Mumbai, Aug 24 (Ians) The rise of Punjabi musician AP Dhillon has been meteoric in true sense. The singer-composer and his team of Shinda Kahlon, Gurinder Gill and Gminxr released their first track ‘Fake’ in 2019 and since then there has been no looking back for the Canada-based boys.
Songs like ‘Brown Munde’, ‘Excuses’ which went crazy viral on Instagram, ‘Wo Noor’, ‘Ma Balle’, ‘Summer High’ have solidified their position. It’s not easy to churn songs that turn into chartbusters but for AP and his team, the journey of a song starts with a good cup of tea that opens up all their senses and puts them right on track.
Talking to Ians, Dhillon shared: “Making good music starts with a good chai like a good cup of wholesome tea, it just fills the team with so much energy and helps to set the vibe. So yeah chai is a catalyst.

Mumbai, Aug 22 (Ians) Punjabi music star A. P. Dhillon, who recently released his documentary series ‘AP Dhillon: First of a Kind’, has said that he initially didn’t like his chartbuster track ‘Excuses’.
He also shared that at times he is overly-critical about himself and his work and it does cloud his judgement and objectivity because he sets the standards so high.
Talking to Ians, Dhillon shared that for him life is a canvas and the inspiration for him and his team – Gurinder Gill, Shinda Kahlon and Gminxr comes from what all is going around them or what they’re going through.
Dhillon told Ians, “The inspiration comes from life, what all is going around us, from us dealing with something or if there’s something that affects us emotionally and mentally, we put all of that into army music.”

We have singers and songwriters who talk about youth, politics, the drug menace, and the social system. One of the Punjabi singers that broke out from this scene and enthralled music lovers with his brooding voice and his songs about love, life, and “brown munde,” loosely translated to “brown men,” is AP Dhillon, aka Amritpal Singh Dhillon.

Mumbai, March 20 (Ians) Two of the greatest forces of Punjabi music — actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and veteran singer Gurdas Maan — have joined forces for the reimagined version of the iconic track ‘Challa’.
The song, which is almost four decades old, has been given a new texture by the two popular singers.
Speaking about the project, Gurdas Maan said: “Close to 40 years ago, we created the original ‘Challa’. I thought it is time to revisit the classic again. What better way to do it than with Diljit. The song ‘Challa’ means the world to me. It represents celebration, union and separation in the most earthy and Punjabi way. It is a song that is very special to both Diljit and myself, so it was an incredible experience being able to recreate it with him.”
Diljit said: “‘Challa’ is an iconic Punjabi song that is close to our hearts and very special to me.
