Steve Burton is officially dating Michelle Lundstrom, Daily Drama reported on Wednesday.
Although the outlet didn’t share any additional information about the couple, specifically how long they’ve been together, nor where or how they met, it did publish two undated photos of the pair out and about in New York City (see here).
In one photo, Burton and Lundstrom are seen smiling while walking around with their hands intertwined. In another, the couple poses atop the Empire State Building’s Observation Deck, which provides an impressive view of the New York skyline.
Burton and Lundstrom have not gone “social media official,” whereby publicly acknowledging their relationship with photos and declarations. Still, Daily Drama, which houses Burton’s podcast that he co-hosts with Bradford Anderson (“General Hospital”), indicated Burton confirmed the relationship with them directly.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the 10th and latest entry in the 56-year-old science fiction film series, made more than $58 million at the box office in its opening weekend. Not only did the movie exceed analysts’ expectations but it proved that seven years after the previous film in the cycle, and nearly six decades since the whole barrel of monkeys started, there is still an audience out there for this venerable and fascinating concept.
Which is all the more impressive when you consider how much of a unicorn this series is among the various stories, brands, and “intellectual property” revisited time and again by modern film studios. Whereas other franchises are eager at constantly revisiting their pasts, the Apes movies have proved remarkably elastic in stretching their concepts in the direction of new ideas and stories. Lydia Deetz, her stepmother Delia and her daughter Astrid stand over a casket, the burial services in progress. We can barely make out who the funeral is for but there he is on the headstone: Charles Deetz. While Charles was once part of the Beetlejuice sequel when the ghost with the most was to “go Hawaiian”, he was written entirely out of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice…for reasons that will soon be obvious.
Despite the original’s and sequel’s dalliances with the afterlife, Jeffrey Jones will not be in the Beetlejuice sequel– or pretty much any other legitimate movie – following his disgraceful tumble from his small but reliable spotlight. Perfectly fitting into prestigious period pieces and goofball funny flicks. Jones is a Golden Globe nominee with consistent work – a mix of villain, comedic and at times patriarchal roles, Jeffrey Jones went from Ferris Bueller baddie to Who’s Your Caddy?

The first Planet of the Apes movie under the Disney regime after absorbing Fox hits theaters this weekend with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes poised to do $50M+ domestic, and $130M WW.
After the dull opening of Universal’s Fall Guy, Jesus, God, Saint Mary and Joseph, let’s hope those projections stay steady. Apes plans to pull in the under 35 guy demo in a way that Fall Guy did not. Presales stateside of around $3.1M, in line with what was the 3-day of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning ($54.6M), indicate a $50M-plus debut. That start in U.S./Canada isn’t far from the $56.2M opening of Matt Reeves’ 2017 movie, War of the Planet of the Apes, and that would be considered solid. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ has the advantage that it’s opening at a time with less competition than War of the Planet of the Apes.

Kurt Russell and John Carpenter make a great team. The two first worked together on the TV movie "Elvis," and then went on to make "Escape From New York," "Escape From L.A.," "The Thing," and of course, "Big Trouble in Little China." "Big Trouble" isn't a horror movie or even your typical John Carpenter flick. It's a pulpy action-comedy that sees Russell playing buffoonish truck driver Jack Burton, who gets roped into becoming a very clumsy hero to fight a trio of ancient gods and an evil sorcerer. The movie is an absolute blast from beginning to end, and Russell is clearly having a lot of fun playing Burton, a character who thinks he's the hero when he's really more like a glorified sidekick to his friend Wang Chi (Dennis Dun).
Russell and Carpenter worked together well over the years, with Russell seemingly bringing out the best in Carpenter and vice versa.

Filmmaker Tim Burton is known for his gothic aesthetics and choosing to tell stories of weird characters. The filmmaker has put his stamp on blockbusters such as Batman as well as more personal stories such as Big Fish. He will be returning to one of his most beloved franchises with the Michael Keaton starrer Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
One movie in his filmography that stands out from the rest is his 2001 revival of Planet of the Apes. The project served as a remake of the 1968 classic sci-fi film, and starred Mark Wahlberg, Helena Bonham Carter, and more. The film was not received well upon release and is often considered to be a subpar remake of the original. Actor Paul Giamatti, who played Limbo, spoke about his experience while shooting the film.

