- An award winning veteran Producer, Michelle Budnick began her broadcast television career in London, England making light entertainment shows for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and international cable channels before relocating to the United States in 2007.
After a spell working in non fiction and reality television on shows such as Love & Hip Hop, Millionaire Matchmaker and fan favorite; Mancaves, Michelle moved into documentary features and digital shorts. Starting with the Peabody Award winning Newtown (Independent Lens, 2016), quickly followed by multi award winning Milwaukee 53206 (America Reframed, 2017), Lessons from a School Shooting (Netflix, 2018) and social impact shorts; Run For His Life (GQ, 2018) and Descended from the Promised Land: The Legacy of Black Wall Street (PBS Nova, 2020).
Michelle then turned towards premium content, cultural impact documentary series; By Whatever Means Necessary (Epix, 2020), Bronx Zoo '90: Crimes Chaos and Baseball (Peacock 2024) and the highly anticipated Kings From Queens: The RUN-DMC Story (Peacock 2024), while continuing to consult with filmmakers on development of features and series.
