Australian actress Prakruthi Mysore Gururaj was born in Mysore, a city in the South of India. Prakruthi is a multi-talented, adaptable, and versatile person with excellent leadership qualities. She excels in the field of entertainment that including acting, dancing, and singing. She has an ability to pick up new languages and sings in 10 languages including Arabic, Chinese, Zulu, Sinhalese, and Russian. Apart from this, Prakruthi is also an entrepreneur with amazing public speaking and writing skills. She owns an organisation 'Connect Within and Beyond' a platform for motivational speech and empowerment.
Ever since Prakruthi turned 12, she followed her dream to start working and took choreography as her first step in the field of entertainment where she started choreographing dances for underprivileged children at schools in Mysore. There was no looking back. Since then, she has grown into a highly enterprising woman, winning numerous awards and accolades across multidisciplinary domains in India, the Middle East, and now her home in Australia.
Later Prakruthi ventured and became successful in the field of fashion. A young lady of 18 years, Prakruthi became a professional model who walked the ramp for 4 consecutive years and went on to be a judge for many beauty pageants back in India and now in Australia. She re-entered the fashion arena coming to Australia and now takes part in Red Carpet Fashion shows both as a model for emerging designers and as Master of Ceremonies. In a proud moment, Prakruthi has been honoured as an Overseas Ambassador for APF Mrs. Karnataka after being crowned as Mrs. Karnataka in a virtual pageant held in 2020.
The acting qualities of Prakruthi run in her family. She started her acting career through a short film 'The 4s' presented by IND-OZ Creations in a small role and then realised her ability in acting. Prakruthi hails from a family background of theatre and film where her grandfather M.C.Mahadevaswamy owned a renowned theatre in Mysore 'Kannada theaters' which has produced many popular actors in the Kannada film industry and her father M.Gururaj who has acted in a few movies and later perceived drama theatre 'Mahadevaswamy Mitramandali' and lived the rest of his life dedicated to drama until 1992.
Alongside her passion for fashion, she serves the local and global community to make a difference in people's life; to bring changes that will encourage people to overcome their challenges. Through her servicing, Prakruthi is considered as one of the eminent Community leaders in Queensland who works alongside many multicultural communities to promote multiculturalism in Australia.
Prakruthi has represented Australia at HWPL World Peace Summit in Korea for 2 consecutive years 2017 & 2018, where leaders from across the world had participated.
