After quite some time without news, Ed Boon and NetherRealm Studios finally confirmed the release date for the last character of Kombat Pack 1 in Mortal Kombat 1. Homelander, the popular main character from The Boys, will be available next week in the game.
Fans are not very pleased with the final version of this character; users on X say that it looks like a bad mod, and the lack of Antony Starr’s voice hurts the content. This was a strange choice, especially because Peacemaker has John Cena voicing the Dlc character.

We catch up with Roache-Turner as he’s filming his next film, The Beast Of War, which sees him swap giant spiders for giant sharks. “I just spent a day dealing with giant sharks. Wolverine #47 Writers: Benjamin Percy & Victor Lavalle | Artist: Geoff Shaw | Colourist: Alex Sinclair | Letters: Cory Petit
As the cover promises Laura takes the lead role for the majority of the issue. And all I can say is it’s about damn time! I have been waiting for her to play a part since the first issue. With the way this story arc has been structured it is effective to have this little detour with Laura in the driving seat. Remember we left the last issue with a strong cliffhanger so to suddenly veer off in this direction shows the strength and the confidence of the writing duo. On the subject of our dynamic duo, after 7 issues I finally noticed that on the cover either Percy or Lavalle’s name is first. Indicating who is the lead, in the case of #47 its Lavalle. I still think it’s more fun to guess though!

This wouldn’t be Sigourney Weaver’s first time in space, but it would be her introduction into a galaxy far, far away! The famed Alien, Galaxy Quest and Ghostbusters actress is currently in talks to join Jon Favreau’s big-screen adventures of The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Deadline is reporting that Weaver is considering a “key role” in the theatrical debut of the Disney+ characters. She’s undoubtedly a commanding presence, even when her screen time is limited to a guest appearance. But how will she fit into the Star Wars universe?
The woman who made Ellen Ripley a legendary character could easily be some Mandalorian matriarch. Or she could be a ruthless Imperial commander or Moff. Maybe even another one of those Jedi who escaped Order 66?

No matter how many lackluster sequels and spinoffs pile up, nothing will ever diminish the impact of the original 1979 Alien — one of the finest films ever made. It changed everything about how science fiction and horror films were shot. It brought the genre out of the realm of cheesiness and campiness and produced a vision of terror that felt Real. For those who have always wanted to dare to see the original Xenomorph up close, another chance is coming soon. 20th Century Studios has announced a new theatrical run this April 26 (Alien Day) in honor of the franchise’s 45th anniversary and to drum up hype for the coming sequel Alien: Romulus in August. The re-screening will include a special featurette about both Alien and Romulus including a conversation between the directors of the two films. There’s a persistent theory going around about a potential connection between Alien: Romulus and the original Alien. Potential spoilers ahead…
Nb: The following contains theories about Alien: Romulus that, if correct, could constitutespoilers.
It was revealed several months ago that the story in Fede Álvarez’s upcoming Alien: Romulus would take place between the events of Alien and Aliens. And as we saw in last month’s trailer, the space horror sequel certainly appears to lean more heavily on the Alien side of the equation, at least visually – the industrial, retro-futuristic corridors of its Romulus station are recognisably close to those of the Nostromo, the setting for 1979’s Alien.
There’s one theory doing the rounds, meanwhile, that suggests that Alien: Romulus’s connections to Ridley Scott’s classic could be more than skin-deep. The trailer appears to show that the Romulus orbits the same planetary system seen in Alien,...

While the first season splattered the Invincible logo with blood as the episodes progressed, symbolizing the lies and the violence that Mark is going to face going forward, Season 2 sees the title crack and chip, revealing a black and blue version of it, which super-fans know does not bode well for the enemies of Invincible.
Mark, in his classic blue, yellow, and black suit
Coming to the Season 2 finale, Mark will most probably switch his suit colors to the second iteration of his outfit, one that Art makes for him because the first suit has ‘too many colors’. In addition to the color switch, which will be black and blue, the suit will also no longer have knee and elbow pads, given that it makes no sense for someone called Invincible to wear so much protective gear.

This article contains spoilers from Invincible comics and potential spoilers for Invincible Season 2 Episode 8
Invincible Season 2 Part 2 saw Allen the Alien not only recover from his various injuries but basically come back stronger than a full-blooded Viltrumite. This is proven in his short encounter with Anissa, the “reasonable” Viltrumite who went to Earth to convince Mark to take his job as Earth’s conqueror seriously.
Allen the Alien fighting Anissa in Invincible Season 2 Episode 7
By the end of the episode, Allen allowed himself to be captured on purpose, probably as a part of a bigger plan. It must be noted that Allen was intercepted by the Viltrumites as he was returning to the Coalition of Planets from Earth, right after scanning Nolan’s books that reveal Viltrumites’ weaknesses.

