Spotted! Grime "Alternatively called 8 bar, sub-low or eski… there's no particular structure, just an average 136+ Bpm, lots of speaker-shattering bass, and tales of girls, guns, drug-dealing and the ultimate crowd-pleaser, 'slewing' – slagging off the competition a la Eminem in 8 Mile." Hattie Collins merks it
Jesus wept "If you're a male flagellation buff out for a night on the town with the girlfriend who hates Jerry Seinfeld and the rest of the children of Israel, I honestly can't think of a better date flick." Joe Queenan spots Mel Gibson's antisemitic streak in The Passion Of The Christ

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Daniel Radcliffe - masters of the finely honed promotional gambit
The big story
Uggie's rubbish! Welles was a hack! Truffaut who?!
Must-read stories abound this week - Daniel Radcliffe called Nick Clegg a "whipping boy", while 80s ham hocks Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone were pictured lying in twin hospital beds after being simultaneously admitted for shoulder surgery. "After all the action, stunts and physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up," said the Governator of the picture of himself and Sly in convalescence. "Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery".
Great stories both. Visual and quirky, a bit fun, a little silly. But it's that "coincidentally" that tickles us, especially since there was barely a beat before Arnie went on to plug his new action stomper, The Tomb, which co-stars ... ahem ... Sylvester Stallone.
