BET is getting the saved and sanctified treatment as Kevin Frederick’s “Churchy” is set to make its debut on the streaming service, BET+, on Feb. 15.
The series follows Corey Carr Jr. (Kevin Fredericks), whose “life takes an unexpected turn when he’s bypassed for leadership of his father’s mega-church. Determined to prove his worth, Corey packs up his dreams and heads to middle-of-nowhere Lubbock, Texas, with lofty ambitions to build his own ministry from the ground up. However, after quickly stumbling upon the realization that small-town church life is an entirely different ball game, Corey slowly accepts that the path to spiritual leadership might just be funnier and more profound than any sermon could ever teach,” reads the official description.
In addition to Fredericks, the cast features Anthony Elfoniza, Lexi Allen, London Solomon, Mark J. P. Hood, and Shani Shockley.

The first episode of Belgravia: The Next Chapter ended with Clara facing an injury as she fell down the stairs. Dr. Ellerby was under the impression it was a case of domestic abuse, but that was not the case, as confirmed by the help at their home. Frederick was coming to terms with his anger around how people viewed him, and Clara tried to clarify the actual truth, which is that people in the city were proud of his achievements. The newlywed couple was trying hard to come to terms with each other, and their marital life had just begun. There was more to come in the upcoming episodes of Belgravia: The Next Chapter.

"Y'all know how this goes" is how the revived version of "Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs" now begins. Kelsey Grammer, his voice a little lower with age, then kicks into a new version of the jazzy closing theme song to "Frasier," and it feels like a sign of the entire show as much as anything else. Anyone with even a passing familiarity with the 11-season NBC spinoff that aired from 1993 to 2004, or of Dr. Frasier Crane as a character, will have a general sense of how the reboot goes. Airing on Paramount+, the new "Frasier" mostly avoids bringing back too many returning characters, but in doing so, it highlights two sides of the reboot coin. Something strange is happening. There are a slew of murder mysteries in both the theaters and the streaming space. Perhaps Knives Out was so successful that it not only generated a sequel but spawned these other whodunnits, which try their hand at concocting a story and wow the audience with the revelation of the killer. Mystery Island, with its run time of 90 minutes, doesn’t make the plot too convoluted. The characters don’t take the story too seriously, which works for the kind of tonality the film seemed to be going for. The story begins on ‘Mystery Island,’ where a few wealthy people gather to solve fictional murder mysteries. The game turns deadly during one edition...