The teaser trailer and poster for a truly terrifying cinematic experience from producer Ridley Scott and director/writer Fede Alvarez, 20th Century Studios’ Alien: Romulus, is here!
The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
Alien: Romulus opens exclusively in theaters nationwide August 16, 2024.
The production and set design are incredible – it’s a terrific combination of the Nostromo from the original 1979 film as well as the elevator from the 1986 sequel Alien.
In today’s interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Alvarez said of Ridley Scott and James Cameron:
James Cameron is also someone I’ve met through the years, and when he learned that I was doing it, we started chatting about it. So I also...

Son Goku might be the most iconic protagonist of all time, and fans believe that Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball features the strongest character to be ever featured in any manga or anime. However, this remains an extremely debatable topic if he is the strongest character ever because each time when one thinks that the character has reached the pinnacle of strength, he will shatter his limits and become better than his former self.

Intriguingly, this has led to the popular meme called ‘ But can he beat Goku?’, where the fans of the series use it to show off the character’s strength. The six-month production shutdown due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes is officially over today, and TV studios are not wasting a minute, with TV series — mainly returning broadcast shows going into full prep immediately.
As Deadline reported Wednesday night, just minutes after the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike was announced after the actors guild and the studios reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, TV casts and crews started receiving notifications for tentative start dates in late November and early December.
Here is a running list of the TV series that will be leading the way in return to production. We will be updating it continuously as new production dates are set, including for series like Netflix’s Stranger Things, Max’s The Penguin, Welcome to Derry and Hacks and Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, which are expected to start filming very soon. All dates are tentative and subject to change.

What if Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's Spider-Man was serialized, and had very bloody consequences that aren't reset at the start of each issue? That's "Invincible," not only one of the best superhero shows around, but one of the best shows of the year, period. The show embraces every trope and every weird element of comic books earnestly while adding a ton of violence and gore. In season 2, "Invincible" goes bigger, bolder, and with vastly better animation.
"Invincible" follows Mark Grayson, a teenager starting out his superhero career while navigating high school. The first season ended with a big climactic fight between Mark and his superhero dad, who turned out to be a psychotic murderer and alien from a fascist civilization. Season 2 dives right back into the aftermath of the fight, and the huge emotional and psychological toll it's taken on Mark, his loved ones, and the entire planet — and beyond.

Instead, it's all about the thematic weight of not one, but two...

During his panel at last weekend’s Terror Con in Marlborough, Ma, John Kassir — the Crypt Keeper himself — shared his perspective on Tales from the Crypt‘s complicated rights issues that halted TNT and M. Night Shyamalan’s reboot attempt in 2016 and continue to prohibit new iterations of the beloved horror anthology series.
“Obviously, Tales from the Crypt was a comic book, and those rights were granted to the producers of the show back in the late ’80s,” he explained. “So then they started producing the show, and it was very big producers. We’re talking about Joel Silver, who did all the Lethal Weapons, the Die Hard movies, the Matrix movies. He’s a very big producer, and he also has a reputation of being one of the biggest assholes in the business. You didn’t hear me say that, but you did!” The audience laughed.
“And Dick Donner,...

Before Lynch/Oz arrives in June, his documentary The Taking will arrive in cinemas on May 5 courtesy of Dekanalog and we’re pleased to debut the exclusive trailer.
A selection at Fantastic Fest and BFI London Film Festival, the film finds Philippe analyzing the myth of Arizona’s Monument Valley, its symbolism in westerns (including numerous legendary titles from John Ford), and its significance during the conquest of the West and in American history.
“Even though I have a little fun with John Ford, this intent is also not to trash John Ford. The intent is not to trash the function of myth. Myth is important, and the idea, as false as it may be, of this false narrative about the American west, still carries a lot of values that I can relate to,...

This month we’re probing deep into action/sci-fi territory with 1990’s Dark Angel; or depending on where you find it, I Come In Peace, starring the great Dolph Lundgren.
What It’s About
Rogue cop Jack Caine (Lundgren) has his partner killed by a gang of old white men called “The White Boys” (dead serious) who are subsequently murdered by a mysterious force using what appears to be a CD Rom disc as a weapon (still serious). While investigating, Jack and his new partner by force, Special Agent Arwood (Brian Benben), come across an gigantic alien...