B&b has shocked fans by resurrecting a recently deceased character. This was something that seemed like it might happen. Yet, it was doubtful it would occur so quickly after the character’s demise. So, who is it and how are they making this happen? Keep reading for more details.
B&b Shocks With Dead Character Resurrection
Soap operas are notorious for bringing characters back from the dead. General Hospital did that last month with Steve Burton’s infamous Jason Morgan. Burton was let go in 2021 for not following the network’s vaccine mandate. However, after time went by and his time was up on Days of Our Lives, fans hoped he would return to Port Charles. Sure enough, he did but his character had been killed in a tunnel collapse. Luckily, Jason Morgan was given a whole back story to explain where he had been so it ended up making sense.

Tom Cruise may have donned a majority of his roles in the action genre to the point where he is renowned for the same, but his one other classic masterpiece from the initial decade of his career literally sets the bar much higher. This movie is none other than the 1994 horror-fantasy film where he played Lestat de Lioncourt alongside Brad Pitt: Interview with the Vampire.
Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire.
If anything, what went into the making and the final result was so incredible that the film even scored two Oscar nods. But despite being such an epic piece of work, the movie’s VFX Artist Robert Legato still holds some regrets about one of the most iconic scenes in the film. Why? Well, the reason is simple: Because, in his eyes, “the idea was better than the execution.”

General Hospital spoilers tease that Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) absence from Port Charles for the last two years has been addressed. As viewers know, Jason was apprehended by the FBI and taken to Quantico.
While there, John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) offered Jason a deal. Jason was to either work for FBI as an informant, or Cates would have Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) arrested and sent to prison for 20 years. As of this writing, Carly still has no idea the sacrifice Jason made for her.
General Hospital Spoilers – Steve Burton Has Some Insight!
There have been complaints that Jason sacrificed everything for Carly, including time with his two sons, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Jake Webber (Hudson West). But Burton didn’t agree with the complaints.
During a recent episode of the Daily Drama podcast with Bradford Anderson, the two discussed the matter.

Buddy Adler was just two years into his brief reign as the Head of Production for 20th Century Fox in 1958 when producer Walter Wanger brought him an epic project that could potentially pull the then-struggling studio out of its box office slump. The film wound up soaring so far over budget that Fox would be forced to sell 180 acres of its Los Angeles backlot to Alcoa just to stay financially afloat.
Had Adler made "Cleopatra" on his own terms, the title role would've been a sensibly priced production toplined by one of the studio's affordable contract stars (e.g. Joan Collins or Joanne Woodward). Wanger, however, had outsized dreams. He saw the historical drama as a Hollywood epic for the ages. He believed in its potential to dominate the box office and win scores of Academy Awards. In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "Identity Crisis", Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) meets an old friend, Lieutenant Commander Susanna Leijten (Maryann Plunkett), the only surviving member of a mission they both went on years before. It seems that their compatriots have gone missing or stolen shuttlecrafts to return to the planet Tarchannen III, where they were last united. Soon after her arrival, Leijten also begins exhibiting weird behavior, twitching nervously and demanding a visit to Tarchannen III. Her body begins to mutate. Her fingers fuse together and eerie blue veins appear on her skin. Her eyes turn yellow. It's all Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden) can do to slow the mutations.
Geordi, while unattended, also suddenly begins to mutate. He eventually returns to Tarchannen III, having turned into a near-invisible creature that can only be seen under a special blacklight. Leijten has to overcome her own...

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, director Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel to his 1988 classic Beetlejuice (watch it Here), is set to reach theatres on September 6th. Since this is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year, it was, of course, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was promoted during the Warner Bros. panel at CinemaCon, the gathering of movie theater owners from around the world currently being held in Las Vegas.
During the Warner Bros. panel at CinemaCon, the crowd saw footage highlighting the film’s practical effects. JoBlo’s editor-in-chief, Chris Bumbray, says Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has more of the original’s style than the teaser trailer made it look. Keaton looks like the Ghost With the Most and hasn’t lost a step. WB showed more of what Keaton’s performance is like, and it’s fantastic!

