L. Erik Berglund
- Actor
Erik grew up in rural and small-town North Dakota and Norway, with the traditional blond-blue Scandinavian look, being full-blooded Norwegian and Swedish back to 1358. He worked for several years at his relatives' mountaintop ski lodge in Hadeland, Norway, raising and training Norwegian elkhounds & horses, practicing professional massage and serving in the Ski Patrol Rescue Reserve. Backpacking around Europe for 4½ years and living in Paris & Rome made him a committed big-city boy.
Prior to earning a J.D. from the University of North Dakota, Erik was a paramedic, mortician and coroner's investigator. He was one of the first persons with a U.S. law degree to study Admiralty & Maritime Law at the Nordisk Institutt for Sjørett in Oslo, Norway. He calls San Diego home and has worked for numerous years in the bio-pharma industry, and as of 2021 helps pharmaceutical companies get new psychiatric medications approved by the FDA.
