ago that the Summer movie season has officially begun with the early May foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And just when does the movie madness kick in, where’s the big action blockbusters? Well, it goes full-throttle right now as we shift (see what I’m doing here) from the MCU to the F&fu (maybe I should leave off that last letter). We can officially call this one of our most enduring film franchises as it’s now well over 21 (so don’t imbibe before sliding into the driver’s seat). This weekend, and for a few weeks thereafter, action enthusiasts will buckle up at the multiplex for Fast X. And man, you can pop your corn on those searing engines.

Over the course of 22 years, the "Fast & Furious" films have resembled a great many different things: a sports movie, a crime drama, a martial arts action film, a globe-spanning spy saga, a high-tech sci-fi yarn, and even a role-playing game campaign. Yet the franchise's main theme has remained stalwart — the movies are all about the power and resilience of family, a 10-film franchise that seeks to prove the ancient adage, "blood is thicker than water."
Yet, as the series' continual instances of betrayal, side-switching, and tragic death followed by improbable resurrection make the saga seem borderline Biblical or Shakespearean, its exploration of the concept of family has not been entirely one-note. The Fast Saga has openly acknowledged that misunderstandings and deep-seated resentment can occur between family members, just as it's explored how rivalries can form between separate family units: witness the family of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) crossing paths...

Justin Lin may no longer be in the driver’s seat of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, but his blockbuster fingerprints are all over “Fast X.” The tenth — and most outrageous installment yet — in the ongoing fast-moving franchise delivers on its promise of high-octane thrills while very clearly setting-up a finale to the massive series, entering every living player from its past into the race. Though Lin’s abrupt departure put the fate of the franchise in jeopardy, French director Louis Leterrier has a solid command of explosive and heart-pumping action scenes to take it for spin.
Relying on homages to past stunts (like Diesel’s Dom Toretto driving out of a moving plane) and surprise appearances by long lost characters, the movie lays the groundwork for a possibly three-part finale (as Diesel has indicated). Whether it has any new tricks up its sleeve still remains to be seen, though...

Universal Pictures has debuted a new trailer for ‘Fast X’ titled “Open Road.”
Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever.
In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa), witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

More than almost any franchise in the modern Hollywood landscape, "The Fast and The Furious" franchise has always been about family. "Fast X," the franchise's 10th installment, is unsurprisingly no different, and with series protagonist Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) facing his toughest slew of enemies yet, he'll need all the family he can get. The new entry sees the introduction of one of the "Fast" crew's most dangerous villains yet in Jason Momoa's Dante, who aims to blow up the Vatican, amongst other certain villainies in his pursuit of vengeance against Dom and the crew.
To combat this increasing villain count, the Fast Family is getting another member in Tess (Brie Larson), the daughter of the mysterious agent Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell). While we know Tess is going to pursue an "impossible task" for Dom and the gang, she's still a largely mysterious addition to the motion picture franchise.

Who is Dante? A man obsessed with revenge who will do whatever it takes to destroy Dom and his family in Fast X. The new three-minute featurette focuses on Jason Momoa’s approach to playing a villain, something he hasn’t done in a decade, and his joy at joining the Fast and Furious franchise.
Returning franchise stars include Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Scott Eastwood, Oscar winner Helen Mirren, and Oscar winner Charlize Theron also reprise their roles for the 10th film of the saga.
Newbies to the F&f include Oscar winner Brie Larson as Tess, a rogue representative from the Agency; Alan Richtson (Reacher) as Aimes, the new head of the Agency who doesn’t hold the same fondness for Dom’s crew as his predecessor, Mr. Nobody; Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad...

Out in theaters next month, the tenth mainline "Fast & Furious" film "Fast X" is the most expensive one ever — and one of the most expensive movies of all time, in fact. The budget has ballooned to $340 million over the course of production, thanks to Covid-19 protocols, the original director Justin Lin quitting a week into filming, and a massive ensemble cast whose total wage bill now stands at $100 million. (Vin Diesel alone accounts for a fifth of that.)
It probably doesn't help that the cast just keeps growing with every new installment. This is going to take a while, bear with me. In addition to Diesel as Dom Toretto, there's Michelle Rodriguez as his wife Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson as the wisecracking Roman Pearce, Ludacris and Nathalie Emmanuel as tech experts Tej Parker and Ramsey respectively, Jordana Brewster as Dom's sister Mia Toretto, Helen Mirren as militia leader Magdalene Shaw,...