The ghost with the most is back, baby, ready to wreak havoc on the Deetz family more than three decades after he first haunted their home. In Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," Michael Keaton's Beetlejuice returns to the big screen along with Catherine O'Hara's Delia Deetz and Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz. They will be joined by "Wednesday" star Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz, Lydia's daughter, bringing three generations of gorgeous goth Deetz women to do battle against the supernatural huckster Beetlejuice. We've already seen a short teaser trailer for the film, which briefly shows the Deetz women at a funeral (possibly for the family patriarch, Charles, played by Jeffrey Jones, who fell out the limelight after a shocking arrest). There doesn't seem to be any sign of the Maitlands, the ghosts who haunted the attic in the original "Beetlejuice," but we'll just have to wait and see what...

Michael Keaton was blunt about what audiences can expect when “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” hits screens, more than 36 years after the first film opened.
“It’s really fucking good,” the actor told theater owners at CinemaCon. And based on the zany look at “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” that Keaton and Tim Burton shared, the collaborators have come up with something that could be out of this Netherworld. Burton, Keaton, and Catherine O’Hara, who co-starred in the original, took the stage at Caesars Palace on Tuesday for Warner Bros.’ presentation to theater owners to hype the sequel’s undead delights.
“I was very nervous to see if we could pull this off again,” Keaton admitted. “But every day just got better.”
Burton directs the sequel from a script from Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, creators of the Jenna Ortega-starring Netflix series “Wednesday.” That makes sense as Ortega is in “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” She’s a newcomer to the series,...

Somebody in Sin City must’ve whispered his name three times because Beetlejuice manifested on the Colosseum stage at Caesars Palace Tuesday afternoon.
During Warner Bros. Pictures’ CinemaCon presentation, Tim Burton and the stars of his upcoming Beetlejuice Beetlejuice turned up to rousing applause from the capacity crowd gathered for the annual National Association of Theater Owners convention. Burton walked out first and said getting his Beetlejuice family together again was like “a big weird family reunion.”
As such, he was quickly joined by the film’s Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, Willem Dafoe, Justin Theroux and Monica Bellucci. (Upon walking on stage, Keaton joked, “I wasn’t alerted to the dress code” as everyone on his film was dressed in shades of black.) Michael Keaton, Beetlejuice himself, showed up at Warner Bros’ CinemaCon presentation for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Keaton, who already has seen the movie twice, said: “Truthfully, I don’t think it’s a secret anymore, but [Tim Burton] and I over the years kicked the notion around. Three or five years passed, we’d say, ‘What do you think?’ Finally we got it right. But also the script — it’s very difficult thing to write. Frankly, I followed his lead. I’ll tell you this, though, it’s really f*cking good. In fact, it’s great.”
Burton on why he made the movie: “I started thinking about it in the sense [that] I identified with the Lydia character being the weird teenage character. [I thought,] ‘What happened with the Deetz family?’ It’s three generations of Deetz women. I used the experience of as you get older. I just got really interested in that.

Lashana Lynch became the first woman to own the 007 title in the 2021 James Bond tentpole “No Time to Die,” but it turns out a plan to make James Bond a woman was actually pitched over 60 years prior. In Nicholas Shakespeare’s upcoming biography of Bond author Ian Fleming, titled “Ian Fleming: The Complete Man,” it’s confirmed that producer Gregory Ratoff floated the idea of casting Susan Hayward in a film adaptation of Fleming’s first Bond novel “Casino Royale.”
Shakespeare writes in the biography (via IndieWire): “Since the mid-1950s, many well-known actors had been approached [to play Bond]. Gregory Ratoff had the arresting idea of having Bond played by a woman, Susan Hayward. Ian had entertained several possibilities, from Richard Burton (‘I think that Richard Burton would be by far the best James Bond’), to James Stewart (‘I wouldn’t at all mind him as Bond if he can slightly...

