Ruth Hertz Weber is a composer, songwriter, arranger, performer, and filmmaker who has won numerous awards including the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition as well as winning a Hollywood Music in Media Award, Parent's Choice Award, Mom's Choice Gold Award, and others. She has collaborated on film and music projects with artists such as Dan Aykroyd, Julian Lennon and Alan White and her music has been performed by major symphony orchestras including The Omaha Symphony, The Nashville Symphony, The Phoenix Symphony, and The Rochester Symphony.
She collaborated on the song, "Aimsir," with Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej as well as on the Billboard charting album, "Kochi" with her award-winning group, The San Diego Jewish Men's Choir (featured on KPBS, Jewish Television, and the Chabad Telethon.) In 2024, she directed and produced the award-winning documentary, "Ale Brider", featuring the men's choir and her struggle as their female director to keep them viable as a group and to continue their mission of preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Jewish music.