Universal took “Fast X” out for another spin on Wednesday, unveiling a new trailer for the 10th installment in the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
In the latest bit of marketing material, Jason Momoa’s villain takes center stage, slinging one-liners at his henchmen and executing a plot to blow up the Vatican.
Momoa plays a character named Dante Reyes, the son of the drug lord vanquished by the heroes in “Fast Five.” As usual in this series of fast cars and ludicrous plot twists, he’s out for revenge.
Momoa isn’t the only new actor set to join the “Fast” universe. The forthcoming film also stars Brie Larson, playing the daughter of Kurt Russell’s character, Mr. Nobody. Rita Moreno makes an appearance too as Dom Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) grandmother. Larson and Moreno are the latest Oscar winners to sit behind the wheel for “Fast & Furious” following Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren.

While Fast X has yet to hit theaters, Universal hasn’t wasted any time in snapping up director Louis Leterrier to return and direct the eleventh (and supposedly final) instalment of the insanely popular franchise. Many will note that Leterrier was a last-minute replacement for Justin Lin, who quit Fast X early in the shoot following a rumoured disagreement with star Vin Diesel. According to Deadline, Fast and Furious 11 is set to pick up right where Fast X leaves off, with it being described by Deadline as a “companion piece.”
Star Michelle Rodriguez had previously hyped a major cliffhanger ending for Fast X, so in some ways, it would probably be more unusual if Leterrier hadn’t returned. These Fast & Furious movies are difficult to make, with escalating budgets, so if Leterrier was able to pick up the pieces following Lin’s exit, expect him to become much in...

Chad Stahelski's "John Wick: Chapter 4" was such a massive undertaking that entire side characters, each one worthy of headlining their own action franchise, merely drift around the margins, waiting to contribute to the film's central fight scenes. There is the blind assassin Caine (Donnie Yen), who can locate his victims by sound and by placing motion-activated doorbells around the rooms he intends to fight in. There is Akira (Rina Sawayama) and her father Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada), the people who run the Continental Hotel in Osaka, each one deeply knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the assassin world. There is the Russian mobster Killa Harkan (Scott Adkins), an outsize, cackling villain who cheats at cards, sports golden teeth, and can handily pummel any foes into submission. One cannot accuse the "John Wick" movies of lacking for colorful supporting characters -- but you might be able to say that...

With the fourth entry of the series already gaining massive praise and admiration all around, I guess it can be said without a shred of doubt that as a franchise, “John Wick” has managed to revolutionize an entire genre of action-oriented movies for the modern audience, all the while staying faithful and conveying adulation to the classic action genre. Screenwriter Derek Kolstad’s and director Chad Stahelski’s inventive vision and lead actor Keanu Reeves’ passion led to making the simplistic arc of an urban legend engaging and unique. Through the use of a uniquely choreographed hands-on approach to the fight sequences, wide shots and long takes, appropriate fight settings, evocative visuals, detailed worldbuilding, and a keen sense of self-awareness—the franchise became one of the most influential ones.

All right now, for all you boppers out there in /Film land — just how much movie is "John Wick: Chapter 4?" The answer is, "So, so much movie." For anyone looking at the film's runtime worried that it would be one simple story stretched out to a huge length, fret not — "Chapter 4" is an epic in the old-school sense of the term, hopping around the globe with its titular assassin (played once again with brooding intensity by Keanu Reeves) as he faces a series of new and increasingly difficult challenges.