From the campy version in the ’60s Batman to Christopher Nolan taking a more grounded approach with the character in the Tdk trilogy, Joker has undergone a lot of variations over the years. But among all the depictions of the character, which has two Oscar wins under its belt, Mark Hamill’s portrayal of the clown prince of crime is arguably the most iconic.
However, if it wasn’t for Michael Keaton, whose casting as Batman garnered backlash at the time, the Star Wars icon might not have stepped footing to the realm of DC to audition for Joker.

Ripped action stars have been around since the '80s when Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone battled it out to see who had the bigger muscles, the most guns, and who could beat up the most bad guys. These days, being in peak physical shape for a role is pretty much the norm. Unfortunately, this has meant many actors feel more pressure than ever to get in the best possible shape, often leading them to follow dodgy and dangerous methods in pursuit of the ideal movie star physique.
For example, it's been reported that Marvel molds actors into superhero shape using a controversial source. Health expert Dr. Todd Schroeder, who was interviewed for the book "MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios," claimed that "fifty to seventy-five percent" of Marvel Cinematic Universe actors take steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), "at least for the short term." In the book, Dr. Schroeder...

We all know that The Penguin and Mr. Freeze appeared together at this year’s Oscars ceremony and that they faced their former nemesis, Batman, who challenged them to come at him. A confrontation was avoided, and this funny performance became one of the night’s best moments. However, it seems that some of those involved want more! Danny DeVito, who played Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, in Tim Burton’s 1992 Batman Returns, recently said that he would like to go back to his role and tackle Batman once again, but this time alongside Mr. Freeze, who was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, DeVito’s Oscars co-presenter.
Schwarzenegger appeared as Mr. Freeze in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, where he fought against Batman alongside Poison Ivy and Bane. The irony of this situation is that while DeVito really did fight Michael Keaton’s Batman in Burton’s movie,...

Michael Keaton’s portrayal of Batman in the 1989 film and its 1992 sequel remains legendary, but what many don’t realize is that his casting initially sparked major controversy. Batman has always been one of the most beloved characters for comic readers, and making a movie about such a character was a difficult task, to say the least. And when Keaton was cast, people couldn’t envision Gotham City’s protector being entrusted to a comedic actor.
When Tim Burton chose Keaton, many were skeptical and lashed out. However, this decision not only became significant in Batman history but also played a crucial role in Mark Hamill voicing the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series!

As a brief prologue, we must remind ourselves how Rotten Tomatoes works. When a critic submits a written review to the Rt aggregate, they are asked to deem that review either "fresh" or "rotten." The critic typically gets to make the distinction, meaning a 2.5-star review can be either positive or negative, based on who is submitting it. It's based on pass/fail grades. Rotten Tomatoes will then create a percentage of "positive" reviews. If 60% or more of the submitted reviews are positive, the film is deemed "fresh." If 59% or fewer are positive, it's "rotten."
If a film has, say, a 73% approval rating, it doesn't mean that every critic gave it a 73 out of 100. It only means that 73% of the submitted reviews are positive.
All that said, some films receive such low approval ratings that one might be able to draw some logical conclusions about the film being rated. A...

On the passing yesterday of actor Louis Gossett Jr., An Officer and A Gentleman director Taylor Hackford and Roots co-star LeVar Burton remembered their late colleague and friend.
“One of the best to ever do it!,” Burton posted on X/Twitter. “Thank you, Lou… for everything!”
In a statement to Deadline, Hackford said:
“The role of Master Sargent Foley in An Officer and A Gentlemen was written as a white man. When I visited the Navy Officers Flight Training Center in Pensacola, Fla, I discovered that many of the Drill Instructors there were men of color. I found it interesting that Black & Brown enlisted men had ‘make-or-break’ control over whether white college graduates would become officers and fighter pilots.
“At that moment I changed the casting profile for Sergeant Foley and started meeting actors of color. Lou Gossett came to see me – I knew and admired his stage work.