Keanu Reeves may be the centerpiece of the "John Wick" films, but the fourth and final chapter finds the perfect match for the titular character in martial arts star Donnie Yen as Caine. Yen has been acting in Hong Kong martial arts films for at least three decades, but English-speaking audiences who may be unfamiliar with his prolific body of work at least know him from the "Star Wars" spin-off "Rogue One," in which he played the blind warrior monk Chirrut Imwe. That may sound familiar to his "John Wick" role, but Yen approaches the two characters with two distinct styles and personalities, a testament to his talent as both an actor and a martial artist.
Caine acts as both the ally and rival of John Wick, the reluctant antagonist who's forced to kill his friend because the bigger bad guy — Marquis de Gramont — is threatening his daughter's life. John...

While speaking with Total Film, Brie Larson confirmed that she’s playing the daughter of someone we know very well — Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell).

Like "John Wick," it is kind of baffling to think of how far the "Fast & Furious" franchise has come since its humble origins. We've gone from a simple story that sort of emulated "Point Break" but with car racers and a dude who steals VCRs, to a blockbuster juggernaut that is basically the only rival for "Mission: Impossible" in terms of cast, stunts, and globe-spanning locations.
Regardless of what you think of Vin Diesel, his comparison of "Fast and Furious" to J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium is not that far-fetched. Sure, Tolkien did write thousands of years' worth of history, complex lore, religions, and entire languages, but Dominic Toretto's got family. Surprise character connections are becoming increasingly more important to these movies, which have long since abandoned conventional Hollywood blockbuster narratives in favor of doing a telenovela on the big screen. Everyone's got a secret sibling or relative that appears only to avenge their death,...

In "John Wick: Chapter 4," Chad Stahelski's latest, bonkers action spectacle, the titular assassin (played by Keanu Reeves) needs to find a way to request a duel on behalf of a crime family, but his excommunicado status requires him to jump through several hoops. A deal with the Ruska Roma leads John straight to German High Table senior member Killa (Scott Adkins), whose menacing presence immediately reinvigorates an already-thrilling saga of brutal revenge and possible redemption.
Adkins plays Killa with a sense of larger-than-life smug villainy while sitting behind a table and dealing the hand in an absurd, "Casino Royale"-esque poker game that is set to determine John's fate. In a startling declaration of power and control, Killa's little poker game further underlines John's status in a world where all the strings are pulled by the High Table overlords:...

The best franchises in cinema history are usually the unlikeliest ones. Movies like the first "Mad Max," a DIY action cacophony of carnage, or the grounded indie drama "The Fast and the Furious" about stealing VCRs. These started out as small-scale stories that eventually spun out into gigantic franchises with equally gigantic budgets and stunts, and expansive mythologies.
Likewise, it is hard to believe "John Wick: Chapter 4" comes from a movie that almost went straight to video and followed a simple (and honestly kind of silly) story about a man killing dozens of people to avenge his dog. But that was 2014, now we've moved on to bigger, bolder, and more violent things. Granted, there were always hints of a much larger universe even in the first film, with the mythology around the Continental hotel and the rules for this world...

If you know anything about poker, then you probably know that the poker scene in "Casino Royale" is one of the craziest scenes ever put to film. It features James Bond (Daniel Craig) in a high-stakes game with a bunch of other players -- a game that culminates in a four-way all in. The first guy has a flush (a great hand), the second guy has a full house (an amazing hand), and the third guy has a higher full house. The third guy, who's also the villain of the movie, smirks at Bond at this point, because his hand is so absurdly, improbably good, that the only way for Bond to win is if he's luckiest person in the entire world.
But James Bond isn't just lucky; he's cool. And there's nothing in the world that's cooler than having a straight...

The label "direct-to-video" used to be a death knell for filmmakers and movie fans alike. In the early days of home video, the term typically referred to features that weren't good enough to get theatrical distribution, causing studios to subsequently dump them onto the shelves of Blockbusters and Hollywood Videos, where — via gaudy box art, ridiculous taglines and/or highlighting the name of a slumming movie star or a legit celebrity (who would likely only have a cameo role) — they would try to entice naïve renters to check it out.
It can be exceedingly difficult for a subgenre to change a poor reputation, but everything started to change once theatrical distribution was no longer the only game in Hollywood as video, cable, and streaming services became more ubiquitous. One of the people who has been dragging the name of direct-to-video B-movies out...
